What is in the works and Roadmap
As you know, we are working hard to improve BattleStick, especially fixing bugs and improving servers scalability ATM.
In fact our traffic has been multiplied by 3 in few days. We expect the number of active players will be by multiplied by 5 next month.
That's why we need to do some adjustements and tweaks on the servers. ːsteamhappyː
Here is the hotest roadmap including the retained community suggestions :
- Improve servers scalability and fix lags, fixed in few days
- Personal stats if you are not in the leaderboard + possibility to look for another player by his last nickname used, available in few days
- Free coins : you will be able to get 50 free coins each 30 minutes , available in few days
- New skins, available in few days
- Team mode up to 16 players (which is now one of our top priorities) with a new map + gather people who have the same skill to prevent "newbies farming" by the most skilled players, available in few weeks
Some planned features
- Weapon skins : the short bow will have multiple skins and so on for other weapons, available in few weeks
- Clans system, you will be able to create a clan and play with your friends in team mode, further information soon available, available in few weeks
- Differents kind of mines (bombs) + new weapons, available the next months
- Possibility to invite your friends in private room if you share them a private link (for e.g very useful if you do a LAN)
- Siege weapons (catapult for e.g), available the next months
- New game modes, further information soon available, available the next months

Finally the leaderboard is here !
The first best 30 players of BattleStick are now displayed on the leaderboard with the following stats :
Rank, Last nickname, Kills, Deaths, Ratio, Playtime (hours), Top score (free for all mode), Level and XP.
A search textfield will be soon available so that yo have a look at your own stats if you are not in the top 30.
BattleStick is now available on Steam for Linux and Mac OSX platforms.

New server, more weapons ... ! Update
-> New high-performance server (USA/EU/ASIE compatible) you will have much less lag , to enjoy even more the game. He will be deployed in few hours.

* The golden crossbow. Very accurate and very powerful, but it has an important cooldown.
* The slipper : Does not smell good, does not have much range, but could be quickly thrown on your ennemies !
-> Automatic assignment of the Qwerty (WASD) keyboard and Azerty (ZQSD) according to the language of your web browser

Update and improvements 05/09/16

This game is not a P2W game: Skins don't give any advantage , it changes only the appearance (no life bonus, no damages bonus).
No weapon is stronger than another : They have the same DPS and it is quite possible to be the king with any weapon.
Nothing is random : Few players use mines and regeneration, it will allow you to win. This game is pure skill.

BattleStick released on steam and first feedbacks - thank you !
A year ago we just put a simple showcase of BattleStick on Steam Greenlight. BattleStick aimed to be a casual and a funny game where people would be able to enjoy a quarter of an hour of great fun with friends or alone.
In that way, we built BattleStick along with players along daily tests sessions. That helped us to see that some people really have interest in our game and it motivated us to go forward in order to build a strong community around this project.
Things accelerated and BattleStick was greenlighted. We were really flabbergasted. As an indie videogame development studio (1 developer, 1 gfx artist and 1 level designer), we already worked for years on other projects which were never greenlighted.
We took this opportunity and focused our efforts on BattleStick as much as we have free time, for one year.
BattleStick is now available for free on steam in an early stage. This is the first time we release a game on Steam. Please be straightforward. Do not hesitate to give us as more feedbacks as possible so that we would be able to improve our game. We are waiting for your feelings and ideas :)
Since this morning we had a lot of relevant feedbacks from the community and we want to take each of them in consideration.
* Let's talk about the spear. We already had some feedbacks that spear was a P2W item but it is not the case : Spear deals +/- 10% same DPS than other weapons. In fact while shooting 1 spear, an archer can shoot 2 arrows. We will display asap in the weapons menu the datas about damages, cooldown and projectile speed so that you will be able to have a fresh POV about the spear (and other items than can be purchased).
* The crown is not a premium item. It is given to the best alive player of the room (with the highest score).
* The servers are currently located in France. Some lags may occurs as we are upgrading our game servers, thank you for your patience.
THE NUMBER OF IN-GAME PLAYERS IS CURRENTLY LIMITED TO 30 PLAYERS. IT WILL BE INCREASED ASAP.
