a new Update for Beyond Enemy Lines 2 PC is now available! This new update is the first of many upcoming updates with the goal to revamp and improve the game. In this ongoing progress, we will try to fix remaining bugs, improve the gameplay and maybe even add new content. This is the very first update to lay the fundation of those changes. We upgraded from Unreal Engine 4.22 to 4.26 and with this needed to rework several parts of the game.

*RTX Support is realy an Alpha feature, maps are currently not optimized for RTX and Materials need addtional overhaul. We want to gather feedback on performance and will tweak the game step by step with upcoming updates. RTX is something new to us and we need to learn to master it.
What's coming next? We want to clean the code step by step and polish and streamline the player interactions and gunplay. We learned a lot sinze the development start of Beyond Enemy Lines 2 in 2017 and want to apply it to the game. This takes time and won't be completed within a week.
So when can we expect the next update? When it's done. We are focusing on a new project and updating the PC version of Beyond Enemy Lines 2 is a pure passion project which is done next to the new project. This unfurtunatly is the case as developing for PC is currently no viable option due to the bad marked conditions on Steam and we are not expecting to generate many sales with or without updates.
Whats about Beyond Enemy Lines 2 Online? In the progress of updating the engine, we needed to break the multiplayer part of Beyond Enemy Lines 2 as several used plugins dropped support and do no longer operate with the newest version of Unreal Engine 4. We are looking into fixing the new issues and get it interally running again. If we can achieve this in a reasonable time, BEL2 Online will get the same visual updates and possible gameplay and content updates again.
since the work on the Console version of Beyond Enemy Lines 2 has been finished, I started to port back some of the new features and improvements brought to the game by the console version.

Beyond Enemy Lines 2 Origins is looming around the corner, a 8 mission large expension featuring a remastered version of the original Beyond Enemy Lines campaign.

the last DLC of 2019 and the final DLC for the Warhead campaign offers a new intense singleplayer and large scale mission where you need to locate the warhead in Volkov's, by paramilitary soldiers guarded Stronghold.

A hotfix adressing the startup crash is now available!
Some of you experienced a crash on the games startup sequence. This error does only appear on a few systems and non of the development or QA systems where affected by this. But thanks to the awesome community we have a fix/workaround.
With the update of the Engine from 4.21 to 4.23 some time ago several core components of the game have changed. One of them was they key rebinding. Previously a Plugin was used to rebind keys which nolonger worked in Unreal Engine 4.23 and made the change the default Unreal Engine 4 key rebinding necessary. And this is what caused the issues.
For now it's not entirly clear which part of the key rebinding caused the issues (maybe an old config file interfering with the new system). Due to this key rebinding is currently unavailable to give me more time to investigate but restores the playability of the game for everyone.
