Beach Bounce

BB Episode 2 Out Now

We are happy to announce that we have just released the second episode, as promised it is a free update for all owners of the game.

The episode 2 automatically continues from the save point that was referenced at the end of episode 1. Other save points however can be affected by this update, though we have tried to mitigate the issues it will cause.

In addition the soundtrack DLC has been updated with the new tracks from episode 2 as well.

Quantum Flux

The first game we ever created alongside developers Buko Studios 'Quantum Flux' is now available on Steam for PC and Mac (Linux coming soon)

http://store.steampowered.com/app/396610/
This is an old school style roguelike game of space exploration, you are the captain of a ship trying to save the human race by transporting the survivors of Earths destruction to a new home among the stars.

But can you survive the journey.

The game features random text events and live combat, collecable items, collectable crew members, all of which help increase your ability to survive the hostile universe.

Version 1.36

Hi all we just rolled out a tiny update for the game, about 1 byte in size.

It fixes a couple issues, most notably the fact that the patch available on ajtilley.com didnt work. Update your game to version 1.36, reapply the patch and then the extra content will work.

More details on the discussion hub.

Version 1.35 released

Version 1.35 has now been released this should fix all of the version 1.3 errors that came out, however there have a few scenes which were edited and reorganized in this build.

Therefore it is possible once you upgrade that your game could crash, if this happens it is not a bug, it is happening because the game no longer recognizes the point in the game you are at and cannot work out how to move forward or how to move back to a safe point.

We are sorry this has been necessary but we felt a few scenes were not up to scratch with the rest of the game.

If this rare error does happen to you, the only way to fix it is to either load an earlier save point or restart the game. I am sorry this is needed but it is for the best. Once you have reloaded earlier or restarted you should not see the error again.

Thanks for the patience with this correcting update.

Version 1.2 temporary rollback

Hi all, I am sorry we have temporarily rolled back Beach Bounce to version 1.2 on Steam. This is temporary as there is a bug that will cause a crash. It will only affect a small amount of people, but we dont like that it affects anyone.

Tomorrow we will release a version 1.35 with this issue also fixed, sorry for the annoyance this might cause anyone.

We decided to roll back as we think spelling mistakes and grammar may be annoying but game crashes are completely unacceptable. The rollback should resolve this until an updated patch can be released.

Thank you.

Version 1.3

We have now released version 1.3 of Beach Bounce, this adds more improvements to the game:.

- Better Sprite integration for the following scenes.
= Mineko post work
= Aiko post work
= Bad news in the morning.

- Additional dialogue changes have also been made in these same scenes.

N.b. Save Game Errors
Due to the amount of sprite code (over 2500 lines) that has been added to the scenes and also the removal of some dialogue options, it is possible that loading a saved game that is in one of these scenes could load with an error. If this is the case you may need to restart the game or revert to an earlier save point... This error is extremely rare and so unlikely to occur to the majority. All "End of episode saves" are not affected by these errors, and the changes made do not affect the overall storyline progression.

- Debug message: w1_d5_phase 0 or 1 was showing at the end of the work scene with Rei. This has been fixed.

- All reported grammar issues have been addressed.

- A new option for second playthroughs has been added which allows players to skip the introductory tour of the resort by Yuuki. Watching the credits or replaying the intro should activate this option on future playthroughs.

- Some code adjustments were made in preparation for the Friday patch release.

If any other bugs arise after this update, they can be reported in the Bug Report section of the community hub discussions area.

Uncensored Patch

We have had a lot of requests to make the Uncensored patch freely available to all, as we like to give our players what they want when possible we are happy to announce that the uncensored patch will be available this Friday onwards.

We promised to announce this as soon as we could confirm it so here we are.

More details will be available in the community hub, so head there for all the details on the patch, on Friday the community hub will be updated with the details on how to access the patch going forward.

Version 1.2

Version 1.2 has now been released.

This fixes a lot of the grammar and more importantly spelling mistakes. It also fixes the only bug that has been reported.

Looping text bug - The looping text that appears in certain situations has now been fixed, now when you start this scene it will work correctly from a new game, from certain save points it will loop once only now before continuing.

But spelling is the order of the day, and this patch should resolve at least 95% of it, but certain words may still be wrong but those will also be corrected soon as well.

Version 1.1

A small patch was added to the game today which will make patching and certain special patches easier to create in the future.

No real change to gameplay at this stage. The next patch is due early next week which will fix the reported spelling issues. Sorry about these I blame long days and nights of coding the game and our eyes and apparently spell checkers didn't do their jobs properly. please bare with it for a little longer and we will correct them asap.
