Minor Hotfix

Fixes:

- Fixed an issue where progress could be lost after a crash.
- Fixed a problem where the "Interact" action key couldn't be bound to modifier keybinds.
- Fixed the Vermillion Fields elevator resetting itself after a crash.
- The Vampirism perk now properly works with staff projectiles if no base leech crystals were previously applied.

Minor Hotfix

Changes:

- Updated the "Special Thanks" section under Credits.
- Tactician's Amulet (an amulet that removes i-frames) is now instead lootable from outside Konrad the Traitor's arena.
- The Amulet of Minor Vitality (+35 Max Health) can now be looted from the previous location.
- "Roll Only" is now the default option for roll type.
- Performing a heavy attack after a Perfect Block is now possible even if stamina is in the negative.

Fixes:

- Fixed an issue where Relocation was usable from Homunculi that hadn't previously been stabilized.
- Fixed an issue where the Resolution Scale would sometimes be set to 0, causing the game to appear pixelated. If this happened to you, please reset the slider back to 1.

Minor Hotfix

Changes:

- The camera distance slider now has a stronger effect on camera distance. Negative values can almost fully prevent the camera from distancing away from the player while running/sprinting.
- Added a special thanks section under credits.

Fixes:

- Fixed a typo in the Settings menu.

Breakthrough

Words can't describe our excitement to introduce you to the latest slew of improvements. This patch is a huge milestone for the dev team - it includes combat improvements such as a complete redesign of the parry system and charging heavy attacks which add crucial fluidity to combat, UI improvements and Controller Overhauls along with a huge amount of fixes, rebalances, and additional loot. Lore expansions and special Shaders have been introduced as well to enhance exploration and deliver a more intriguing than ever journey through the Omnistructure.



- New "Relocation" UI:
- Interacting with a homunculus now opens a new full-screen UI, allowing relocation to any previously visited homunculus.
- You can now rest at the current homunculus from this menu to respawn enemies and refill your health and flux.
- Each zone now has its own lore.

- Settings UI Overhaul:
- Settings have been reorganized into further categories and given a full-screen overview.
- Keybinds and button mappings are now easier to navigate.
- Added a lootable post-process that can be activated from the settings menu. These appear as red loot across all maps.
- Added several new loading screen tooltips.

- Inventory UI Overhaul:
- Newly obtained items are now marked with an icon until inspected by the player.
- Backpack and Equipment have been separated into their own tabs.
- Crafting materials are no longer inventory items but are now under a separate system. Access the Crafting UI for details.
- Reduced the number of crafting materials from 33 to 9.
- Removed videos from weapon ability inspections; they now switch display in the item overview.
- Two-handed weapons will now always be placed in the right hand in the UI and will also occupy the left-hand slot.
- Lore pages are no longer inventory items.
- Added a new "Data Logs" tab containing previously obtained lore pages and new logs with additional world lore.
- Current location and coordinates are now always visible from any menu in the Inventory UI.
- New Perk icons!
- Added 4 additional belt slots.
- Added another 4 belt slots for special items, which are set by the game and accessible by holding the interact action in both Type A and Type B setups:
- Mobius Blade: Use this to respawn.
- Scanner: Scan the surroundings to highlight certain interactables, display current objective markers, and uncover hidden secrets.
- Relocating Device: Use this to teleport to Blok6147.
- Homunculus Mirage and Homunculus Mirage Husk: Your personal checkpoint, previously accessed by holding the interact action.



- Handler UI Overhaul:
- The Handler now displays only currently equipped items by default.
- Equipped items now have an additional icon in the top left corner.
- Updated the "Tutorial" icon in the Handler UI.

- Controller and Keyboard New Button Mappings:
- Switching to this patch will reset your keybinds.
- Added an option to unbind the currently hovered action.
- Added a toggle to sprint option.
- Crouch is no longer necessary to progress on certain maps; unbinding it in favor of the sprint toggle is recommended.
- Removed all presets and replaced them with Type A and Type B mapping styles.
- Each mapping style has its own HUD. Selecting one changes the HUD outline.
- Type A Mapping Style:
- Uses a modifier button, allowing use of all 8 belt slots and all 4 abilities without scrolling.
- Quickly select the current arrow type while aiming with the bow.
- Type B Mapping Style:
- Cycles through items and abilities to select them, then press the dedicated button to use them.
- Holding each cycle action will now select the first item/ability in that selection.
- Quick Wheel has been moved under Type B mapping style.
- Quick Wheel no longer slows time but allows movement while active.
- With the bow equipped, heavy attack will now cycle arrows.
- Swimming and Climbing actions can be bound separately.
- Modifier Action is now limited to predetermined actions.

- Combat Adjustments:
- Removed parry and perfect parry.
- Introduced perfect block and counterattack.
- Some damage now passes through blocks (10%-25%, depending on weapon type and its mark).
- Stamina consumption remains unchanged.
- Yellow attacks still break guard.
- Perfect Block consumes half the stamina of a regular block and no damage passes through it.
- Perfect Block will interrupt most enemy attacks and stagger them (excluding yellow attacks and giant enemies).
- Bosses have different perfect block resistance:
- The number of perfect blocks required before a stun animation plays varies between bosses.
- Perfect Block will ignore all yellow attack damage.
- Red attacks cannot be blocked or perfect blocked.
- Shields have longer Perfect Block timings.
- Arrows and physical projectiles can be perfect blocked to reflect them back at the enemy.

- New Features:
- Introduced charged heavy attacks:
- Default damage is 125% of weapon damage.
- Fully charged heavy attacks perform 175% of weapon damage.
- After a Perfect Block, pressing heavy attack will perform an instant fully charged heavy attack with a guaranteed critical hit, consuming only 5 stamina and executable even with no stamina.
- New abilities for Longbow, Ratagan Saber, Evolved Staff, Mechanomad Staff, and Halberd.
- Several weapons and characters, including the protagonist and Konrad the Traitor, received updated models.
- Konrad the Traitor now has a new soundtrack and several VFX and SFX upgrades.
- Improved Nurgei the Blademaster's FX.
- Improved Nurgei the Blademaster's animations.
- Improved Plagued Nemesis animations.
- Three new enemy types across several maps.
- Several enemies received updated models.
- New medium armor set available in the monastery, with alternative pieces found elsewhere.
- Added a red glow to enemy attacks that cannot be blocked, requiring the player to avoid, jump over, or roll through them.
- Enemies now dissolve upon death.
- A new splash screen has been added.
- Photosensitivity and autosave warnings are now displayed at the game start.
- Metal Arrow Pack and Piercing Arrow Pack added:
- These consumables add 9 arrows directly to your quiver.

Balancing:

- Great weapons animations have been slightly sped up.
- Archangelos passives have been slightly nerfed.
- Added stronger windup animations to most faster enemies.
- Enemies can now parry the player only while in a blocking stance.
- Underwater enemies in the Deluge now have smaller health bars, allowing players to survive the encounter at lower levels.

Fixes:

- Fixed several enemies spawning in incorrect locations across the maps.
- Fixed giant red laser robots sometimes walking in circles in Upper Blocks.
- Fixed halberd showing damage numbers in reverse order.
- Fixed visual bug in the Handler UI where embedded crystals were not properly displayed.
- Fixed unequipped belt items being automatically re-added the next time they are looted.
- Fixed being unable to unaim with a staff while crouching.
- Fixed the player being stuck in aiming position if inventory was accessed without releasing aim.
- Fixed Homunculus Mirage sometimes being placed in walls or underground.
- Fixed level transition being triggered if jumping into an empty elevator shaft.
- Fixed "Continue" button remaining active after deleting all player saves.
- Fixed "Anomalous Collector" achievement not triggering beyond 8/12 progress.
- Fixed triggering both inventory and pause menu simultaneously if both buttons were pressed at the same time.
- Fixed "Bloodthirst" ability being marked as active.
- Fixed oxygen bar remaining on screen during recalibration sequences.
- Fixed sliding animations on the ground while rolling after being slammed by enemies.
- Inventory now properly auto-closes if the player receives any damage while in the inventory.
- Nurgei the Blademaster's thunderstorm no longer persists if he is killed while airborne.
- Fixed bows not bending while drawing.
- Fixed missing subtitles in certain cutscenes.
- Fixed a memory leak caused by quickly switching between backpack sorting options.

Minor Hotfix

Fixes:

- Fixed the "Loremaster" achievement triggering without finding all lore pages.
- Fixed the belt slot displaying "0" amount of belt items when switching the same item over multiple belt slots in quick succession.

Resurgence

This patch mainly focused on performance, and we received some reports of a significant increase in FPS from some of our AMD users.
For instance, certain zones that previously had 20-30 FPS now have a stable 60 FPS.

Changes:

- New starting gear for the player.
- Previous starting gear is no longer lootable.
- Replaced Ratagan-wielding enemies in the Monastery with a new enemy type.
- Replaced Restless Knights enemies in the Monastery and Blok6147 with a new enemy type.
- Replaced Pitchfork and Pickaxe-wielding enemies in Blok6147 with a new enemy type.
- Replaced Eviscerator Knights with a new Elite enemy.
- The Eviscerator is now a lootable item instead of a drop from Eviscerator Knights.
- The mini-boss in the Monastery now has its own arena and boss health bar.
- The mini-boss is now stationary.
- Added more secret loot across certain maps.
- Several maps received visual upgrades.
- Removed ragdoll animation from pushaway abilities (Monastery mini-boss, Konrad the Traitor, Robots, Machinarium Technomancer, etc.).
- A new animation is now played instead.
- The player will now play landing animations when falling from greater heights.
- These animations can be interrupted if the dodge input is pressed 0.4 seconds before hitting the ground.
- Pressing Heavy Attack while having a bow equipped will now cycle arrow types.
- Slightly adjusted default controller keybinds.
- All staves received new light, heavy, and sprinting attacks.
- The Evolved Staff got updated with a new mesh.
- Vermillion Knights received a visual upgrade.
- Removed Raw Input option as it caused more harm than good.
- Encumbrance value is now visible from the equipment window.
- Reduced the hitbox length of Robots with Axes.
- Removed collision from rocks in the Nurgei the Blademaster arena.
- Any camera input will now disable aim assist.
- Underleveled characters in NG+ now receive bonus XP until reaching the appropriate level for that NG+.

Balancing:

- Power Armor now only blocks direct damage dealt.
- Power Armor now gives a small amount of immunity frames to better handle rapid-fire enemies.
- Stagger Resistance increase is now based on Total Weight instead of Encumbrance.
- Encumbrance now has a threshold effect on stamina delay instead of a linear effect.
- Encumbrance now has a threshold effect on stamina recovery per second instead of a linear effect.
- Encumbrance no longer affects movement speed. The default movement speed has been set to the previous 80% of Encumbrance.
- Movement speed can still be affected by perks, buffs, or augments.
- Staff melee attacks now scale off the Intelligence attribute instead of the previous Strength.
- Staff melee attacks now deal Technomancy Damage and are affected by Technomancy Armor Rating and Technomancy Penetration.
- Halved the damage of Deluge Ranged Fishermen.

Fixes:

- Fixed Plagued Nemesis and Nurgei the Blademaster sometimes having slightly less wind-up than usual.
- Powerful Immune System Concoction now properly blocks all debuffs it's supposed to block.
- Fixed rotation being disabled if the Block input was held during the diving animation.
- Fixed the holster animation being slowed down if an attack was interrupted by said animation.
- Fixed the player sometimes being unable to walk off ledges if an attack was interrupted by a stagger.
- Fixed the delay before the next ability can be used after using the "Dash" ability.
- Fixed controller navigation detecting some hidden options while switching presets.
- Fixed pause menu closing on its own if the button is not released quickly enough on controllers.
- Fixed transition pop-up window auto-closing if sprint is held on the controller.
- Fixed controller input not working if alt-tabbed during preset selection on a new game.
- Fixed Quick Wheel selection with controller input.
- Fixed odd initial camera correction on controllers if rotation input was larger than 120 degrees.
- Removed camera correction triggering while aiming with staves.
- Aim assist on sentinels now properly aims at their chest.
- Fixed aim assit aiming at Silicon Visage feet.
- Agility now properly displays its effect on melee weapon attack speed.
- Fixed initial black screen lasting 30 seconds or longer on the first boot of the game after a patch.
- Fixed incorrect scrolling in the inventory when F1 (LB/L1) is used.
- Fixed the "Inventory" text moving around if there are not enough items in the inventory.
- Fixed enemies going into slow motion randomly.
- Fixed large enemies doing nothing after being stunned.
- Fixed random stutters caused by Giant enemies.
- Improved Technomancy projectile detection on lower FPS machines.
- Fixed the halberd-wielding Vermillion Knight in the desert not giving any XP.

Minor Hotfix

Fixes:

- Fixed a potential crash when fast traveling from Uranopolis to Monastery.
- Fixed an issue where changing gamepad presets wouldn't correctly assign the Sprint input to the Dodge hold input.
- Fixed an issue where it was possible to grab onto Wormlord as soon as its weak point was destroyed.

Balancing:

- Adjusted the maximum health of certain bosses in NG+.

Combat Refinement

Changes:

- Camera distance offset setting now also affects holstered camera.
- Added fading material to most props in the game, greatly assisting with camera clipping.
- New setting: Holster Type; Keyboard Default: Separate Input; Gamepad Default: Combined Input.
- While combined input is enabled, hold the switch weapon keybind to holster weapons.
- New setting: Parry Type; Keyboard Default: Separate Input; Gamepad Default: Combined Input.
- While combined input is enabled, press the block keybind to parry, hold to block.
- New setting: Mouse Aiming Sensitivity.
- Switch Shoulder Camera moved to Lock Target keybind.
- Changed icons for certain debuffs.
- Running Attacks.
- Fixed Tenderizer and Mechanical Tenderizer weapon holds and updated their moveset.
- Game now autosaves roughly every minute to prevent any potential progress loss during a crash.
- New mini boss in Ghost Town, requires Plagued Blood from Asylum to start the fight.
- Diminishing returns on experience removed from Final Zone.
- Added "Dual Wield" weapon sort in inventory.
- Pierce, Whiplash, and Heavy Strike received the same tracking as regular attacks.
- Turning in Handler Echoes in NG+ now gives Anomalous Fragments if the handler is already at max level.
- New item: Ring of Slumber; Prevents the wearer from obtaining any experience.
- Looted from Monastery.
- Smoothered and reduced the duration of aim assist.
- Controller Scheme: Simplified, renamed to Simplified Modifier.
- New Controller Scheme: Simplified; Fully avoids the modifier button.
- Removed healing potions from Restless in the Monastery.
- Added "Removes Invincibility Frames" warning on all Tacticians Amulets.
- Improved optimization during seamless travel.
- Improved weapon hitbox detection precision.

Balancing:

- Slightly edited unique helmets anomalous crystals.
- Duelist upgrade perk that removes the delay before stamina regeneration after a successful block now instead removes the penalty from stamina regen while blocking.
- Ring of Command now increases durations of all summons; Elementals, Illusions, and Reanimated Corpses, instead of the previous summons' cooldown reduction.
- Silence debuff no longer reduces the cast time of bosses but instead reduces their ability damage by 5% per stack.
- Reduced arrow speed of enemies by an additional 30%.
- Combo Points are now obtained by dealing damage with regular attacks and stack up to 15.
- Associated perks have been edited to better synergize with the new system.
- Combo System remains unchanged; only the acquisition of the points themselves has changed.
- Adjusted the damage of the Giant in the upper block.

Fixes:

- Fixed an issue where sometimes the character would be rotated incorrectly while on a ladder.
- Fixed a crash caused by switching to a previously removed weapon set.
- Fixed a low camera angle on bigger enemies during lock-on.
- Fixed constant fade on Uranopolis -> Ghost Town transition with seamless transitions on.
- Fixed FPS drops in inventory while quickly hovering over several armor pieces.
- Fixed Archinquisitors Sentinels sometimes not working properly.
- Chronoblade Timewarp now properly gets teleport along with Archinquisitors' phase change.
- Archinquisitors' clone no longer displays his debuffs on the boss health bar.
- Fixed Duelist second upgrade not restoring stamina on weapon switch.
- Fixed Asklepious projectiles not leeching flux.
- Pestilence no longer affects out-of-combat enemies.
- Pestilence properly applies extra debuffs.
- Increased the volume of Wormlords' sound effects.
- Fixed an issue where enemy AI breaks if a perfect parry was performed with Claymore or Tenderizer.
- Fixed high bash chance against bigger enemies.
- Fixed the incorrect duration of certain concoctions when the Tinkerer perk is active.
- Fixed an issue where the mouse cursor would be lost during the fast travel menu.
- Gamepad vibrations will no longer trigger if the last input was from the keyboard.
- Fixed an issue that caused roll backward to root character in place for 0.1 of a second.
