Feats and Milestones Preview
Get the lead out, it's time to listen to Riff Radio!
How we doing, fellow Riff-ians? Thanks for tuning in to this Riff Radio News Update! We've got a couple of upcoming challenge systems to share with you today: Feats and Milestones
Feats
Feats are special challenges you can complete to earn extra credits, Backstage Pass XP, and even cosmetics. You have 3 active Feats at a time, pulled randomly from a large pool, and can refresh one of them every 24 hours. Completing and claiming the reward for a Feat will also refresh it. Feats will provide some extra challenge for players and get them to try new strategies in Tour and Royale!
Milestones
Milestones are similar to Feats, but work a little differently. Milestones will keep track of things players will mostly do passively, like playing certain types of cards or sharing energy, and reward them for it! Once you complete a Milestone, you'll be able to claim it for rewards and Prestige! After that, the Milestone will roll over to the same objective with a higher goal.
Prestige
Prestige is a new system in which players will receive a rank based on how many Milestones they've completed, providing irrefutable proof that you're a seasoned musician tearing up the mean streets of Riff City!
And that wraps up today's Riff Radio news update! What do you think about the Feats and Milestones systems? Getting any crazy ideas for Feats you wanna share yet? Pull on up to the Battle Bands Discord to give your thoughts and as always- thanks for listening!

Battle Bands Early Access Patch #20
Break off the knob, because you're listening to Riff Radio!
Thanks for tuning in, folks! Today we've got Early Access Patch #20 for you, which includes Tour Score, a score at the end of every Tour run based on a number of factors, such as Tour Amplifiers. Amplifiers are difficulty modifiers you can use to tweak Tour runs and lower or raise your Tour Score! On top of this there have been a number of balance changes and a few bug fixes.
New Features:
Tour Score!
At the end of every Tour you receive a score based on how far you made it, multiplied by your difficulty level! Every rocker gets a high score that is collected in the Compendium under the Rankings section. Compare your high score with the rest of the bands in Riff City!
(Tour Score rankings update every 15 minutes)
Difficulty Amplifiers!
On the band setup screen there are four different difficulty Amplifiers you can adjust to control how difficult your Tour will be.
Boss Strength: adjusts the starting Tour Level of each boss, making them much stronger throughout the run OR making them begin weaker to give you easier battles.
Upgrade Pips: changes how fast cards upgrade, giving you that quick boost or making each upgrade count for much more.
Boss Hype: increases your opponent's starting hype, giving them an edge. Alternatively, decrease the opponent starting hype to give yourself that edge!
Inflation: makes shops more or less expensive - depending on the kind of challenge you want.
We're pumped for you all to try out these new Amplifiers!

Battle Bands Early Access Patch #19
Hey hey hey, thanks for tuning in to Riff Radio!
Today we've got Early Access Patch #19 for ya, which adds the Grand Royale- special Royale tournaments that are scheduled throughout the week which offer extra Backstage Pass experience and Credits as rewards for the matches you win!
That's not all though, folks! "The Final Judgement" has also switched up their style a bit, focusing more on building hype and less on destroying all who dare challenge them! Go let them know what you think of their new direction!
New Features:
Grand Royale
Special Royale tournaments with extra rewards!
Schedule: May change as we learn more
General Changes:
"The Final Judgement" has been rebalanced to get more hype , more protection and do slightly less destruction.
Bassist Name Tag now moved to not get overlapped by cards in play.
"Protective" Upgrade for crew description more accurate.
In response to community feedback, we're moving away from in-game microtransactions for Credits. We have removed the 'Buy Credits' button from the in-game shop. At this time Credits will only be earnable through Grand Royales, Backstage Passes, and as a single first-time player bonus. Future updates will also allow players to earn Credits through a new challenge system. Down the road, we will look at adding cosmetic-only DLC options for players wanting to show additional support for Battle Bands. Moving forward, we intend to keep Credits obtainable only through various gameplay features.
In addition, we have back-updated Credits for existing players in the following ways: - All players have been given 150 Credits (the same as the first-time player bonus). - Any player who has chosen to purchase Credits in the past has been given a bonus of Credits equal to the amount they originally purchased.
And that wraps up today's Riff Radio news update! Before I let you get back to head-banging, be sure to join our Discord if you're looking for new band-mates to play with or want to give us some feedback. We love hearing from you punks, so don't be shy and as always- thanks for listening!
Roadmap, Tour Score and Difficulty Modifiers Preview
HELLL-OO! Welcome BACK to Riff Radio, Riff City's number one source for all the updates you need to get your band to the TOP of the charts!
The Roadmap
ALRIGHT, we've been getting lots of call-ins from you guys about this one- It's the Battle Bands Feature Roadmap! Now keep in mind that this is a living, BREATHING, ROCKING Roadmap, which means it's going to change as we add to it and possibly swap things around! Also, we'll be broadcasting plenty more specifics on EVERYTHING on this list in the coming months, so DON'T TOUCH THAT DIAL! (I'm serious) We're working on multiple things at any given time, so the actual order of released features will not always line up with the order they are listed on the Roadmap!
Tour Score
NEXT up we've got a brand new way to show your friends you're better than them, the Tour Score! Once the feature is in place, you'll receive a Tour Score at the end of each of your Tour runs which you can then compare against your own previous high score AND the high scores of every other band playing in town!
"BUT WHAT DETERMINES THIS FANCY NEW SCORE?", I hear you shouting into your van's radio. Well pipe down and we'll tell ya!
Your score is determined by a number of factors, like the amount of Matches you won, how much cash you saved, your band's morale and your final Tour Level. To really crank your score up, though, you'll need to tweak some Tour Amplifiers!
Tour Amplifiers
Tour Amplifiers are Tour Mode exclusive difficulty modifiers that can make your run easier or harder, lowering or raising a multiplier on your Tour Score. The four Amplifiers we'll be starting out with are:
Boss Strength - Determines the starting Tour Level for rival boss bands
Upgrade Pips - Determines how many times a card needs to be played to be upgraded
Boss Hype - Determines how much hype rival boss bands start with in each match
Inflation - Raises or lowers prices across Riff City
Down the line, we're planning on adding even more Tour Amplifiers for you guys to mess around with.
And that wraps up today's Riff Radio news update! Before I let you get back to head-banging, be sure to join our Discord if you're looking for new band-mates to play with or want to give us some feedback. We love hearing from you punks, so don't be shy and as always- thanks for listening!
