Development continues and we’re working on the next big update! For now, we won’t reveal all the changes and new content coming to the game, but we want to give you some first insights into the upcoming changes.
One major concern for the next update will be reducing the “grindiness” of certain game aspects to a minimum. We want you to spend less time on collecting and harvesting tons of resources, and more time on experimenting with recipes, exploring reefs and hunting for artifacts.
We went through a lot of posts, comments and gameplay footage to find out which parts of the game are interesting for players and identified some gameplay aspects that really seem to slow down the pace of the game. We came up with various possibilities to address those issues and are currently testing them.
Long story short…here are some of the changes that will be part of the next update:
Rebalancing material costs, recipes, spawn time
We rebalanced all material costs. In general, building structures like platforms, walls, ceilings etc. now consumes less resources. Building stations takes less planks and sticks, but slightly more advanced materials than before. Planks will no longer serve as fuel. Instead they can be converted to sticks, which for example can be used to fuel the barbecue bucket.
Stations can now be upgraded with items
Some stations, like the barbecue bucket, the distillery or the smeltery, can now be upgraded with items. This makes stations more versatile and you can adjust them to your needs. For example, adding a pan to the barbecue bucket unlocks a lot of new cooking recipes you can explore. Depending on their tier, stations now require one distinct fuel type to work.
Move already built objects with the hammer tool
In build mode, you can now move and reposition objects you already placed. This new feature lets you experiment more and saves a lot of resources. It does not apply to structures or heavy objects like the processing station.
That's it for now. More info and insights will be released soon.

New Update is live!
Hey there!
It took some time, but here it is! Take a deep breath and dive into Bermuda - Lost Survival’s all new underwater experience. This update ends what we consider the technical alpha phase, meaning all prototyping leftovers and placeholder assets are gone. The game is fully set up technically and from now on development will fully focus on game mechanics, balancing and extending content.
What’s in the update?
Reworked underwater scenery:
The new terrain features bigger reefs, which increase the playable area and add tunnels, caves and trenches to the game.
Reworked models, high-res textures and new vegetation shaders bring the scenery to life and add more visual depth.
Find points of interest and explore unique shipwrecks.
New shark AI and wildlife behavior:
Sharks now explore the reef, patrol their territory, get hungry and hunt for fish, they observe your behavior and can steal fish you just killed.
The tiger shark has been added to the game. Tiger sharks can become aggressive depending on the time of day and their hunger. They will act differently in various situations and depending on your actions.
Fish schools react to nearby predators. Watch their behavior to foresee hungry sharks in the area.
Navigation mechanics:
A new tool, the compass can be found in a treasure hunt. It will help you to determine your position, to find points of interest, sunken treasures or locations you marked with a buoy.
Build and use the map table to navigate between reefs. Explore new reefs and unlock detailed maps of areas you discovered. Positions marked on the map will automatically show up on you compass UI.
Place and name buoys, that will then show up on you compass UI and on the reefs detail map.
Treasures, Loot, Artifacts:
Points of interest and unique shipwrecks now contain treasure chests.
Find, collect and use different types of artifacts.
Sunken cargo, such as wooden boxes, containers or plastic bags now have a chance to randomly contain various resources or items.
Additions/changes:
Added new material: Plastic
Added new material: Clay
Added new tool: Compass
Added new artifact: Bounty Knife
Added new item: Bottle of Rum
Added new station: Map Table
Added multiple new artifact maps
Added seamines to the game

Progression Update
Hey there!
Take a deep breath and get ready for some shark encounter!
Today we proudly provide you with ingame footage showcasing the new shark ai, which is currently work in progress and will be one of the main features for the upcoming update.
Check it out:
The new shark ai in detail:
We love sharks. Therefore, we took a lot of time and effort to study their natural behavior and came up with a completely redesigned shark ai for Bermuda - Lost Survival. Our goal is to make the sharks act as natural as possible while keeping gameplay interactions interesting for players.
Most of the time sharks will patrol the reef and avoid contact. However, they will get hungry from time to time and start to seek for fish schools. When hunting for fish, sharks will no longer avoid you and can cause severe damage when bumping into you at full speed. Try not to get between them and their prey.
Also, sharks will notice blood in the water. When you spear a fish, there’s a good chance to draw the attention of nearby sharks. They will take advantage of fish you already killed for them, which makes hunting very tricky. Observe the behavior of fish schools to predict nearby predators.
In addition, the update will introduce a new species of shark. Tiger sharks will behave different from reef sharks. They will show more interest in you and in some situations, might even consider you prey. You'll find out about this when the update launches by the end of april. No spoilers here ;)
Progression Update
Hey there!
Development has been busy for the last months and the upcoming update is progressing just great!
We know communication was pretty much shut down for the last two months and like to apologize for that. We took our time to read and evaluate every single suggestion, comment and post within the Steam forum and used your input to come up with different concepts on how to evolve the game's underwater experience.
With the underwater update coming by the end of next month, the game will take a huge step forward in terms of visual quality, atmosphere and playtime!
Here are some first insights what is going to be part of the update:
New underwater terrain
The update will replace the whole underwater landscape with a more organic looking and diverse scenery. Get ready to explore different habitats, canyons, tunnels and hidden caves!
Enhanced vegetation
We rebuilt our vegetation shaders from sketch. The update will increase the density and level of detail of all the plants and corals and will make the scenery look more inhabited.
Reworked swim animations
New first person animations will replace the current placeholders with more dynamic and natural movements. Check out the above ingame footage to get a first impression of what we're going for!
More new features and insights will be announced very soon!
