Bug Fix Released - Please Update
I just performed an update to address some critical bugs that were reported by a user. Please make sure you update (restart Steam if necessary) if you encounter issues after loading into the game.
Please let me know if you encounter any issues.
Update - 6 New Levels and Music!
As promised, the new release is now live. World 3 is now accessible with 6 new levels. I brought back a few original levels that had interesting elements, and included 4 all new designs. World 3-6 should challenge even the best players.
Music has been added to all of the stages as well. I hope you find the music fits the gameplay.
For the next update (due April 6th), I'm working on the following:

Haptics (Rumble when grabbing)
Replay enhancements (proper scaling, player model, name, etc.)
Achievements - work is underway but not ready for release

Next Update Bumped to 3/23
6 new levels will be released in the next update, but I need a few more days to get them up to par. I'm delaying the release until 3/23 at the latest - I'm working to get them out ASAP.

Minor Update
A few levels were rotated to ensure that the player always starts facing the SteamVR-defined forward direction. This was especially annoying on level 1-1, which was 180-degrees from forward.
The next release will be March 16th. Here are some of the features being worked on:

Today is a big day for Awesome Obstacle Challenge. Many of the features I've been working on for months are finally released, and I'm excited for everyone to try them out.
With most of the game features in place, I can finally focus on creating awesome levels. The best is definitely yet to come.
Here are the new features in today's release:
Level Progression - Pass a level to unlock the next. Once unlocked, you can skip to a level any time.
Medals - You can earn Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals on each level.
Replay Ghosts - Your best run on each level will be saved. You can race your "ghost" to improve your time.
New Levels! - 6 new levels showcasing some new gameplay and enhanced graphics.
Enhanced Menu - The menu system has been improved. The menu shows your best time for each level, the medal time requirements, and which medals you've earned. A screenshot for each level is shown too.

Stability Update Released Today
A minor update was released today to resolve potentially game-crashing bugs. If anyone is seeing crashes after this update, please let me know.
Work is continuing on new features, levels and bug fixes. The game will change significantly with the next release, which I'm hoping to have out by the end of the year.
Looking ahead to 2018, I see great things ahead for this game!
Exciting News - New Release on Steam!
I'm very excited to tell you that a new release is now on Steam.
This release is the first of many to come. This is basically a re-write of the game with improvements to the climbing engine. It's not perfect, but it's a first step of getting everything working so I can focus on adding content. New levels and new mechanics are in the works. I can't wait to start building some really awesome levels.
** Known Issues **
- Leaderboards have been reset. There may also be an issue with posting new times to the leaderboards. I'm working on fixing it now.. FIXED!
- If you are walking/running and sliding to a stop, and then try start walking in a new direction, you will continue in the original direction. This is also being worked on.
- Many of the levels start with the player facing the wrong way. This will be addressed so you always face forward as forward is configured in SteamVR.
** In This Release **
+ Checkpoints - some of the more annoying levels now have checkpoints. If you fall, you will restart at the last checkpoint. (Note - some levels have checkpoints, but will not detect falls yet... Future levels will be designed to make fall detection simpler.. See Level #6 as an example.)
+ Hands! - You now have hands. Also, there is an indicator to show which hand is holding a grip. Customized skin tones will be available in the future.
+ A few reworked/new levels (Level #6, #19-27)
+ Collision detection should be greatly improved.

Awesome Obstacle Challenge is back!
The game engine has been updated and I am currently working through the existing levels to make them compatible once again.
I will release the revised game (the only noticeable change should be some bug fixes) once it has completed testing.
Another release by the end of this year will include as many of these features as I can complete:
+ Level progression (you must pass a level to play the next).
+ Gold/Silver/Bronze medals for best times
+ New Leaderboards for daily, monthly
+ New Leaderboards for fewest grabs (most efficient route)
+ Checkpoints
+ Ghosts
+ Time penalties
+ New obstacles and gameplay mechanics
+ Music and sound
Work will continue full-time into 2018 with additional levels and features.
