Okay this isn't exactly the type of things I like to share publicly, but it need to be told:
you "may" have noticed a "relative" silence from me.
I have been struggling with depression for a few years and the years 2018/2019 have been hard on a personnal level, so much that in march of 2019, I could not get to work on anything at all.
The game had to be put on hold, and trust me, it wasn't an easy decision to make. I won't go into more details, but I decided to take a break to re-build myself.
and now that I'm getting better, I will start working on it again.
So, what to expect?
in the near future?
not much for the actual video game.
it has been a year since I coded anything, so I must start by getting back into the flow.
but I do intend to start working again on it.
but why do I say "actual video game" ?
because Bifrost Project is also a table top roleplaying game.
Lore, rules, scenarios, etc, you can expect some work on that at least ^^
News
I'm sorry for the lack of news those months but while I'm still working on the game, it's has been a slow progress, between some personal problems and me, looking for a job (gotta pay those bills ^^" ).
But don't worry, this month, there will be a big update, on the menu:
- revamp of the blueprints for futur improvments
- revamp of the Building details UI, to give much needed informations
- add of the research (part 1) process, letting you upgrade the tech already unlocked
- add of the basic medical process and death management
I'll develop those points further in future news !

Delayed Update
Hello everyone !
I was supposed to make an new update this weekend, but sadly some serious bugs were discovered and I must solve them before posting anything new (because, eh, seriously, what's the point in adding things if you can't see them ? ^^" )
Expect an update in the next days that should correct those bugs and finally add the medical care in the base.
I'll keep you updated and thanks again for your support, it's really cool :)

For this first real update, I corrected some serious bugs that should make the game much more stable (complete changelog here) !
I also added the foundation of the next updates:
- Healing & Modules.
But what does that mean ?
Healing
Working for a secret society is not exactly an "healthy" thing to do (even when you are locked in a laboratory you can still be the one that other organisations try to kidnap) ^^
And during interventions shots can be fired, combats can broke up, people can be hurt, injured, or worse...
Happily, when the damages are not "too much" (aka when you don't die) you can also heal.
For now, only the "natural" healing is implemented, but the hospital update should come out this week end !
Modules
When you build something, the space used is sometime much more than what you really need, in others cases, a new technology allow you to build the same things in a much smaller scale.
But what to do with this empty space? Build a module of course!
The modules will be modifiers that you can add to any buildings and alter it's inner work.
For example, you could add a new turbine to this geothermal generator and produce more energy! Or maybe you will add a pharmacy to your clinic and allow the production of medicals supplies directly in the clinic?
The idea is to let YOU decide what's best for your gamestyle !

Gameplay:
- Added the possibility of a fight to happen during Interventions, it can result in the death of the employee.
- Also added: natural healing: given time, the employee can see their HP being restored, for more serious wound, a hospital will be needed (coming this weekend)
- I started to migrate the buildings to the new Module system, allowing more flexibility per building. It's not obvious yet since you can't add new modules, but it's planned for next week :)
- Improved the readability of the intervention's progress

- Corrected a bug where deleting all your save and clicking "load" was still loading a deleted file (so now it simply start a new game ^^)
- Added a help button on the new Intervention panel to help player navigate
- Added mouse support for the new intervention panel
- changed the key biding to the arrow keys
- Corrected a UI bug where the panel graphic was too short
- removed the artefact counter in the Resource bar since it's useless for now
- Corrected a bug where, sometime, the population display was not working
- Resized the text in the team name (on team creation)
- Resized the text in the dropdown to select a team for a new Intervention.
Demo Available - What next?

The demo is finally here !
Well, in theory, but since I have the main game, It seem I can't download the demo ^^"
Let me know in the discussion if there is a problem.
Remember that it's very much more like a draft than something with ton of gameplay, so if playing something starting is not your thing, pass on it and wait a few months ;)
On the duration of the demo, there should be around 15 min of gameplay if you do all the missions.

Well, for me, still work to do, on the video game for sure, but on an other project as well (more news soon :p ).
For you, I will set a thread on the discussions for bug report and game talk.
Also, I will start to present the univers and gameplay mechanisms in a more detailed fashion.

What's new?
I was hoping to be able to contact you all sooner, but being away for family reasons do not help ^^"
Anyway, after discussing things with various people I have come to realize that my first price was too much for what I offered.
Furthermore the automatic pricing by steam is doing an simple automatic translation in local currency, where I wanted that the price to be a little more adapted.
In place of already asking for the final price, I will offer to the early bakers a discounted price, letting the game at 50% of it's final price and the price will be increased alongside the game's content is implemented.
You already bought the game and would like to benefit from the new pricing?
First, let me thank you for the trust you place in me, but don't worry! you can still ask for a refund under normal steam limitations. If you want to support my work, you don't have anything to do.
well, it is still being reviewed by the steam services, I guess even valves employees take a few days off during the year's end ^^

Entering: Early access
Hello and welcome everyone on this first release of my game on Steam.
It has been a bumping ride with lows and highs, but it's finally here!
So? what to expect?
As stated in the "why early access" panel, there isn"t much actually in the game, BUT more will come in the coming months.
The current state is here to allow people to see if the general feeling satisfy them.
The two main keyword that will define the project are dedication and transparency.
Transparency because I am a gamer first and therefore I hate when a company give no informations on the current state of the game, the project, etc. I do intent to give as much informations as possible to let you know of what to expect.
Dedication also because this game is really dear to my heart and even if everything go south, I intend to finish it. No matter it will take.
Enough rambling for now ;)
Just after the holidays, I will set up a tool to allow you all to participate in the creation of this game!
