Batora: Lost Haven
Deep dive into the soundtrack of Batora: Lost Haven
Hello Keeper of Balance!
After the journey to discover the tribes that populate the universe of Batora: Lost Haven it is time to find out more about the soundtrack of our next game, but also about the collaboration with the legendary composer Ron Fish.
We have always been focused on our main goal, which is to tell intense stories, with a very cinematic approach. That's why we have focused a lot of our efforts on creating the Batora: Lost Haven soundtrack. So when we started thinking about the soundtrack for the game we knew that what Batora needed was a poetic, deep atmosphere that could match the game's narrative and accompany players in this adventurous journey.
We needed to reach the best possible quality, thinking about our references and inspirations like the Lord of the Rings and Dune, the oniric world of Journey, but also the Ori franchise for its poetic atmosphere. We decided, so, to contact a highly experienced professional in the industry and we got in contact with Ron Fish, who composed the soundtrack of huge games like God of War and the Batman Arkham Series. Then, we started working together on Batora: Lost Haven!
Our subscribers had the opportunity to listen “Will of the Keeper”, an evocative track from the OST scored by Ron Fish, but the entire game offers to our players an evocative journey through the galaxy and through Avril's final mission.

Batora: Lost Haven July Dev Update
Hello Keeper of Balance!
We are getting closer and closer to the definitive release of Batora: Lost Haven (announced for this fall) and to allow you to have a new taste of the work we are carrying out we have decided to update our PC demo! Check out all the updates we have done for this new version of the Batora: Lost Haven demo.
Updates since the last Demo
Tutorial layout improvements Let's start by saying that we have improved the layout of the tutorials, so as to make it much more intuitive! A way to allow you to enter the world of Batora: Lost Haven in the best possible way.
Redesigned UI and GUI Along with the tutorial improvements you will find a new UI, redesigned to allow you to have an easier reading for all data, easier navigation and also an improvement of the shop screen, now more intuitive and with the data shown in a clearer way.
[In the first screen you can see the old UI, in the second one the new one]
Together with the UI, we also improved the GUI, with an easier to read lifebar and dynamic indications with the buttons on the screen: we have decided to show you only those that can be activated in the current mode, to optimize space on the screen.
A new Zoom system The aspect that we were most interested in improving, however, was related to the zoom in game. As many of you pointed out that it would be great to be able to zoom on the beautifully detailed environments, the view is now much closer to Avril and what is happening, allowing you to enjoy greater detail and proximity to the action. While maintaining the isometric view, therefore, we were able to find a solution that allows you to be more focused on the action. The new system allows you to adjust the camera choosing between two zoom modes.
[In the first screen you can see the zoom out system, then in the second one you can see the zoom in system]
New loading screens and balancing Along with the performance and visual effects improvements, we've added new artwork to the loading screens and fine-tuned the balance. To close, the combat system has improved basic attack combos thanks to more precise controls in the mental mode.

In our last lore blog we told you about the Yu Xuan tribe and more about the life on Huav. This time, we are going to tell you all about the Fleki tribe, that inhabit Mahzdam, one of the planets Avril will travel to during her journey in Batora: Lost Haven.
The Fleki tribe live on a gigantic ark which contains numerous houses dug into the ice, a large market on the foredeck and a large place of worship on the aft deck. Every inhabitant of the ark is obsessed with the idea of being able to "evaporate" and ascend to a higher life, and for this reason the ark's journey is always set towards the hottest places on the planet, following the cycle of the seasons. These journeys can last for months, and often the tribe of the ark orientates itself thanks to the Northern Lights or small meteors in the sky, which always seem to guide towards the light.
However, hardly anyone is aware that the Northern Lights are created by the souls of Huav's ascents after interrupting the cycle of reincarnation, and the meteors are nothing more than the stellar rains coming from Gryja.
The Fleki civilization is nomadic, and survives by hunting the primordials from the plane of Haf (ocean) thanks to large harpoons created from the fangs of the Rostungars (the walruses) and by collecting the primordial energies trapped inside the trees of Gler (the mirages). The second option is considered much more dangerous, as it requires the descent from the great ark, and for this reason it is carried out only by the most courageous and faithful to the law of the Trur (the faithful).
The societal structure of the Fleki does not include any kind of government, and is totally based on the concept of the higher good, in which each individual always fights for the group, and never for himself. Precisely for this reason the sense of camaraderie and belonging is extremely developed on the ark, and each inhabitant is a proud individual and ready to sacrifice for the good of their people.
The only "guide" that the people of the Fleki accept, excluding that of their captain, is linked to the great cycle of the vortex, since every inhabitant of the ark is aware that if he will drive out the evils of the abyss and will pray to heaven every day. one day it may become gas, thus deserving a rightful place among the Trur sages.
We hope you’ve enjoyed learning about the Fleki tribe of Mahzdam. We’ll be sharing more information about the world of Batora: Lost Haven as we head towards launch this fall.
In the meantime, don’t forget to add Batora: Lost Haven to your Steam Wishlist to keep up to date with news and behind-the-scenes content!
Creating partnerships in the video game industry is among our top priorities, along with creating outstanding products that can excel in entertaining players. For this we are proud to have been able to work with Razer, who provided us with their high performance Razer Blade laptops. Allowing us to enhance some of the features of Batora: Lost Haven, our next title coming out in the course of autumn 2022.
Thanks to the Razer Blade 15 and Razer Blade 17 laptops we managed to implement a tailor-made Razer Chroma RGB lighting system connected to what happens in-game, and express Batora’s chromatic symbology. In the era in which smart working is fully endorsed, we also had the opportunity to continue our development on the move thanks to the thin but powerful Razer laptops that offer very high performance and are able to give us the best possible support even in coding.
