- Fixed issue in level 8 where entering the wrong door with a key could cause the player to lose that key. - Fixed issue where under certain circumstances, one of the enemies in the tutorial area of level 8 would become invincible. - Fixed issue where it was possible to go out of bounds in level 10 using an enemy to push you against the wall. - Fixed issue where the bull rush skill would stop immediately after starting if the player was very close to a block. - Fixed issue where bombs from Moonstar (boss) would damage the player even with the bubble shield was active. - Fixed issue in level 11 where it was possible to go out of bounds using a ladder with a block on top. - Fixed issue where boss of level 2 could go out of screen while dashing. - Improved camera movement and a platform length in the minecart section of level 5. - Fixed issue where falling crates in level 7 could get out of sync. - Fixed error in Japanese dialogue - Other minor fixes

Bat Boy now available on Steam!
X PLUS Games and Sonzai Games is super excited to announce that our 2D action-platformer Bat Boy is finally out and available on Steam!
We've been working this title for over two years and between the development, reaching our goal in the Kickstarter campaign (we still can't believe it!), industry events and all the awesome support from all of you out there, it has been an awesome experience to say the least!
We truly hope that all of you out there enjoy becoming Bat Boy and venturing into Stratoss to save your brainwashed friends from interdimensional mage Lord Vicious and his Trials of Darkness!
If you're looking for that retro, 8-bit platformer fix with some awesome action that lets you utilize a variety of skills picked up from numerous bosses, Bat Boy might just be the game for you!

Bat Boy is FULLY FUNDED on Kickstarter!
Hello everyone! Sorry for the delayed update, we've been a little overwhelmed, but for good reason.
As of Friday 12th of August 4pm JST, Bat Boy succeeded in it's funding on Kickstarter! We were struggling for a time, having only reached 64% funding with 72 hours to go. But we got that miracle in the end and everyone rallied behind us to fund the project to 109% in just under 3 days!
Admittedly we were NOT expecting this outcome. Over the course of most of the month, we were only ever increasing by 1 or 2% at a time and by day 26 or 27, we were at 64%. We were THIS close to calling it a loss, but then in the very last few moments, we got a massive surge of interest and funding for the campaign. We were also very VERY lucky to catch the attention of not only Jirard The Completionist but also Yacht Club Games, the creators of Shovel Knight themselves! With this, as well as some very generous high-tier backers, we skyrocketed up to the 100% funded goal and nudged past it to end the campaign at 109%! So, if you are a Kickstarter backer, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You helped us make this happen!

Our baby is growing up!
When we first started out with the game, Bat Boy was much more streamlined and minimalist in design, but as we engaged more with the project, both the characters and the world of Stratoss began to flourish. The project reached the point where we could either leave it small and have our fresh new ideas unfulfilled, or seek funding to make our aspirations for the fledgling project a reality. And so here we are!
With Kickstarter, we want to both leverage the platform to raise the funding for the project while growing our community and fanbase, offering you, our lovely supporters a more complete experience that we came to envision over time. As it's Kickstarter, we also really wanted to get in on creating some excellent merch for everyone so you too can share in the excitement we have for the project.
We hope you can join us on this adventure together! It's going to be an exciting time for us all! Lets crush that funding!
We have some VERY exciting news to share with you all today. We've been working very hard on this for the last 4 months or so. ⚾ Bat Boy is coming to Kickstarter on July 13th!⚾
What started out as a simple little platformer as a callback to the 8-bit days of gaming, has turned into something much bigger and more ambitious as ou team and vision for the project grew. It's a very exciting time when you can look at something you're making and see the greater potential, just waiting to be discovered.
And so it's because of that underlying potential that we decided to move things to Kickstarter. With that extra layer of support, we can really push the game to it's limits, explore new ideas and really flesh out the world.
But of course, it's not just about us. As with all Kickstarter projects, we want to make sure that you, the fans get something out of it too.
With that in mind, we're partnering up with the awesome folks at The Yetee to provide some first-rate physical and digital rewards. From the typical such as artbooks, soundtracks and t-shirts, to the more baseball themed foam fingers, baseball caps and jerseys! As a thank you for your continued support and apprecation for Bat Boy and its development, we are happy to announce that we have updated and released the Bat Boy Demo as a permanent fixture!
No longer do you have to wait until the next big event. You can jump in and play the demo to your hearts content, but now with:
Optimized performance
Improved visuals
Less bugs (phew!)
Improved and added SFX
Cleaner scene transitions
Added secrets (oooh!)
Improved boss encounters
Boss No. 2 has a second phase!
And other miscelaneous improvements
