- Fixed issues with sfx and projectiles being spawned after enemy's death

Basault VR - Squid update patch #1

Hi,

Just a little patch that buffs the squid's HP a little, after more testing I really felt I needed to give the little guy a fighting chance.

Basault VR - Giant enemy squid update

Hi everyone!

These past few weeks I've been working hard on this new enemy type fore the game. This giant flying squid can navigate through level geometry to get a good angle to bite a static player but it will have difficulty catching up to players who keep moving. These new enemies will start spawning when the sky turns green and onward.

I've also fixed a few minor bugs while working on the squid but I haven't been documenting them. The biggest fixes are to the etheral pistol's and the P250's recoil, the direction of the bullet casings for the glock and tracking for the melee and etheral weapons achievements.

Thank you so much for playing the game, I hope you are all having a good time with it!

Basault VR - Patch #5

Heyo,

This patch is also pretty small, it's mostly there to apply some changes I made to the game while working on the demo build:

- I have tweaked the shoulder holsters to reduce interference with grappling. I kept accidentally grabbing a gun instead of deploying my cable and falling to my death, which is pretty frustrating. This should happen a lot less now;

- Atmosphere change in the last level: I found a bit of code I had written that changed the light and sky color to white on the end level that I forgot about. It didn't work but it looked pretty cool so I fixed it.

Other than that the demo should be releasing shortly! Next I'll be working on WMR support as the cable for the HMD I bought finally arrived, and other than that maybe you'll see a new enemy type in the game soon!

Hope you'll keep having fun!

Basault VR - Patch #4

Hi there,

Smaller patch today, I fixed a few issues mostly in preparation to make the demo build for the game. The main one you should know of is that I made the adjustments to the etheral spawner position more incremental, so if you aren't using the default settings on that you'll probably need to tweak it to your liking in game.

Other small changes are:

- Few changes to the tutorials;

- Made the crouch audio cue louder so people aren't confused to why they suddenly turned into a little goblin that scurries one foot above the floor.

That's pretty much it for now. Thank you for sticking with the game, it's already been a week since launch and I'm glad to have you all here :)

Basault VR - Patch #3

Hi people,

I have had multiple brain blasts today about ways to fix long lasting issues with the game and also found out that my "toggle" grip mode was half broken. So here's what changed today:

- Fixed an issue where you couldn't grab you gun's slide after it switched hands;

- Fixed an issue where you couldn't grab a gun when it is stacked on your other gun when dual wielding (It's still not perfect, sometimes the collisions don't want to cooperate and you grab the wrong gun instead but it's leagues better than not being able to grab it at all)

- Made it so the game's audio is playing even when the window is out of focus (if I find out how to wait for SteamVR to load before launching the game this will no longer be necessary but this patch will do until Steam support's response);

- Fixed MAJOR issues with the "toggle" grip mode. Now when you perform various actions that kick you out of you gripping something (i.e. launching yourself towards your grappling cable attach point), you will no longer have to grip twice to perform your next grip action;

- Fixed issue introduced in last patch where the finger guns were no longer grabbable (sorry about that!)

So that's it for today. I hope you'll keep having fun with the game, don't hesitate to contact me if you run into any more issues!

Basault VR - Patch #2

Heyo,

Here's a little patch for people who had issues with the controls. Hope this will fix most of your issues!

FIRST AND MOST IMPORTANT: Due to the overwhelming majority of you who had trouble grabbing the etheral guns, I have moved them FROM BEHIND THE HIPS to THE CENTER OF THE CHEST. Hopefully this will be more reliable for most of you as these guns are meant to be a "Oh shit I dropped my gun I need a backup" and not a "Let me bend down for 2 minutes trying to spawn that piece of shit"

Other changes include:

- The ability to grab a gun from the other hand without throwing it

- An indicator to where the grappling cable will land to help you aim them

- A tool in the settings to hide these indicators and to change the angle at which the grappling hook is deployed

- Set default turn controls from "OFF" to "30 Degrees"

- Fixed recoil issues with the first etheral pistols

Here are issues I am aware of that I am working on:

- You can't reliably grab a gun that is stacked on another. This is essential for dual wielding when reloading and I don't want throwing the gun in the air to catch it to be your only option (even though it IS pretty sick).

- When launching the game when Steam VR is not already launched you need to click on the game's window to get sound. Pretty minor issue, but also pretty annoying, I'll try my best to get it fixed soon.

- Sometimes when switching hands with a weapon the slide isn't responsive. This has always been an issue but it is more noticeable now that you can grab your weapon from one hand to another.

So yeah, pretty much it, if anything else is bothering you let me know, I want to make the experience as smooth and reliable for you folks.

Thank you and take care!

Basault VR - Patch #1

Hello,

Here's a quick patch that's mainly for Oculus players, for who the gun's angle don't feel quite right. I have added an option in the settings to adjust the gun pitch.
This was the most crucial fix I needed to implement as soon as I could. Next I will be working on grabbing guns reliably when they are too close to each other and menu buttons responsiveness.

Thank you all so much for being here, I hope you're having fun swinging and shooting!
