First and foremost; thank you for purchasing our game! We're excited about sharing our work (and learning experiences) with all of you. BeeFender is a labor of love. We're 3 friends who wanted to make a video game but had no experience. After a little over a year of development, we're finally ready to bring it to Steam!
So - in celebration of the release, lets hold a little contest. You'll notice that BeeFender has a built-in online leaderboard. Whoever can land the top score by April 13th, at 9PM EST will win a one-of-a-kind achievement that will be built custom by us, BWT Games.
Have fun and BeeFend!
Beta Battle Has Concluded
Hey Everyone,
The beta period has concluded, which means the contest has concluded as well. Congratulations to 'Zstan' who posted a score of 242500 and never looked back. 'Zstan' will be receiving a copy of the retail release of BeeFender on March 12th.
We'd like to thank everyone for the great feedback that's allowed us to push out two updates in this time alone. We look forward to hearing your continued feedback and we progress into the Early Access phase.
Thanks again!

Beta Update #2
Hey All - We're back at it again with another beta update! The feedback continues to roll in, and we wanted to let everyone know that we've been listening. This update includes:
- Tweaks to audio priorities to ensure sounds play properly.
- A reworking of the power-up random number generator to ensure the player experiences a more balanced feel each play-through.
- New particles for the Yellow and Blue power-ups because the last particles just didn't seem to fit the graphics style. People did seem to enjoy the Grey power-ups particles, so these new ones are a variation of that.
Enjoy, and please keep the feedback coming! March 12th is right around the corner. Almost time to BEEFEND!!!

Beta Update #1
Hi all! We've handed out a handful of beta keys, and the feedback we've been getting is unbelievable! We decided to dive into the game and make a few updates. This update includes:
- Adjustment to Spider random generation that stops Spider from appearing
while the player is still wrapped in her web from her previous appearance.
- New fonts for title screen, game screen, and leaderboard to replace development fonts.
- Gamepad compatibility. Players can now control their bee by using the classic twin-stick shooter setup. Left analog stick controls the player movement, while the right analog stick aims and shoots simultaneously. The right trigger will drop the bombs the player picks up, while the left trigger will deploy the drones.
The Beta Battle continues! So far, Zstan leads the competition with a score of 242,500! We have 10 days left! BeeFend!
(Manunkind2 and illbeinmyoffice are ineligible for the contest as they are developers of this title.)
Beta Battle!
For the first 2 weeks prior to release, ending on March 9th, 2018 at 10PM EST, whoever has appeared on the top scoring board in the number one spot will receive a free copy of the game on release day. Let's BeeFend!!
