Early Access Release v.013

This week we've set about fixing more bugs and further tightening up the gameplay. Please continue to feedback to help us to refine and improve.

Bug Fixes:
- Fixed player facing the wrong direction when a round starts.
- Fixed the sponsor area bug not allowing progression.
- Fixed the sponsor area UI allowing for continuous sponsorship beyond level 3
- Fixed the popup message for the wetsuits that state that wetsuits are offered within the challenge modes


Additions/Alterations:
- 🌊 Trick spray tied to Power Turn level completed
- Air, Tube, and Combo Challenge duration extended from 2 to 3 minutes
- Mahina: facial and upper body visualisation improvements
- Vahine: facial and upper body visualisation improvements
- Felicity: facial and upper body visualisation improvements
- Soli: facial and upper body visualisation improvements
- 🌊 Re-worked wetsuit customisation UX outline (80% complete)

Early Access Release v.012

Hey Everyone,

Here is another update. There are a few bugs we are aware of and we are actively fixing right now. Please continue to feedback to help us to refine and improve.

Bug Fixes:
- Pro female and custom female one & two piece suits are fixed and now accessible

Additions/Alterations:
- 🌊 We have started work on the power turns, which now influence the amount of board spray
- 🌊 Floater range has been extended
- 🌊 Late air drop animation added
- Shoulder hop scoring re-work for take-offs to encourage taking off closer to the pocket

Early Release Access v.011

Leaderboard Legends online is now active, which is the final piece of the games infrastructure before the initial release. Its not quite a Ghost system, but you can see people's scores and you can also surf against your opponent's character and challenge their score. There are a few bugs we are aware of and we are actively fixing right now. Please continue to feedback to help us to refine and improve.

- β€˜πŸŒŠβ€™ Fixed bug that locks player input when they try to dismount PWC in certain cases
- β€˜πŸŒŠβ€™ Fixed delay between pumping animation and executing pumping tricks
- β€˜πŸŒŠβ€™ Mid tube area and above will now wipeout the player within the barrel
- Fixed tour cutscene not loading if the "A" button is pressed excessively during the loading screen

Additions/Alterations:
- *NEW* Online Leaderboard Legends game mode. Players can now play against the scores uploaded to the monthly leaderboards
- Updated Creatures of Leisure logo
- Changed FS Drifting Reentry to FS Lip Grab
- Player can now access equipment screen by walking up to the board rack in the levels and pressing the "Y" button
- Added camera shake when in mid tube area to give warning that the player is about to wipeout

Hey Everyone,

We have another update on a few fixes and adjustments to the feel of the game on the communities feedback. Some more tightening up of the gameplay. Please continue to feedback to help us to refine and improve. Here are the patch notes for Release v.010:

Bug Fixes:
- 🌊 Fixed incorrect spawn on the 2nd peak at Saquarema
- 🌊 Update the Brazilian Portuguese screens – specific feedback, special thanks to Luiz
- Fixed background images not consistently appearing in pop up messages
- Fixed player towing behind jetski in tour modes after towing in free surf
- Tow rope and handle is now visible in replay
- Fixed broken rope for the Tow In, more consistent release near the lip area and in general
- Fixed legrope breaking once you leave the replay scene

Additions/Alterations:
- 🌊 Adjustments to Drifting re-entry animation
- Localisation: added more French, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish and Japanese updates
- VFX optimisation – changes made to; PWC, Trick/Board foam, and the Environmental VFX
- Added dialogue to end of tour cutscene
- Slight tweaks to in-tube camera
- Typo fixes for in-game ui

Early Access Release v.009

Hey Everyone,

We are continuing to update the game feel based on the communities feedback. We've made some more changes as a result of some of the feedback so far with a view to tightening up the gameplay. As usual, so please continue to feedback to help us to refine and improve. Here are the patch notes for Release v.009:

Bug Fixes:
- Fixed wetsuit temperature stats showing '0' in summary menu
- β€˜πŸŒŠβ€™Fixed sudden 360's during certain hold tricks
- End of tour cutscene no longer shows player winning if they don't place first
- Fixed doctor/physio/massage values to be consistent across the game

Additions/Alterations:
- *NEW* In-game panel that displays the conditions of the ocean whilst paddling
- *NEW* In-game panel that explains when the player has taken enough damage to noticeably affect their stamina/balance/power stats
- Both new in-game panels can be accessed by pressing β€œL3” whilst paddling
- Changes to equipment scene to better illustrate stamina/balance/power stats when affected by health
- β€˜πŸŒŠβ€™ New animations to help guide the player if they catch the wave facing the opposite direction
- β€˜πŸŒŠβ€™ Adjustments to miscellaneous on-wave move animations - more to come
- β€˜πŸŒŠβ€™ Brazilian Portuguese localisation changes - we have just started updating the screen changes pointed out to us by Luiz.

Hey Everyone,

We are beginning the process of updating the feel of the game based on the communities feedback. This is still a work in progress so please continue to help us refine and improve. The specifics are appreciated. Here are the patch notes for Release v.008:

Bug Fixes:
- Fixed stamina/power/balance stats for pro surfers
- Fixed all temperature settings being available for all levels

Additions/Alterations
- 🌊 Stall - dramatically slower
- 🌊 General surf velocity - toned down. Pocket based surfing with more flow is the focus
- 🌊 Improved wipeout zones for a better interaction with the lip on non-tubing waves
- Damage rate for the board tweaked
- Damage rate for the player tweaked

The next items we're going to look at is adding more bite or grip to the turns, as well as working on some updates to our pump mechanic. We're also not far away from our competitive leaderboard going live.

Roadmap

Hey, thanks for being here and showing an interest in Barton Lynch Pro Surfing. This game is made by a small group of people (around 4 FTE, 4 PTE), passionate about surfing - this includes the sport, the lifestyle and our culture. We're still working on the game and we are constantly fixing bugs and adding new features.

This roadmap is a basic plan for where we are now, and where we plan to take this. It’s a full game, but we’re still working on it and we’ve got a lot of plans. Some features that didn’t make the initial cut are in the process of being polished and will be added in future updates.

Right now our focus is on taking on board the communities feedback, fixing bugs and optimizing and as we get further along we can begin to add more features.

- Fixed stamina/power/balance stats not displaying correctly in some cases
- Resolved collision issue that caused camera to move erratically when surfing in certain levels

- Decreased time to reset camera rotation in tube
- Dropped down minimum height for camera when in tube
- Camera now slowly resets vertical position as well as horizontal
- More adjustments to tip turn in tube
