July 22 Update

After receiving reports of misbehaving achievements we looked into it and managed to clean up a few minor bugs along the way. Thank you for your patience and your support!

Bugs



  • Character play time achievements should be working correctly in all game modes
  • Player slots in the multiplayer character selection screen should once again be open by default
  • Player names in the multiplayer character selection screen should once again be displayed correctly

May 19 Update

It took a bit longer than expected, but here it is - the latest patch! This one adds a number of game settings and possible player combinations.

Features



  • 2-player co-op setting added to campaign
  • Bots are now available in remote multiplayer
  • Round setting added to multiplayer


Changes



  • Campaign camera now keeps all characters in view, like in arena
  • Multiple new resolutions added to graphics settings


Bugs



  • Fixed remote multiplayer team setting replication
  • Multiplayer games should no longer be able to start with only one team

April 29 Update

It's time for another patch for Bell Ringer! This one addresses some of the combat problems and expands the campaign game mode a bit.

Features



  • Difficulty setting in campaign game mode
  • Achievements for campaign completion


Changes



  • Campaign monster spawn timings and locations have been adjusted
  • Basic attack knockback will now diminish with repetitive use
  • Increased hitbox sizes for more lenient collisions
  • Normalized size of blood effects
  • Gutrip is now armed to the tusks
  • Campaign respawn location should now be selected based on monster presence


Bugs



  • Special moves should no longer kill players in one hit
  • Character platform jump precision should now be the same as for bots
  • Characters should be less prone to losing their model in online games
  • Opening the ingame menu should now correctly pause the campaign
  • Player setup should now be correctly adjusted when entering the campaign start screen
  • Monster death animations should now have a more consistent play rate

April 22 Update

We have processed the latest feedback and deployed a patch with fixes for the most critical bugs, plus a little treat.

  • Campaign levels are now available in arena.


Bugs



  • Arena lobby chat should now display messages and scroll properly.
  • Fixed a bug that would cause player deaths to not be registered.
  • Fixed a bug that would crash the game when returning to the remote multiplayer screen.
  • Attempting to join an expired game should no longer lock the menu.

Single Player Mode Added!

We have now added a Single Player Mode with 5 levels to play through.

Known issues

* Low framerate in Chillwind Cavern
* Monsters sometimes get stuck navigating the levels
* Respawn location should be selected based on monster presence
* Pulsating monster behaviors (like Victus' Chaos Orb Nova) sometimes run at a double frequency
* Monsters should prefer melee attacks before ranged ones when in close quarters
* Opening the ingame menu doesn't pause the game correctly
* Certain texts are missing localization

March 22nd Update

We've recently deployed a patch to Bell Ringer which fixes some of the initial issues that have been discovered.

Fixed:



  • Players should no longer be locked out of remote games after hosting a game.
  • Player names should now be displayed correctly in the remote game lobby.
  • Player character selections should now be displayed correctly in the remote game lobby.
  • Bot settings should now be displayed correctly in the local game lobby.
  • If the two last players in a round die simultaneously the game should no longer soft-lock.
  • The "Back-button" should now be enabled in local level select screen.
  • The remote games list should now be automatically refreshed upon entering screen.
  • Start button in remote game lobby should no longer prompt clients to press buttons (as the server is the only one that can start a game).

Early Access Patch 25th February

We've recently deployed a patch for Bell Ringer:

Added


  • You can now select difficulty on bots.
  • Rebinding Keyboard and Mouse Button has been added, Gamepad rebinding will come in a future update.
  • Various sound updates and a new music track added.


Fixed


  • Less placeholder graphics in the Main Menu.
  • Icons behind the Player GUI in an arena fight is now different depending on which character you are playing.
