Here are the latest update details for Black Desert Online on March 30, 2022 (Wed).
Items
As Black Desert has been on our adventure together with our Adventurers for a long time, there has been numerous items added into the world of Black Desert through the weekly updates. Therefore, this made it difficult for new Adventurers that are starting out to figure out what the items were for and whether or not they should it them or use them. So, we will strive to improve the item descriptions so that it is easier for new Adventurers to decide if they want to keep, collect, or use them.
● Improved the item descriptions of 316 items. It will clearly state how they can be obtained and what they are used for. - More items have their descriptions improved in future updates.
Black Stones, Memory Fragments, Hunter's Seals, Gold Bars, Node/Conquest War items, and many more items would naturally pile up in our Adventurer's Inventory and take up a significant amount of weight. However, this will be changed as 344 items had their weight reduced. We hope this will help our Adventurers take off on their adventures, lighter than before.
● Decreased the weights of Gold Bars, Seals, Black Stones, and other stackable items (a total of 344 items).
Quest & Knowledge
We increased the contribution EXP rewards for the regular quests in Balenos and Serendia. The regular quests are optional in the world of Black Desert, however, we felt that new Adventurers starting out and taking the time to explore the world should have enough points to rent storage and activate production nodes.
As announced during CalpheON Episode 2, the processing stones were combined. We searched for a way to combine these stones together as many of our Adventurers have requested this change. Now, Adventurers will be able to mass process a variety of items with a single processing stone. We are also currently working hard on developing the Life Inventory and Lightstone Inventory.
● Combined processing stones that were differentiated by types. - As the processing stones were combined, Shaking, Grinding, Chopping, Drying, Filtering, and Heating can be mass processed with one processing stone.
● Due to the consolidation of these items, the pre-existing processing stones will no longer be sold by the vendors. Instead, you will be able to purchase the new Loggia Processing Stone and Techthon Processing Stone from the same NPC vendors you purchased the pre-existing processing stones from. - Removed: Loggia Processing Stone - Lake, Vitality, Energy, Sun, Wind, Lava, and Techthon Processing Stone - Lake, Vitality, Energy, Sun, Wind, Lava - Added: Loggia Processing Stone, Techthon Processing Stone
As the processing stones were consolidated, the pre-existing processing stones that you had can either be used as an item or sold to NPC vendors for Silver. The pre-existing processing stones in your possession have all been replaced with "Sealed" processing stones. If you would like to use the processing stone as an item, then you can equip it after using it with Simple Alchemy (L). Otherwise, you can sell all the extra processing stones for Silver to NPC vendors at the highest price that they were being sold at on the Central Market across the world.
● The following changes were made to your pre-existing Manos, Techthon, Loggia Processing Stones you have in your possession: - All of your Processing Stones were removed from your possession and Sealed Processing Stones with the same enhancement level were sent to your Mailbox. (e.g.: +13 Manos Processing Stone - Lake → Sealed +13 Manos Processing Stone) - Sealed Processing Stones cannot be equipped. You can either sell them to vendors for silver or use Simple Alchemy (L) to make them into processing stones that can be equipped.
Mount
● Made the following improvements to the Mount Information window. - Improved to display the skills that are not yet learned by the mount. - Improved to display which courser skills the mount has learned or has yet to learn when mousing over the horse icon.

The Mountain of Eternal Winter
● The "Mountain of Eternal Winter (Everfrost)" is now available in the world of Black Desert.
Main Quests and Recurring Quests
● Newly created characters can now choose to start in either the Mountain of Eternal Winter or the Ancient Stone Chamber. - The "Select Starting Zone" UI will display upon pressing the "Create Character" button in the Character Creation window.
Weather and Effects
● The weather of the Mountain of Eternal Winter is always snowing. - Snowstorms will randomly occur throughout the region. * Be exposed to a snowstorm for too long, and you may catch the "Frostbite" debuff. - Snowstorms will occur with greater intensity at higher altitudes.
Monster Zones
● Added new monster zones to the Mountain of Eternal Winter region.
Murrowak's Labyrinth

Defeat the enough Murraskas, and their queen, Vercedes, will appear to take care of the insolent invaders herself.[/td] [/tr] [/table]
Jade Starlight Forest

There are structures bearing much power within the Jade Starlight Forest which were raised by the Okjinsini as protection. The Okjinsini stand guard over these structures, which are also used during battle. Destroying these structures will affect the Okjinsini standing guard nearby, enabling you to take them down more efficiently. The Okjinsini are also filled with powerful energies, which they will release explosively upon death, damaging any and everything nearby, even it be their own kind. Fight enough Okjinsini in the Jade Starlight Forest and you will encounter the [Dreadwinter Possessed]Okjinsini that were tainted by the [Dreadwinter Guardian] Erebjork.[/td] [/tr] [/table]
Winter Tree Fossils

Usually they'll be emitting a beautiful light, but those tainted with dark energies become Dreadwinter Tree Fossils that influence the winter spirits nearby. Defeat the tainted spirits so that their souls may cleanse the Dreadwinter Tree Fossil. You can change the difficulty by interacting with a Dreadwinter Tree Fossil, and use 100 Energy to make these tainted spirits spawn as well.[/td] [/tr] [/table]
Erethea's Limbo

To begin Erethea's Limbo, you require "Forgotten Witch's Tokens" scattered throughout the Everfrost region. Within Erethea's Limbo, "Erekhantus," beings imbued with mighty power by Erethea, will appear. Only those who overcome the trials of the maze-like chambers will be able to enter the "Golden Chamber."[/td] [/tr] [/table]
● You can obtain "Forgotten Witch's Token" in all monster zones at the Mountain of Eternal Winter. - Right-clicking on the item will take you to Erethea's Limbo and, with the item in your possession, you can proceed with the trial there. - The trial at Erethea's Limbo will end 60 minutes after it begins. - When you enter Erethea's Limbo with the "Forgotten Witch's Token" in your possession, symbols will appear on four gems. * The goal of Erethea's Limbo is to find all the chambers with the relevant symbols engraved on them and to overcome all the trials.
Erebjork, the Dreadwinter Guardian
Fight in the Jade Starlight Forest and Dreadwinter Tree Fossils, and you may find the [Wanewinter Guardian] Erebjork crossing your path. A stronger version of the [Wanewinter Guardian] Erebjork can also be found within snowstorms throughout Everfrost. Erebjork will appear with her own spirit, ready to face all Adventurers who dare set foot in the Mountain of Eternal Winter.
Labreska's Helmet
● Added the Labreska's Helmet item.
Crystals, Cooking, Alchemy, Processing, and Items
● Added the following items which can be obtained from the Mountain of Eternal Winter.
● Added Cooking and Elixir (Draught) items you can craft with items obtained from the Mountain of Eternal Winter region.
● Added items that can be crafted with materials obtained in the Mountain of Eternal Winter via Wood/Mineral Workbenches.
● Added the following Shai costume to be craftable via a Lv. 1 Costume Mill.
The Mountain of Eternal Winter Hunting
● Rumors of new hunting monsters being spotted in the Mountain of Eternal Winter region have spread among adventurers. ● Reduced the amount of "Marni's Unstable Fuel" required to copy an item by 50%. - Therefore, the formula for copying items was changed to the following:

Pre-Creation for the New Class Drakania Begins!
● Pre-creation for the new class, Drakania, is now open. - You can now pre-create and customize the new class, Drakania. - You can select either the Mountain of Eternal Winter region or the Ancient Stone Chamber to start your adventure in when you pre-create Drakania. - The UI from which you can select the region you want to start your adventure in will be displayed when you press the Create Character button on the Character Creation window. - You'll start your adventure in the Ancient Stone Chamber after maintenance on Apr 6, 2022 when you pre-create a character that is not Drakania. - With the addition of the new class, you can now increase up to 27 character slots with the Character Slot Expansion Coupon. ※ You will be able to expand up to 28 character slots after a future update. We will announce if we make plans to expand the max number of character slots beyond 28.
Season Server Pre-Creation Begins!
● Pre-creation in the new Season Server, "Season: Drakania" is now open. - Select "Season Character" in the character creation window to pre-create a season character for the "Season: Drakania" server.
"Masterpiece" Furniture and Titles for Treasures
● Added quests where Adventurers who've obtained the treasure-type items can obtain special furniture and titles as quest rewards. - You can accept "The Treasure's True Owner" quest pertaining to each of the treasures you have in your possession by showing them to Patrigio at Crow's Nest. - Upon completing a "The Treasure's True Owner" quest, you can obtain furniture shaped like the treasure and a title pertaining to the treasure. ※ You can meet Patrigio at Crow's Nest during Quests (O) -> Suggested -> [The Great Expedition] Crow's Nest consecutive quests.
● Added "Miss" to be displayed when your attacks miss so that you can more clearly recognize instance in which you miss attacks or successfully evade. - You can activate the settings for this feature by going to the Show/Hide tab of (New) Menu -> Setting (F10) -> Settings and set "Miss Effect."

● Renewed the Voice Chat feature so that you can use it more conveniently. - You can adjust Voice Chat settings or check out other Adventurers currently participating via the headset and mic icons () on the upper right of the in-game screen. - You can check the Voice Chat channel you're currently participating in or adjust Sound/Voice Settings from the Voice Chat UI. - You can check the list of Family names of other Adventurers who have entered the Voice Chat channel you're in from the bottom of the Voice Chat UI and adjust volumes respectively. - The Family names on the list of other Adventurers will be displayed so that you can see which Adventurer is talking. - You can switch channels (Guild / Red Battlefield - Valencia Street Battle) or adjust detailed Sound/Voice Settings via the cogwheel-shaped button on the Voice Chat UI. - You can use the Sticker UI feature on the Voice Chat UI. - The Family names or character names of other Adventurers in the same Voice Chat channel will momentarily be displayed when they talk when you have Voice Chat on.
● Added the Voice Chat channel, "[Red Battlefield] Valencia City" so that you can voice chat with your team members in Red Battlefield - Valencia City. - You can freely voice chat with your team members when you enter Red Battlefield - Valencia City without adjusting any settings.
● The 2021 Winter Season has come to a close. - All season characters that have not been converted will be automatically converted to normal characters. - Adventurers who have not completed either "[Season Server Graduation] At the Crossroad" or "[Season Server Graduation] Into the Big Wide World" will get Fughar's Letter of Encouragement and Gift Box Full of Memories in their mailbox (B). * The letter will be deleted at 23: 59 on Apr 29, 2022, so please read it before it gets deleted. - All season quests that have not been completed have been deleted. - Tuvala gear of the highest level per slot that hasn't been converted after maintenance on March 30, 2022 (Wed) will automatically be converted. - Tuvala enhancement materials, Tuvala conversion stones, unconverted Tuvala gear, and other seasonal items will be deleted. ※ Please refer to the [Notice] End of Winter Season for more details regarding Tuvala gear conversion and which items were deleted.

● Separated [Valkyrie, Nova] Venslar Gloves from the [Valkyrie, Nova] Venslar Armor. - Added [Valkyrie, Nova] Venslar Gloves to the outfit boxes that contain the [Valkyrie, Nova] Venslar Armor. * Adventurers who had the [Valkyrie, Nova] Venslar Armor in their possession will find the [Valkyrie, Nova] Venslar Gloves in their storage in Heidel. ● Increased the amount of Vell's Fine Powder obtainable from the Vell Reward Bundle. - 2 to 5 → 4 to 10 ● Added Alchemy recipes to make Vell's Fine Powder with an Alchemy Tool from your residence. (For Alchemy Professional 1 or higher)
