Patch 1.3 is now live on Steam - make sure to download the new version. Here's a list of the changes:
Fixed the bug that sometimes caused the ball to be shot out to another player when snapped.
The clock will now properly stop when an interception is thrown.
The 'Air Raid' achievement now properly unlocks when you gain 400+ passing yards in a single game.
The game now says "2PT GOOD" when you successfully convert a 2pt conversion instead of saying "TOUCHDOWN"
Fixed the bug that was repeatedly resetting the down and distance to 1st and 10.
Thanks for everyone's help and patience with the bugs. If any of these persist or new ones arise, please let me know!
Bugs & Custom Rosters
Hey folks! Two quick points:
1) We're pushing out a new version right now that has the stats tracking fixed. Any other bugs that happen, please let us know! There's been a few bugs reported about it staying 1st & 10 play after play and the ball sometimes being shot to a receiver when the play starts. We haven't been able to reproduce them on our end, so if they happen to you, please give us as much information as possible about what happened right before that (type of play, any turnovers, etc).
2) If you're customizing your rosters, please back them up somewhere on your machine. When you download a new version, they're going to be overridden.
Thanks for all of the positive feedback so far!
Roster Mod Instructions
Axis Football 2015 comes with basic roster mod support, and our first update (scheduled for mid August) will feature additional layers of modding (player stats and team uniforms).
If you would like to modify the rosters in the game, simply follow these steps:
1) Right-click on the game (Axis Football 2015) in your Steam library.
2) Selection 'Properties'
3) Click on the 'Local Files' tab
4) Click on the 'Browse Local Files' button
5) Open the 'Rosters' folder
6) Find the .txt document for the team you want to edit
7) Change out the player name, number, or race.
8) Save the file and launch the game
A few notes:
1) Do not edit the positions. Those aren't read into the game, they're there for you to see which player you're editing
2) Don't remove the *. Those are needed as delimiters so that the game can separate the information when it's parsed in.
3) I would strongly suggest keeping a backup of the rosters in the event that you screw something up. Worst case scenario, just redownload the game to get the default rosters back.
Local Multiplayer - Done! Rosters Mods In the Works!
Hey folks! Danny Jugan here with a quick update on Axis Football 2015.
I'm happy to announce that we've finished implementing local 2P games (using two controllers), and it's actually a ton of fun! We probably would have finished a day or two earlier if we didn't spend some much time "testing" out the new feature ;-). Local multiplayer will come free with the game at lauch.
Since Axis Football was Greenlit, you guys have been great about communicating what you'd like in the game, and we've done our best to accommodate that! Based off of your suggestions, we have added Steam achievements, Steam trading cards, controller support, local multiplayer, updated animations, and we have a 3D artist working on a brand new player model for the game. There are a dozen other great features that have been requested, and we have plans for them, but the remaining resounding desire for the game is mod support.
Axis Football 2015 launches in less than two weeks (yay!), and after some internal discussion, we have decided to implement basic roster (team name, player names & numbers) mod support to the game. We plan to support full mods in the future, allowing for custom team logos and colors, as well as an in-game interface for making the modifications. For now, we will be moving the roster data to external files so that they can be edited and loaded in at run-time.
We hope our efforts in responding to the feedback of the community are taken as a sign that we care about what you want in this game and that we actually do what we say we will. We recognize that this game – and its future success – relies entirely on the support of the community, and we hope that we are transparent with our intentions of making this game an amazing game that embraces what PC football gamers want!
Hey folks! We know this game isn't where a lot of you would like it in terms of graphics. To be honest, it's not where we want it either!
Because of this, we're happy to announce that we've got a fantastic 3D modeler working on some brand new player models for Axis Football 2015. These models will have drastically improved poly count, resolution, and support for visually improved shader parameters like normal maps and light maps. On top of that, this new model/texture configuration will allow us to create custom uniforms for each team rather than just swapping out the colors! If these aren't ready for launch on July 15th, we'll include them in one of the free updates we have planned.
You can follow along with the development of the new player models by liking our Facebook or following our Twitter page.

PS - We've mentioned before that we plan to reinvest game sale revenue back into the franchise. This is just one example of how we're going to do it. Please share this game with your friends and help us build a better football game!
Axis Football Plans - Present & Future
Hi folks! Danny Jugan here, creator of Axis Football. I'd first like to say that I appreciate all of the feedback and suggestions given about the game. As we near the July 15th release date, I wanted to take a quick moment and shed some light on our current and future plans and perceptions to hopefully answer some of your questions about the game. Some points:
I don't intend for this game to be a Madden killer. It's obvious that the two games are on different levels, and Madden does a lot of things really well. I made this game because I love football games and felt that players would enjoy playing something different. Yes, when compared directly with the strength of Madden, this game will come up short, but there are a lot of features that Axis Football can (and will) provide that Madden does not. Such as...
The mouse-aimed passing system is by far the best feature of the game. It's a blast, and it simply allows you to feel more like a QB than the standard button passing system.
My vision for Axis Football is long-term. The first installment (2014), featured basic quick match and season play. In 2015, I added several features both mechanically, graphically, and conceptually. My goal is to continue to add major features each year with the revenue generated from game sales. I made Axis Football with a $450 budget. With a more serious budget, I could make something truly great.
I honestly care about, listen, and act upon player feedback. I hope my track record speaks for itself here, but the features I implemented in Axis Football 2015 were directly from player feedback from 2014. On top of that, once the game was Greenlit, there was overwhelming feedback (more like hate ;-) ) about three particular features: 1) No controller support, 2) The football carry animation, and 3) No multiplayer. I have since updated the run animation, I'm 98% done with controller support, and I'm implementing 2-P local multiplayer. All of those will be in the game at it's release on July 15th.
A few f\uers have mentioned that they haven't heard of Axis Games. While it's true that Axis Football has been going on since 2009, Axis Games was initially an exclusive Flash Game development company. It was until 2013 that I officially switched over to making PC games. So, even though we've been around since ~2004, unless you were big into the Flash Game scene or are fans of the Hands of War series, you probably never heard of us, but that doesn't mean we weren't making games ;-)
So what can we expect to see in the future from Axis Football? I thought I'd take a second to list the features that are top on the list of things to add in the next update/version of the game. Here is what is currently in the plan:
Axis Football 2015 Free Update (~September, 2015)
Oculus Rift support
Spin/Juke moves
Playoff on-field graphics
Axis Football 2016 (~July, 2016)
Complete GUI overhaul (the current theme looks out-dated)
Franchise mode complete with player draft between seasons
Season stats
Modding support
New Jersey textures
Hot Routes called from line of scrimmage (we'll still keep audibles)
Touchdown dances
Polish: (update linemen animations when they're in a block, AI improvements, etc.)
To sum everything up, I know Axis Football doesn't have everything that you want it to have - yet! It's going to take some time to get all of the features that you have come to expect. I'm asking for your support in helping build a football game franchise that gives players options. I'm in this for the long-haul. If you decide not to purchase the game when it releases, I ask that you at least mention it to a friend!
As always, thanks for your support. If you have suggestions or feedback, please feel free to reach out to me at any of the contact mediums below!
After some feedback from several players, we've updated the animation for running with the football. You can see a screenshot in our FB update post Here!
Adding Local Multiplayer & Controller Support
Hi Folks,
After some internal disussion and player feedback, we've decided to add two features that will be available at launch on July 15th! First, we'll be adding full XBox 360 controller support. This allows us to add local multiplayer where you and a friend can battle it out on the gridiron with your favorite teams!
We know that online multiplayer is something that a lot of you have requested. I can promise that we're working on it, but we won't have it in the initial release of the game. It will be added in as a free update shortly after launch.
Thanks for all the support!
Happy Gaming,
Danny Jugan

Multiplayer on the horizon
Hi folks!
We know multiplayer is something that fans would love to see in Axis Football. Let me assure you that we are not only working on it, but it is our #1 priority. If multiplayer is the only feature that you're interested in, let me encourage you to still check out the current game. The AI is actually really good, and season mode is a ton of fun.
