While we be hard at work patching sails and sharpening cutlasses for the next big update in Blazing Sails, we’ve got some juicy word from across the seas to share with ye!
Two of our finest former Get Up Games crewmates, Frederic and Christophe, have charted a new course and started their own studio: Fancy Cat Interactive (a name that surely strikes fear into the hearts of landlubbers everywhere). These fine lads have been busy craftin’ a brand new game, and it goes by the name of…
Now this one ain't about swashbucklin’! This is a cartoony Multiplayer WWII shooter, where ye trade in yer flintlocks and cutlasses for flyin’ contraptions and thunderin’ wheel-cannons! It’s like Blazing Sails crash-landed in the 1940s, where a new world of battles awaits your grand entrance.
Same chaotic, action-packed multiplayer spirit ye know and love, but this time, it’s all boots on the ground (and occasionally in the air), with uniforms instead of peg legs.
Best news o’ all? You can join the free playtest right now and jump into the fray!
So if ye feel like tradin’ yer fish hat for a tin helmet, give it a go, and let the bullets fly!
Meanwhile, back on the high seas, we’re still chartin’ the course for some exciting updates in Blazing Sails. So, keep yer spyglasses aimed at the horizon… there's treasure to be had, and maybe a few surprises too.

Add spawn protection to character. By default the duration is 30 seconds. Can be stopped by actions such as: Firing a weapon, moving, interactions, repair, ...)

Balance Changes
Undead players can no longer interact with human ships their steering wheels
Revert pump upgrades applied to the Rise of the Undead Fleet gamemode. Silver steering wheels still apply
Human players now respawn with ammo in the Rise of the Undead Fleet game mode (50 bullets, 20 arrows, 5 cannon balls)
Increased direct hit damage for Fish launcher to 60 to better balance with the AOE changes
Increased Cutlass damage 20 -> 22
Increased Sword of the Sea damage 18 -> 20
Increased Pickaxe damage 32 -> 50
Reduce Pickaxe attack speed 0.7-> 0.45

The spookiest time of the year is upon us—Halloween be creepin' up like a ghost ship in the dead of night! And it be lookin’ like a host of wretched ghouls is coming to wreak havoc across the seven seas!
Special Halloween Game Mode: Rise of the Undead Fleet

For this year’s spooky season, we’re bringing you an exclusive, seasonal game mode! From today 'till November 14th, you can conquer the Rise of the Undead Fleet.
Undead Fleet can be played with up to 15 players. Twelve human pirates face off against three Undead. Each player has their own sloop, and the Undead aim to board and sink the human ships. Once a ship goes down, its crew turns and joins the Undead.
The Undead win if they sink all human ships!
While the Undead are trying to capsize their ships, Humans need to track down treasure chests scattered across the map. Once they find a chest, they need to deliver it to Mr. Bones. If the humans gather 5000 gold before the timer runs out, they'll seize victory!
That be soundin' excitin', right mateys? Along with the new game mode, we’ll be rolling out a bunch of patches, which you can read about right here.
So, pirates, beware the monsters lurking in the shadows, for All Hallows' Eve is nearly here. Get ready to sharpen yer cutlasses and prepare for a night o' fright!
