Axis Football v3.0 is now live!

Hi, Folks!

Thanks for the continued support and feedback! We've releaved v3.0 which should address a lot of the issues you've seen.


  • Added achievements to the game!
  • Fixed the issue where the players would tap the ball into the air over and over and gather around it. It looked like hot potato, and while it was funny, it wasn't very simulation football.
  • Fixed the issue with the music playing when it should not.
  • Adjusted the kicker's position on kickoffs so he actually kicks the ball
  • Fixed some QB/RB handoff interactions
  • Fixed some roster errors with attributes being too high/low
  • Fixed a bug that was causing the accelerated clock to stop working on AI vs AI matches
  • Fixed an error with the player editor where the discipline attribute wasn't getting set properly

Axis Football 2018 v2.9 is now live!

Folks,

Again, thank you for your continued bug reports and feedback. We will continue to put out patches to refine gameplay and fix issues!

v2.9 Changes:


  • Fixed several bugs with penalties and changes in posession. Previously, there were a few edge cases where penalties occured during turnovers or other changes of possession that canceled out the turnover/CoP. These have been fixed.
  • Adjusted when the AI will call TOs (they were calling them a bit too early before)
  • Teams will no longer wait to snap the ball (i.e., run out the clock) if they're losing at the end of the game. This was a slight error in the logic that wasn't taking into account AI vs AI games)
  • The clock will no longer run when exiting out of defensive audibles
  • Fixed a bug that was causing the cursor to be hidden when opening the depth chart from the playbook window
  • Fixed some of the logic for the "Ask Mike" feature when selecting defenses on 4th down and during PAT
  • The user can no longer let the clock run down indefinitely when they are on defense by not selecting a play

  • Adjusted the pass trajectory a bit. Too many throws were behind the receivers.
  • Adjusted catch chance in double and triple coverage.
  • Fixed an issue with the punt returner running circles around where the ball was going to land

Axis Football v2.7 is now live!

Folks,

Version 2.7 is now live. Check out the change log below:


  • QBs will now properly transiting to running/scrambling as soon as they cross the line of scrimmage instead of 2-3 yards past it. The defense will also react to the QB crossing the line more realistically.
  • Adjusted how punt returners line up to catch punts so that they miss fewer of them.
  • Adjusted the speed of Baltimore's RBs, they were far too low.
  • Fixed a bug that was causing the extra point to be bypassed when a penalty occured on a TD.
  • Adjusted the kicking game a bit. Some kicks were falling way too short.
  • Starting funds for franchises are now based on that team's current salary totals. Teams with better players will start with less money and vice versa.


We are aware of additional bugs that are still present - mostly surrounding penalties. We are continuing to work to fix these.

Axis Football 2018 v2.6 is now live!

Folks,

Thank you for your continued feedback. We've made a number of slight adjustments to improve the quality and realism. If your update doesn't automatically download, make sure you exit out of Steam and load it back up.

Here's a list of changes in v2.6:


  • Adjusted the blocking algorithm to be framerate independent. You should now see much more consistent blocking. This should have a positive effect on the number of sacks and rushing yards during a game to bring them more in line with simulation football.
  • Adjusted catching in coverage to be more realistic
  • Added Steam Controller support for saving files when using the player editor
  • Fixed a bug with the Ignore Controller toggle that was causing players to not be able to use the keyboard after turning this on. Whenever you turn this toggle on or off, we recommend that you close out of the game and open it again.
  • Adjusted some of the animation transitions to make them smoother
  • Fixed an issue with a Pistol formation run play


PS - We are aware that there are still some lingering issues with penalties - especially when a penalty occurs during a change of possession/score. We are working on those and will get them fixed ASAP.

PPS - We are currently experiencing heavy amounts of rain and wind from Florence. We have not lost power, but many of the homes around us have. We hope to be able to continue to put out fixes as needed but wanted to let everyone know of our current weather situation.

Axis Football 2018 v2.5 is now live!

Folks,

Thanks for your patience as we continue to address the feedback and issues you guys bring up.

Here's a list of changes in v2.5:


  • We added a new toggle to the options window called "Ignore Controllers." If this is checked, the game will ignore any controllers plugged in. This is a fix for those people that have non-useable controllers for Axis Football plugged in (e.g., Racing Wheels). If Axis detects any controller it automatically disables and hides a lot of buttons, making it impossible for users who wish to use their keyboard and mouse to play the game. Naturally, this was an unintended consequence. If you wish to use your keyboard and mouse to play the game, please make sure that "Ignore Controllers" is checked under the main menu options screen.
  • Added a "Run In Background" option for the game to the options menu. This will allow the game to continue to run (instead of automatically pausing) when the game window loses focus
  • Adjusted receiver's ability to catch the ball when covered. We were seeing some unrealistic catches in double and triple coverage in addition to higher than realistic completion percentages from QBs.

Axis Football 2018 v2.4 is now live!

Thanks for the great feedback on day one of our release! We've addressed a lot of your suggestions and hope this version is a lot better for you guys!

Here's a list of changes:


  • Fixed a display issue with rookies in franchise mode. Under the player contracts menu, only rookies will have a (R) next to their name.
  • Adjusted the OL/DL blocking to better balance the run game and sacks.
  • Fixed the issue where players would circle around the ball when trying to pick it up
  • Fixed the bug that was preventing users from setting the resolution of the game
  • Fixed the checkbox for the fullscreen toggle option
  • Fixed the bug that was automatically resetting the camera to the player view instead of the broadcast view after halftime during AI vs AI and Coach Mode matches
  • Smoothed out player movement across a varying framerates
  • Adjusted the kicker so he no longer runs past the ball when kicking it
  • Adjusted the animation for the holder on FGs to be more realistic

Axis Football 2018 First Update

Folks,

Thanks so much for a great release! Day 1 has been awesome! You guys have provided a ton of great feedback. I want to ensure you that we take that feedback seriously. To that end, we will be pushing an update tonight with some adjustments and fixes for some items that popped up today.

You guys purchased this game and deserve it to be the best experience we can provide, so we're going to work to make that happen.
