Since launch, we had to focus on game stability but now we are pleased to announce our first major content update!
Sandbox mode
Create custom Life or Death stages with a LOT of customization options. We have tried to give you as much control as possible to configure your sandboxes. Whether you want to simply pop a stage with no A.I and 500 Bio Points to inflict massive damage or create a very intricate Life scenario, the sandbox mode will enable you to do so.
This is also a first step towards the Steam Workshop integration that will enable you to save and share your sandboxes and have them played by the entire community. We think you will be impress with what you can achieve with this tool. Once we are finished working on the sandbox tool, we will complete the Steam Workshop integration, support booster and even more customization options. Be sure to let us know if you think we are missing out on something.
Unprotected Sex Roulette
It’s back! For those who played the original version of Bio Inc, you sure know what it is! Now this time is a little different and is controlled by purchasing (or not) the Nymphomania Risk Factor. Purchasing this item will drastically increase the odds of your victim to have unprotected sex relationships. You might catch nothing… or HIV… who knows!
More Easter eggs/hidden patients
I think it is safe to assume that everyone is aware of the Trump Easter that was included at launch. Well… we had some fun and added a bunch of new ones. We will not publicly advertise them here so it is up to you guys to find them! Happy Easter eggs hunt!
We sincerely hope you will enjoy the new content, let us know what you think here or in the discussions. We will now take a little time off and start working on the multiplayer and the Steam Workshop integration! Stay tuned!
Balance + Bugs v0.90.3
This week’s update is smaller but will fix a bunch of small issues that where left behind in the previous stability update. We also adjusted global game balance as well as adjusting specific stages that were too easy or too hard.
Overall, you should feel that the difficulty is slightly harder especially on “Medium”. We base our balance updates on Win/Lost ratio of the entire community for each stage. It is not rocket science and isn’t perfect so let us know how you feel about it.
List of changes:
-Fixed the All-In achievement where all any treated diseases would break the sequence
-Fixed the Recovery Head Start booster that was simply not working
-Added string of “Difficulty reward” in the end stage panel to make it clear that the amount of skull/life is related to you selected difficulty
-Fixed a major issue where some portion of the screen would become unclickable
-Fixed an issue where a tooltip would stay “stuck” to the mouse.
-Fixed an issue where double tapping the ESC button would break the settings panel
-Fixed multiple tutorial blocking glitches.
-Fixed a major bug where the clock/game would stop in the Death Race stage
-Global A.I buff
-Significant balance changes to stages Life Internship and Death Race
Hopefully, the game is now more stable than ever! We are working on the next major update for mid July!
Thank you all for your immense support. Your feedback and encouraging ratings/reviews are simply pushing us to work harder!
Some of you still had a few issues so we patched again on Friday June 23 with update 0.90.4.
-Fixed bug where some users would get Pink textures in U.I
-Fixed a bug where the game would not start at the beginning of a new stage
-Fixed a bug where some portion of the screen would become unclickable
-Fixed some localisation issues
Cheers! (with a Gin martini, of course!)
