DevLog #10 | Spring Things Update (Controllers, Demo, Mac OS, Linux, etc)
Hey! Many important things happened in this update!
It is difficult to imagine a modern platformer without controller support, which is why you can now play Biba`s Adventures using your favorite gamepad.
Also, with this update the game is available for users of Mac OS and Linux platforms.
In addition, now it is not necessary to buy a game to try to play it. The absolutely free Demo version of the game is now available, but it has some limitations:
Demo version has only a small part of all levels in the game is available
In the Demo version in Runner mode - you can only go a short distance to try out the mode
Demo version couldn't support full save. Achievements and leaderboards do not work, do not worry, everything is available after purchasing the game

Many times i got a requests to add checkpoints into the game. At first, this was my idea, which was supposed to add complexity to the gameplay. But you have won. After watching some videos, I realized that not everyone wants to go through the game thoroughly, sometimes you just want to look at the main points in the game.

The green zone in the form of a circle is the zone in which you can activate the checkpoint by pressing the E button. But it will cost you your coins and you will not be able to pass the level of 3 stars:
After activating the checkpoint, the effect of the blast wave will be activated:
If there was no explosion effect, make sure you have enough coins and try to enter the zone again.
Also now chests disappear faster, this nuance is also not everyone liked:
An equally important addition, I advise you to re-pass the 1st level, if you do not understand how to jump on walls and ceilings, now educational elements have appeared on it that will help you learn:
The problem of switching to the level selection menu was fixed, the buttons were located so close that often the level began anew, instead of switching to the menu:
In this update there were many more small, but also important things, the character animation was completely rebuilt. This is not very noticeable, but now new opportunities have opened up for me to work with its appearance. Optimized a lot of mechanics, including significantly reworked character mechanics, and work with coins and chests.
