We meet again for the update of BattleCore Arena to version 0.3.2.2 !
In this update: technical changes, some gameplay changes, and even a more beautiful arena than before. Let's do this!
Upgrade to Unreal Engine 4.21.2
That's a big piece we have here. Until now, BattleCore Arena has been using version 4.13 of the Unreal Engine. The switch to 4.21 allows us to optimize the game's operation, reduce future development times, fix some recalcitrant bugs and improve graphics. Just that!
Graphic design
The Trinity Island arena has been significantly improved graphically! We hope you will enjoy it! ːsteamhappyː

The death zone on all the arenas of the game has also been redesigned.
Balancing
The shield no longer regenerates after a few seconds. It’s time to stop hiding, and get the shield bonuses instead!
The fire rate has been increased. It goes from 9 projectiles per second to 11 projectiles per second. Dynamism, for heaven's sake!
As a result, each projectile inflicts a little less damage to the shields and projects a little less far.
As an other result, artificial intelligences have also been recalibrated.
Slight change in gravity control: it no longer blocks rotation if you are in the air, making landings more fluid.
In-game interface
A visual effect is applied to your reticle when you succeed in hitting an enemy with one of your shots, for greater readability.
The target on the enemies within Blast's range has been redesigned.
In the scores, the "Regeneration" category was deleted, since it was no longer used.
New Core
A new core is available in this update: the barbed wire core.
Bug fixes
The camera no longer vibrates in play, as it sometimes did.
A few minor bugs, here and there.

Hello everyone!
As promised, we are accelerating the pace of updates a little bit ːsteamhappyː
BattleCore Arena 0.3.0.1 contains mainly nice finishes, but also a little more Core customization, and as always some bug fixes.
Gameplay
The connection to a current game has been reworked: now you will have a preview of the AI you are replacing, and after 3 seconds you will take its place. Thanks to this, no more unpleasant surprises by joining a game in progress ːsteamhappyː
At the beginning of the game and at each respawn, your Core is now invulnerable for 3 seconds (or until you shoot), to avoid being ejected too quickly, without understanding what’s happening
Artificial intelligences are now collecting shield bonuses, they won't be so easy to eject anymore!
You can change the crosshair in the center of the screen! A circle? A cross? As you wish!
Training
The training interface has been modified to give you more freedom
Workshop
4 new Cores are available in the workshop! Play to unlock them ːsteamhappyː
A new light is also available!
Musics
New musics are appearing in BattleCore Arena! Feel free to tell us what you think! A music player has appeared to give you the title of the current music, or to skip to the next one
Bug fixes
Connections and disconnections no longer cause problems in the new game mode

BattleCore Arena 0.3.0.0!
Hello everyone!
Today, we updated BattleCore Arena to its 0.3.0.0 version, which introduces a little rework of the game! Indeed, you'll notice that some mechanics has been redesign for your own sake ːsteamhappyː
A little preview of the important points: shield bonuses, something new in the game modes, a brand new interface and a taste of what's next!
Game modes
We say goodbye to the Juggernaut mode. From the feedbacks we received, it was the least popular game mode and we preferred to remove it from the game to focus on the main game mode (and the others that are coming in ːsteamhappyː)
Speaking of game mode, the classic 3v3 mode has been somewhat modified: it becomes the 3v3 Backups mode! Each team has 10 backup points, and reappearing after a death costs one backup point. When a team has no more backup points, it is impossible to reappear, and the remaining players are left alone in their team for a final rise in tension!
UI rework
The entire game interface has been redesigned and is now more pleasant and ergonomic, both in game and out game menus. We hope you will enjoy this new style!
Gameplay
Shield bonuses have appeared on both arenas! Collect them to instantly regenerate 30% of your shield!
The projectiles now hit the Core's shield, instead of the Core itself, so when you no longer have a shield, you are more difficult to hit. It doesn't seem like much, but it's a difference that you can feel.
We now see the other players through the walls, in addition to seeing their names.
You can now change the settings of your camera! Closer? Further away? FOV? It's your choice!
Little extras
It's daylight during the tutorial!
The emotes are animated!
The projectiles have a visual impact, and it looks good.
Lots of bug fixes!
Coming soon
2 new game modes: Free for All, and Backups 2v2v2! Details will be available in a few days on our social networks!
You will be able to replace the Blast by other skills, to diversify the gameplay!

As promised, today is the day of the BattleCore Arena's update!
A lot of new things here, summed up by categories.
Major additions
Artificial intelligences: no more empty games while waiting for other players! From now on, every game will be filled with our brand new AI, which adjust themselves to your skill level! However, be careful: the strongest ones could surprise you ːsteammockingː
New arena: a spaceship conducts strange experiments on cows from a far away planet, and you’ll be able to eject your opponents in a whole new decor! Enjoy!
Ranking system: play and win to climb the ladder and show your friends what you are capable of! Three different ranks are accessible: Bronze, Silver and Gold.
Lobby system: invite your friends to play with you, and enjoy the new finding games interface!
Training mode: test your skill in custom offline games!
The customization system has been enhanced with 5 new cores and 3 new armors! Also, you can now change your core's light animations too!
Addition of a new and more realistic sound management system.
Minor additions
The game will no longer have issues if you run it while not being connected to Steam, or even to the internet.ːsteamfacepalmː
The name of the killer will be displayed, throughout a kill.
The death camera is now turning around the arena, instead of staying stationary above it. Show some energy, for heaven's sake!
New loading screen, picturing the new arena.
Throughout your first BattleCore Arena's launch, the game will ask you if you want to begin the tutorial.
In the customization, you can see how to unlock items by hovering your mouse over them.
Addition of several UI sounds.
Fix of some texts and translations.
Billions of bug fixes (at least).
Technical and visual optimisations.
Game balancing
The juggernaut now has bigger projectiles, so it's easier for him to hit his opponent!
The blast cooldown of the juggernaut has been reduced.
The blast projects the enemies slightly upwards, to get them off the ground a little, in addition of the usual impulse.
It's no longer possible to catch up on Trinity Island mountain while falling (sorry ːsteamsadː).
When you respawn after a death, your core is now pointing the center of the arena, to help you getting your bearings. It's also much rarer to respawn near an other player.
The time to take part in a kill rose from 5 to 7.5 seconds.
The camera shakes are less violent.
On top of that, we have prepared for you a new trailer, to celebrate this update!

The update is finally coming!
Hello everyone!
After all the ups and downs, we are proud to announce you that the release of the BattleCore Arena's update will occur on July 17th, at around 6:00 am (PDT)! ːsteamhappyː
As you may know, this update will contain many new features, such as artificial intelligences, a new arena, a ranking system and a lobby system to play with your friends.
To go with this update, we have prepared for you a new trailer, which will be revealed the same day!

Hello everyone! ːsteamhappyː
After many months without any news, we come to you to tell you that no, BattleCore Arena isn't dead, quite the contrary!
Indeed, our team has been working for months on new features and new content, which should be available for testing, we hope, within a couple weeks.
This new update will include, among others :
- a new map,
- new cores,
- a party system, which will allow you to create teams up to 3 players before joining a server,
- an AI, with several levels, which will help filling the servers and will adapt itself to the players' levels,
- a training system, which will allow you to try out the maps and to train against an AI that suits your level,
- a ranking system, with 3 main levels (Bronze, Silver and Gold) and 4 subclasses,
- new armor appearances,
- a new and more ergonomic game launching interface,
- and also improvements and new features in the interface.
With this update, we've tried to answer the most urgent needs and your most important requests.
Finally, we can let you know that we're still actively working on a communications campaign in order to make our game more widely known.

The smileys key binding works great! You just have to configure it at the first launch
If you leave a Free Mode server, it won’t launch the game just after the arrival of another player anymore
Fake Enemies in the tutorial have the right amount of shield
