Update 1.611
This update addresses the recent shutdown of our previous account service provider, we have replaced the account system with a new provider and transferred over accounts saved from the old service to the new service. If you already had the game installed on your computer no action is necessary on your part, the account will automatically link to the new provider. If you are reinstalling the game, you can restore your account by clicking on your username in the main menu, pressing Recover Account and entering your email address used with your cloud cloud account.
- Save games are never stored online so those would not be recovered - Remember that you can always unlock all game features if you prefer to skip the progression system via the options in the main menu
The update also addresses issues with transports and changes the way transports are used in the game:
- Transports do not participate in battles but are still required to take certain territories - Transports can capture undefended territories by themselves - Transports cannot attack territories with enemy warships by themselves - Transports will be captured if they are not protected by warships, hence if you move warships onto a territory that only has enemy transports they will be captured and added to your fleet
There are also several bug fixes with campaigns and missing ships.
Account Service Migration
The player account service we are using for storing accounts in the cloud has been shutdown by the operator unfortunately. We are in the process of migrating to a new provider and will shortly release a new version of both Battle Fleet 2 and Battle Fleet: Ground Assault. This update will allow you to recover an old account if you reinstall the game or install it on a new computer. If you use the same computer the migration should be automatic and not require any action on your part. However as the current service has been deactivated your account progress will not be saved to the cloud until the update is released (it will still be saved locally on your computer, so it won't affect gameplay however if you delete the game before the update is released the progress will be lost).

Update 1.608 - VR Fix
We were finally able to fix up the issues with the VR version of Battle Fleet 2. Thank you everyone for your patience.
Update 1.6 - Immediately Unlock ALL Content, New Fog of War, Improved Controls, Better Graphics, Faster Load Times, and Community Discord!
<*> One-Click Unlock for ALL Game Content - We heard your feedback that too many of the game's features were locked by default. For veterans and players who want the full experience right away, you can now unlock all of the game’s content from the game's "Options" menu. We've also removed any unlocks requiring multiplayer gameplay.
<*> Gameplay Update: New Fog of War - We've updated the fog of war system to the one used in Battle Fleet: Ground Assault. This is a major change as you will no longer be able to see the opponent's hidden ships during their turn. This change affects all game modes, including multiplayer. Airfields and coastal artillery are always revealed as their positions are fixed and understood to be well know by scouting.
<*> Gameplay Update: Approximate Firing Locations - Approximate firing locations are now shown for any ships hidden in the fog of war.
<*> Controls Update: Improvements in VR Controls and Ship Stats Displays - In addition, holding the grip button will now move the world vertically.
<*> Controls Update: Added Snap Rotation in VR - Press left or right on your controller touchpad (Vive) and left or right on your joystick (Oculus Touch) to rotate the camera in fixed increments.
<*> Visuals Update: New Water - This is a higher quality water system that replaces the old water on higher end systems. VR gameplay does not support the new water at this time.
<*> Visuals Update: Added Rotation in Stats View - You can now rotate all the way around your ships when you visit the “Stats” pages of your ships.
Battle Fleet: Ground Assault builds upon the Battle Fleet series unique turn-based strategic and tactical gameplay, by focusing on land battles this time instead of naval campaigns, adding destructible environments, armor, shell types and a brand new single player campaign.

Battle Fleet: Ground Assault brings the series from naval battles to land based tank battles. You can select your battalion from 20 different tanks, each unique to one of the 3 playable factions United States, United Kingdom and Germany.
BFGA builds on Battle Fleet 2 with the following new features:
- Armour and shell types
- More advanced fog of war
- Destructible scenery, buildings, etc
- Unique tanks for each faction
Update 1.423 for VR
We have just released the 1.423 update to the PC version of the game to address a critical bug in VR that prevented you from ending a battle in some cases. This update is only for the PC version, not Mac.
Update 1.422 now live
A small update with bug fixes has been released and added back in missing support for 32 bit windows users. This update also fixes issues with multiplayer challenges and using multiplayer in VR.

IMPORTANT: We have moved our player database server to a new provider due to the sudden shutdown of our previous provider. Your existing account should transfer over automatically but if you experience any issues please contact our support team.

If you had an anonymous account (ie: "Sailor ######") you may not be able to restore the old account if your computer has changed it's unique ID or you are using a different computer than you originally registered with. If you have an account that you registered and setup a player name for, this process should just convert that old account.
