Announcing Ancient Frontier: Steel Shadows
Fair Weather Studios is proud to announce Ancient Frontier: Steel Shadows.
Continue the epic saga of Ancient Frontier in an all new campaign. Steel Shadows is a standalone RPG set in the epic universe of Ancient Frontier. Take command of a rag tag band of pirates and outlaws as you fight your way across the Frontier for treasure and glory. Delve into our latest turn based tactical RPG.
With over 20 new story missions, new ships to command and new missions there will be plenty for commanders to sink their teeth into. Steel shadows is set to be released in 2018.
Today we have a patch for Bladestar that adds additional Steam functionality. Most importantly we now support Steam Achievements. While the game has always had its own Achievement system that earns you XP to unlock Upgrades, many of you had expressed interest in these being official Steam Achievements as well. Now they have been integrated with Steam.
The changes include:
Added Steam Achievement support for the already existing in-game Achievements.
Steam Leaderboard added.
Added in-game link to the Steam Leaderboards from the "Extras" Menu.
Moved "Upgrades" to the Main Menu so that it was easier for players to find where to spend their XP.
Reduced the Bloom on World 3 to increase visibility.
Several very minor balance tweaks.
This should now be the final version of the game. We hope you enjoy the changes.

Leaderboards are Live!

The game has always tracked your own personal high score. But how do you rank against other players? Well now you can finally find out.
To celebrate the new year Bladestar now supports Steam Leaderboards. Now you can finally rate your highscore against everyone that has played since the leaderboard went live to start the new year of 2018.
You can also now link to the leaderboard from within the game. This is found under the "Extras" option on the main menu.

Ancient Frontier Official Launch Date Announced - September 21, 2017
We're very excited to announce that after two years of development our second title Ancient Frontier will launch on September 21, 2017.

This will be the second game launched by our small studio. We have learned a lot since the release of Bladestar, and we hope both new and returning fans will be pleased with our first turn based strategy rpg.
