This week it's a French trance-a-palooza served up three ways by several of our favorite Radio artists.
BS has a new song out called "Vision of Life"--the original is the first track we're featuring. Then, Jonathan Araldi takes a crack at a remix, and if that wasn't enough, DJ Fire-Black does too. Watch the popular songs chart to see which one Audiosurfers like best!

Audiosurf Radio this week: David TMX
David TMX has been topping the charts over at the creative commons music website Jamendo this week so I figured we'd give him a try on Radio.
There are two flavors here--"La Peur du Flic" is sort of ska-ish with a touch of screaming, and then "Source Vive" is full-on French screamcore (just what I picture wanting to hear as I stroll down the Champs Elysee).
And lastly I threw on his song "Bridget the Midget" because seriously--how could I not?

Happy!
Holy mother of all things holy, I've never heard music as happy as the music we're featuring on Radio this week from Issey. "Manic" would be a better word to describe these tunes, and you can tell that from the traffic congestion: "Happy" starts out with a congestion of 385. That's just the warmup though because "Candy Pop" weighs in with a hefty 445.
And then I thought you might need to chill out so I included a 7 minute long sitar piece from Miguel Konstantin. It's actually got a lot more flow and momentum than you might think.

Psy Brazil now on Audiosurf Radio!
Why is Brazilian techno/trance so consistently awesome? I'm not sure what their secret is, but I'm just glad they keep crankin it out. Psy Brazil brings us our Radio tunes this week.
All three songs are in the neighborhood of 7-8 minutes long, have traffic of about 180 congestion, and all have a multiple-peak pattern to ride. "Back to Psicodelia" has some Brazilian flair up front, and "Out of Cell" has a more sci-fi/space feel to it. "Caffeine" may be my favorite song of the week because it actually feels all jittery and stuttery like its namesake.

Frozen Synapse week on Audiosurf Radio!
One of our latest obsessions here in Audiosurf-land is the indie game Frozen Synapse. It's a simultaneous turn-based strategy game for 2 players--sort of like crazy awesome chess with guns. Both players secretly deliberate on their moves, then everything is played out on the battlefield with kick-ass explosions and an awesome soundtrack. There's also a single-player mode in the works.
The creators of Frozen Synapse are offering a special deal this week to all Audiosurf fans who want to get in on the preorder beta. Go here to buy the game, and you'll get 20% off if you enter the coupon code ILIKESURFING. You'll get 2 copies of the preorder beta immediately, and then 2 Steam keys when the final game releases.
To celebrate that special deal, we're featuring some fantastic music from one of Frozen Synapse's creators. These songs all have thick traffic and epic bumpin chiptune awesomeness. _Ensnare_ made them all on a netbook!

Zamza now playing on Audiosurf Radio!
I've been listening to Bjork and The Cranberries this week, so I was glad to find the female vocalist Zamza who reminded me of that fantastic strong sound.
I love vocals in the upbeat "Out in Space" and the moodier "Brokenhearted". "Between the Ocean and the Sky" is a medium-tempo, chilled out electronic ride.

Schattenfell and Radek Samson on Radio this week!
This week on Audiosurf Radio I present to you two flavors of super-long (8+ minutes each!), twisty-turny, instrumental soundscape pieces--what can I say? I'm in a weird mood, and I had a lot of fun with these songs.
First up is the electronic soundscape "Nightbreaker" by Schattenfell. The first bit reminds me of crickets, but hang on--a very cool atmospheric ride is in store for you if you stick around for the downhill. "Circuits" sound effects worked best for me (click escape to change your sound effects)
Next up is the orchestral piece "Armageum" by Radek Samson. I had a lot of fun soaring through the curves with the strings on this one. I have yet to invent a scheme of sound effects that work well with orchestral pieces, so I'd just recommend turning sound effects off here.

Happy 2011!
Happy 2011 from Audiosurf-land! This week we've got some upbeat rock from the UK's Heifervescent. These songs remind me of sitting around watching Brady Bunch reruns where Greg wants to be a rock star--the lyrics suggest there's nothing more to worry about than which girl to take to Friday night's dance, or arguing over who's got the dreamiest eyes. I like it.
"Magnetized" and "Superglue" have the thickest traffic. "What's this all about?" has a 70s pop feel to it, and "Lunar Module" is the most laid-back of the bunch.

Rudolph on Radio!
Happy holidays from Audiosurf-land! We've got a few spiced-up holiday tunes to entertain you this week from J.E.L.L.i. If you've ever wondered what a punk version of "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" would sound like, then you're in luck. And you've got to appreciate a version of "The 12 days of Christmas" that's sung so incredibly fast it's done in 4 minutes.
And then we end things a little more calmly, with a holiday piano composition by Torley called "Celebrate Every Day."

Oleg Serkov now on Audiosurf Radio!
Ooh, I can't get enough of epic guitar music. So in that spirit, this week on Radio we present to you some mega-epic tracks from Oleg Serkov.
L.E.O. is a blur of curvy red tunnels the whole way through. "Way of warrior" is a gentler ride with a strong pulse that's still plenty epic.
