I've rewritten Balthazar's Dream to fix certain performance issues that were caused by texture editing.
We've finally uploaded Linux version (please check if it's working alright!)
Running Kickstarter and working on the Artificer demo took all our time, but don't you think we forgot Balthazar's Dream! I will have some time next week so I'll use it to work on a new level!
We've hired a new animator for Artificer, you can see his work above.

Future update and Artificer - our new game!
Hello!
It is my pleasure to announce our new game - The Artificer. It is a survival RPG all about crafting magic. It's coming to Kickstarter on 5th September and it would be awesome if you could support us on launch date!
We're also running a special promotion for two weeks - anyone who signs up for Artificer newsletter and promises us support for our upcoming Kickstarter will get Balthazar's Dream for free.

Crazy update! A new level, achievements and trading cards!
Greetings from the dreamland!
Say hello to the first content update to our little game so far. Balthazar's Dream gets an additional challenging puzzle level.
Level features:
- a new gravity reversing mechanic connected to the infamous pit bull ban
- difficult segments mixed from elements from all levels
- a new clever use for hydrants and falling tables
It can be accessed after finishing the game by clicking on this guy in the main menu:
IMPORTANT NOTE!
You can enable the level by pressing B A L keys simultaneously in any level - not in menu (a shortcut for those who played the whole game before the update and don't want to do it again).
There is a neat reward for finishing the crazy level and I hope you'll like it!
In other news, achievements are live. You can now perform various tasks to earn 19 distinct achievements. Some are really hard and if you get Immortal Dog, contact us and we'll congratulate you personally!
We've also rolled out trading cards and we hope you find them super cute and rewarding.
That's all! See you in a month or so when we'll release the second crazy level.
We'll be rolling out an update in the next few days. You can already see that achievements have been added to the game. As in the title, we've also cooked up some lovely looking cards and badges for you.
Aside from this the game gets an upgrade, here's the outline:
- new secret, super challenging level with gravity reversal Canadian Legislation (sic!) feature (after the completion of the main storyline)
- various improvements to stability and performance of the game (in game sprite pixel manipulation gets rewritten)
- bugfixes to the collider system
For the next 14 days the game is on sale, so if you haven't already buy it so we can make more games and more levels for Balthazar!

Balthazar's Dream is officially released! It is our first game and we are really proud.

We would like to clarify some confusion. Due to a rookie mistake on our part, we have to push back the launch of the game to 30th May. We missed the information on how the Steam review process works and we have to wait a bit to be accepted.
We apologize for this delay and we'll use the additional time for polishing the visuals and sounds and testing.

Balthazar's Dream release date and a preview video
1. We've set the release date of our game to 19th of May. We don't want to rush it and the additional month will greatly improve the quality of the game through extensive testing.
2. Betatest signup is open! (Follow the Google Form link in the KS update, Steam removes that link for no reason).
All testers will be included in the credits along with a one line message (great way to propose to a REALLY NERDY platformer loving person).
3. Things we added to the game since the forest update:
A space level with gravity based mechanics
Asteroids, space ducks, space dog huts, Laika and UFOs
Frisbee side scrolling shooter level
Kites, fireworks, balloons and birds
New boss fight - THE MAILMAN
Loop puzzle level, where you'll have to revisit the site of the car crash and change the course of history
Final boss fight - THE EVIL PRESENCE - three phases, ally assist and more
New sounds and music for every level
Ability to choose your dog breed (compatible with the SpaceDog Suit)
Save/load capability
Controller support + vibrations
New camera system
New cutscene system
4. Things that will probably be cut from the game:
Hospital 'real world' level. Space and frisbee levels are twice the length we originally planned and we think we might not make hospital level in time (remember there are only two of us + a dog). While we still might be able to squeeze it in, we're taking a cautious approach and we've decided to tell you how things look.
