Welcome to patch 2.00! This new patch is headlined by the new map Beantown! It also comes with many new quality of life features such as pinging, dropping items/weapons, and more:
GAMEPLAY
- New map: Beantown is located in the middle of the desert. It is a small map with a lot of close quarter combat. Be ready to fight the moment you spawn in.
- New weapon: Riot Shield, a weapon that you can block bullets with, explosions with, and wack your opponents with.
- New Item: The smoke grenade is now a gas grenade which deals damage to anyone inside.
- Sight Adjustments: All weapons scopes now a give an accuracy bonus based on their zoom amount. The sniper scope zooms less and is easier to see through, making it much more usable. The Acog also got a slight reduction in zoom.
- Dropping weapons: You can now drop weapons and items.
- Ping System: Now by pressing the middle mouse button(unless changed) it will ping an area for you and your team. This can be done via minimap or from your player's POV.
- Four-wheeler: The four-wheeler has been reworked, it now handles and controls much better.
- Hit-marker: You will now see a black hit-marker when you hit a player with an item or explosion.
- Campout: The barn area has an extra house and more weapon spawns in the hay bale area to make it a better spawn.
- Team Spawns: Campout and Shipments team spawns have been slightly adjusted so teams don't spawn so close to each other.
- Swapping weapon: Now when you swap weapons it hides both weapons during the transaction time as opposed to before where it would swap and limit what you could do.

OTHER / BUG FIXES
- Weapon sway: Fixed bug where players with low sens would have a large amount of weapon sway causing it hard to aim.
- Christmas tree - Fixed issue with the Christmas tree skin glitching through things.
-UI BUG: Fixed bug where the UI would freak out in between rounds.
- End Zone: Fixed bug where the end zone would occasionally spawn outside the map.
- Blood: Blood no longer gets stuck on players causing it to float in the air.

BALANCE
Rocket Launcher - NERF
This should give more times for players to react to rockets. It also forces the person shooting to predict a little bit more.

COSMETICS
Skins: There are now three new holiday themed skins paired with two other community idea skins. This includes:
- Puggy in a tubby's Pug - Donut
- Snow bean - Top hat - Christmas Tree
OTHER / BUG FIXES
- Main menu: The main menu now has a new scene with holiday themed music.
- RL Bug: The rocket launcher will no longer occasionally explode the client shooting it.
- Customization Bug: The customization menu is now working correctly.

New to Bean Battles is the KAT. A semi-automatic assault rifle that excels at taking down enemies at medium range. Also included, tournament matches, chat commands, and more:
GAMEPLAY
- New Weapon: The KAT is a semi-automatic assault rifle that rewards a quick trigger finger. It excels at medium range.
- Chat Commands: Although muting players already existed in the game, its now more accessible through chat commands as well as other commands.
- Tournament Matches: A tournament match is a secure match that will not be displayed on the server list and is only accessible by a code. The match is by default set to competitive settings. This is to prepare for Bean Battle tournaments.
BALANCE
AK-47 - NERF
The AK was just too strong in every situation. This is a slight nerf to give some other guns the spotlight
Damage: 16->15
M16 - BUFF
Giving the m16 a slight buff to help it compete with its new counterpart in the KAT.
Damage: 12->13
COSMETICS

- Sever Changes: I'm currently working on changes to the servers and I'm making progress to making Bean Battles more protected against hackers. Tournament matches was the first step.

Update: Bean Battles v1.14
Hey Everyone!
Today's patch has big performance improvements, Whiteout should now be playable. Also includes Titles, 4k support, and more:
GAMEPLAY
- Performance improvements: Every map should run better. It should be very noticeable on Whiteout.
- Titles: Players can now equip titles, these can be achieved in various ways.
OTHER
- Bean Battles now supports 1440p and 4k, let me know if you have any issues!
- Hackers: I'm aware of the current issues and have set up some temporary fixes that should help. More will be done in future patches.

Community Skin: There are now two new community skins for twoextralarge, and MrBananaRL! If you submitted a community skin and didn't get selected don't worry. I may have not looked over yours yet.

Update: Bean Battles v1.13
Hey Everyone,
The main new addition to this patch is leaderboards! Now you can know how you stack up to other players! Level changes and more are also included:
OTHER
- Bean Battles now has leaderboards so you can see how you stack up vs the rest. Check them out in the Character section!
- Leveling: - Levels now continue to scale past lvl 25, but at a very small rate. The XP required to reach level 100 has around a 10% increase. So if you had just hit level 100, you will now be adjusted to level 90. Level cap at 100 has also been removed.
GAMEPLAY
- Aiming: Aiming should now feel smoother and bugs involving 144 hz monitors should be gone. Please let me know how it feels!
- Whiteout: Improvements to Whiteout have been made involving performance and other small features.
- Fixed bug where options would sometimes not apply in game.

Update: Bean Battles v1.11 (Whiteout)
Hey Everyone,
The new map Whiteout is now here! This patch also comes with improved jumping and a fix to those buggy trees on Campout:
GAMEPLAY
- Whiteout: New snowy map for large groups! Battle on a new map within frozen city in the middle of an arctic climate!
- Jumping should now feel more responsive and you can jump a little higher
- Fixed issues involving the trees on Campout, players now trying to glitch in the trees will be forced out
- Fixed bug that allowed you to kill your teammates with melee weapons
- Fixed bug where 4-wheelers would spawn facing the wrong direction

Update: Bean Battles v1.10
Hey Everyone,
Got a bit of a follow up patch to the last one with a lot of bug fixes and some new content:
GAMEPLAY
- Spectator: You can now select the option to have spectators in matches
- New options: Added the option of Hold ADS/Toggle ADS, and inverted mouse as well as changing the layout of the option menu a little
- Servers: The servers are now completely fixed and we shouldn't have issues anymore
- Added simple profanity filter for match names
- Fixed various bugs involving players getting stuck in objects
- Fixed bug involving the ghost skin causing the game to crash
- Fixed bug where teammate markers would get stuck on the screen
- Change the winning phrase from "last man standing" --> "last bean standing"

Update: Bean Battles v1.09
Hello Everyone,
Here's the breakdown for patch 1.09. The two main changes are to the max player count, and a new match feature for maps called Stages.
GAMEPLAY
- Stages: You are now able to change the current set of maps. Each round play in a different section of the map with different spawn points and boundaries.
- Games now support 16 players(currently a work in progress, if you have problems tell me in the discord)
- In game HUD changes to support stages/more players
- Small menu changes
- A few bug fixes

Update: Bean Battles v1.08
Hello Everyone,
I hope everyone is having a great new year! This patch is mainly focusing on balance and quality of life changes. I've already started working on a big new patch involving the current set of maps and a new one which will be coming soon! I will be a bit more detailed with my patch notes as requested:
BALANCE
Ranger-12 - Buff
This should help the Ranger compete at close range with the UZI and have some use beyond right in front of you.
Hip-fire spread: .09 -> .07
Zoomed spread: .04 -> .02
The rocket launcher ability to fire so fast makes it a bit too strong. I still want the RL to be strong as it has a low spawn rate by default, but it's current state was too much.
Fire rate .5 -> .75
R70 - Buff/Adjustment
Last patch the R70 got introduced and I must say I missed the mark. I've shifted it to more of a sniper so it has weaknesses at close range, but is very strong from a distance.
Damage 24 -> 34
Fire rate .3 -> .5
V Kick 4.5 -> 5
H Kick .5 -> 1
GAMEPLAY
- Chat Updated to look better with players who have long names
- Menu improvements focusing on readability
- New Menu Scene
