Azrael Halloween Event!

Surprise!
I've been hard at work the past couple weeks putting together a Halloween event for Azrael.
I'll also be putting Azrael on sale for a few weeks to commemorate, 50% off.

This event is *Free*, can be played by default and doesn't need to be unlocked. It will also be permanent and always available. I've also made a few QOL changes here and there, but nothing of significant note to the base game. (The event is canon and if you complete all the endings you'll likely be able to figure out what it means.)



Notes:
-Added a New Halloween Event that can be found on the main menu.
-Added new achievement for completing the Halloween Event.
-New track and SFX for Halloween Event.

-Added some client-side audio control.
-Updated some visuals to be more efficient on the engine.
-The Relics in Ch. 2 are more clearly blocked off depending on what ending you're going for. (Used to be an invisible wall.)
-Minor bug fixes

AZRAEL VERSION 2

Arriving far before the deadline, but with everything promised and more, Azrael V2 is available for download. There is too much for me to spell out everything individually, but I'll try once more to give a recap.

-Fully implemented save system with New Game and Continue option
-Can now view acquired endings from title screen
-Main Area complete rework and expansion
-Updated VFX
-Several New Levels outside of the main maze
-Sticky collision on walls fixed
-Bug fixes
-Several important QOL additions
-Several file optimizations to further reduce game size
-2 New music tracks
-New SFX
-2 Secret endings
-More story points
-More collectables
-Several Dialogue reworks

Azrael Version 2

Azrael has been out for a few days now, and Spafnar Studios has been working morning to morning to do a complete overhaul of the current version. Here's what the creator has to say:

"Azrael in it's current form is the way the game was meant to be played. Vague and empty with little to no quality of life elements. I've described it to a few people at this point as a "playable art exhibit."

Because of the reception being mostly "not bad" but just pretty confused, I'm in the process of reworking the game to add way more gameplay, an actual puzzle, more interactables, map optimization, more sounds and songs, and several story points to make the themes more comprehensive.

It has a lot of things that require deep interpretation to understand, but I didn't want to just straight up confuse people and leave them with an unfulfilled experience. In essence; I'm quadrupling the game time, adding more depth, more explanation, more qol elements, and more achievements"

Azrael V2 is set to release sometime before the end of August.

Patch v1.01

After releasing I received quick feedback from several players.

-Added a few optimizations
-Few UI changes for better instruction
-Removed several unnecessary files

More to come, thanks for playing Azrael, I know it's short; expect a free addition in the future to better build context for the player and add more game-play.
