We continue our work with Pain & Despair update. We aim to post what we are working on and what our status is every SUNDAY from now on. Expect at least a screenshots and/or a blog post.
Breaking the silence
Greetings ladies and gentlemen.
We have been on a hiatus for some time now due to health related issues. Two (that's two out of three) of the team members have been gravely ill (no, not the flu kind, but life threatening and incapacitating kind). Honestly, we were not sure whether we could continue the development until everyone was in full health. We are sorry for the delay and silence, but please believe, we had little choice.
All that being said, we are gearing up now.
Avenging Angel Arena Stand Alone Single Player edition is available for download at http://www.avengingangelgame.com/demo/
It also portrays new graphics and controller support (struggled hard with that one, Xbox 360 Controller and DS4 are now fully supported as plug & play) and all the new weapons, which will be available in Pain & Despair update. We have also brought new enemies from the update to the Arena as well.
We will bring Avenging Angel Arena into steam in a few weeks and we are currently porting it also to LINUX. This will be an experimental alpha build, but we are seriously bringing Avenging Angel to Steam OS as well, and this is the first step towards that direction. Both versions will be in available eventually in Steam.
We will now continue our work with Pain & Despair update and we hope to bring it to you before Christmas.
Thank you for your patience.

Guns of Summer!
Hello all! We are now planning the next big content update for Avenging Angel a bit later in this Summer. Here is what you can expect:
New guns:
These can be dual-wielded with the already existing weapons:
- Katana
- Rapid Fire Flintlocks
- Shotgun
- Vincent's unique Gun Blade
A completely new area beneath the forest leading to another part of the Island topside. This will be a part of a new side quest which will open the "Memorial" near the lake. This side quest will also enable island topside fast travel between certain locations. Also expect at least one new NPC. As a reward for this side quest, a set of unique weapons will be added, which can be only obtained by completing this quest.
New soundtrack and music. A completely new soundtrack and playlist system.
UPDATE We can now also confirm:
- Wildlife
- Collectible plant ingredients for Alchemy in the forest
- New Goggle Glass upgrades
- New weapon upgrades and power ups
- Lots more weapon parts for crafting
We will let you know in early July when this update will be available.

Next Patch June 15th
Hi everyone! Based on the feedback and bug reporting, we will be patching the game on Monday June 15th.
Besides the normal bug crushing and optimisation for better performance, here is what is new:
- The Statue Forest area performance should be better. Some folks have experienced the game crashing between "Outpost" and "Statue Forest" (1st and 2nd area). The forest area is really, really big and we attempt to solve the issue by queuing assets differently and we are looking into memory allocation as well.
- The Hangar autosave point has been re-adjusted and death trigger at the Hangar has been removed.
- Controller support should be better. DS4 should work with USB and Bluetooth. After the update, we will also post a screenshot of DS4 settings we know will work.
Thank you all for playing, your support, criticism, and feedback.
We see you all and we hear you all.

Collectibles and achievements
Trading cards and achievements are now live as well. Feel free to comment on the achievements. We will bring a lot more of them in the future updates.
Game update today (Monday June 8th)
Hello everyone. A new update to the game just went live! Here's what's new:
Player Character controls are re-defined. Those of you who experienced trouble with DS4, this update should fix that. Unfortunately 360 controller does not work in menus, but gameplay should be now good.
Statue Forest area has been optimised and should run now smoother.
Enemy stats regarding "Arnold" 1881-A1 have now been re-adjusted. The direct fire from the gatling gun will still hurt, but the robot should bite the dust a bit easier. Fear not, it still a challenge.
Grenade launcher ammo now stays in the inventory.
"Recipe disappearance bug" in workshop now fixxored.
