This update adds a whole new "story mode" (which is actually just a fancy way of saying "easy difficulty setting") to the game.
It's for all the people who want to experience Beyond a Total Loss for the story/humor/sexy dialogues/stellar graphics/god knows what, but don't want the hassle of actually PLAYING THE GAME. Well, that's not entirely true. You still have suffer the gameplay to some extent and you can still die in all kinds of horrible ways, but staying alive & murdering your enemies will be a lot, a lot, a lot easier.
And that's it and that's all (except for a few superficial improvements).
April 2020 patch
This patch fixes the following things:
Not being able to pick something up when it's dropped in front of store owner
Game crashes to desktop when choosing "Nevermind" after asking Warden to retrieve item
Default clothing when upside down in meditation room
Character Customization Update
This update introduces the feature to dress up John Harry any way you want! Grow a full beard, put on an aviator hat, a pink cat shirt or some plain old regular glasses!
There's one caveat: you have to pay for your clothes/beards/hair/glasses/hats with booze. Yes, the same precious booze you also drink to get your health back.
So now it's a choice between survival and looking pretty.
This is all the stuff you can buy:
6 beards, moustaches and a clean shaven face
5 hairstyles (if you count a bald head as a hairstyle)
6 completely new clothes (although some may have been worn before)
2 never seen before glasses
4 hats (HATS!)

January 2020 patch
This small patch fixes two inventory related bugs:
One where you could move items outside of your inventory.
Another one where you could move the selector into the not yet unlocked inventory spaces.
December 2019 patch
This patch will fix the following things:
Lots of typos
The broken "No guns!" achievement
The broken "They're all dead!" achievement
The description of that same achievement to clarify the scientists need to die in the lab
A bottle of gin that was mislabeled as peach liqueur
The cave exit near the church that showed daylight in the night
Crashing the game when trying to access your inventory in a cut scene in the lab
The mention of your gun in dialogues after you refused the gun
The exploit in the roman numeral room
Going back from the controls tab in the menu making you unable to select anything
Thanks to Drєэm for bringing all this stuff to my attention!
And also thanks to myself for creating these problems. Good job!
November 2019 patch
Some stuff that was broken is now less broken or even NOT BROKEN AT ALL! How about that!
I also wanted to let you guys now that the person responsible for all these bugs and mistakes has been given a raise and has also been promoted, because I think imcompetence is severely underrated in todays society and should be rewarded at every opportunity.
Patch notes
Game doesn't crash anymore when returning to "desert" room
You're able to pick up items again after loading a quick save
You can't drop items on certain locations anymore, in order to prevent conflicts with trying to operate stuff like the computer, etc.
Dropped (base) cocktails don't turn into mugs anymore when you leave the room
Fixed broken running animation in cutscene in the old farm
Fixed cutscene sometimes not being triggered in cave where you find sewer key
Masks are visible again on ladders in the lab
Corrected quite a few typos and spelling mistakes
Other minor stuff
Halloween update
You can now buy Halloween masks in the new store in the village: a skull mask, a Frankenstein's monster mask, a pumpkin and a plain old regular sack! And the best part is you can pay with microtransactions booze!
Prologue and Performance Update
Another update! But what makes this update special? Let's see:
The prologue has been added as an extra to the main game*
A major performance update has been implemented, meaning performance has increased about two to three times
Minor bugfixing and stuff (not so special)
About the Prologue
In the prologue you play as Randy (the car mechanic who has disappeared in the main game). Randy has a bad dream, there is someone in his bedroom and on top of that they want him to make more moonshine. What a day!
* The prologue was already available as the demo, but seeing as you can't play the demo on Steam once you've bought the game it seemed like a good idea to add it to the main game. (Which somehow wasn't as easy as it sounds!) So there!
Patch 1.0.0.4: new achievements
Patch 1.0.0.4
Aside from fixing a few bugs and spelling mistakes, there are a few other changes of things that people suggested/requested, namely:
The addition of two achievements ("Now that's a workout!" and "Footsteps on the ceiling" - both for ordeals in the old hotel)
A few extra cues relating to the choices which will decide which ending you get
It is now possible to complete the meditation ordeal in the old hotel (initially it wasn't supposed to be solvable)
