See you all in 2021!
PS. Just a short reminder for all of you - ongoing Winter Sale on Steam is the best and last chance to buy our games in 2020!
Autumn sale!
Hello!
Unfortunately, where is no news about Blood & Gold, but we will make you happy with a large discount and tell you about changes in our similar project "Feral Blue".
Revamped captain's log. Log was rewritten from the scratch and now you can use it. Finally.
Using log and its filters you will be able to:
Track damage to the ship.
Track crew changes.
Track resource usage.
Check cabin's maintenance.
Check quests progress.
Review other useful game events.
And since it is Autumn Sale on Steam we do invite you to take part in it and buy our games with decent discounts to support our work.
And last but not least - we made an announcement of the new game in 'Eador' series (our famous turn based strategy titles) - please check details at news page
Feral Blue
Hi everyone!
You may know that currently we're focusing our studio's efforts on a new project called Feral Blue. With this game we're trying to realize the ideas that couldn't make their way into Blood & Gold. For example, we were able to implement a more realistic ballistics for ship's guns and separate ship's hitbox into different zones - so that we could get away from situations when you do a chain shot and damage the sail regardless of whether you actually hit them.
Of course, there are many other differences and features - soon we'll add a quest system as well. So, given the chance, maybe check it out? We think the game could interest you (yes, for now the players weren't too keen on it, but we're used to improve our games in the long run).
We also wanted to mention that we're thinking of B&G too. There is no set plan of what can be added to the game yet (no resources as well) - but we keep this project in mind and keep reading your feedback and suggestions. Thanks for sticking with us!
Spanish language for The Zombiest Adventures
Hola!
It's Friday the 13th... A good day for forgotten horrors to return...
And it just so happens that last week we got contacted by Fernando Morán (aka Legionarius Argentum) who kindly offered his Spanish localization of the 'The Zombiest Adventures' DLC. Thank you a lot, Fernando!
So Spanish language is in now. However, if you're not familiar with it, it's a good occasion to revisit our spooky expansion all the same.
Have the zombiest weekend!

Feral Blue — Announcement!
Hi everyone!
Today we're very happy to announce our new project, currently in active development. This game is called Feral Blue.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Za9CFrmZ_2c
We've always been fond of sailing ships. Actually, there are about three things regarding games we're very passionate about: how to make our own version Heroes of Might & Magic 3, how to make our own version of "Pirates!" and how to finish our very own Fatherdale. These kinds of 'DIY engines' we worked with before can do miracles in some of the luckiest cases, but obviously that's not something we can say about ourselves. So it's a great thing that an indie team of two people can start making a game with Unreal Engine 4 (we still remember when it was a luxury for a very few).
Sailing ship is always about the freedom. You can't get the same unforgettable feeling of salty splashes getting to your face in Titanic or in a WW1 dreadnought. This is the basic emotion that we wanted to convey with Feral Blue — freedom and the sea. In addition, we are doing our best to introduce the concept we've been working on in our games for the past few years: going from controlling your crew to controlling your settlement and then — to controlling your empire. We want players not just upgrade their stats, but their level of responsibility. At the same time, when you're fed up with everything, you have the ability to get out of your office, gather your crew of veterans and set sail on a frigate, to cut the Maltese in boarding fights. Yes, it seems we have our first game, where the Maltese will be among the main factions.
We took a long time to figure out what the game will look and play like. First it was FTL — but we realized it's not something we want to go with (by the way, if you do want to play FTL about sailing ships — buy Abandon Ship). Of course, we took some ideas from our own Blood & Gold. Russian classics Sea Dogs is our current reference to naval battles (programmer's note: debatable).
In terms of the game's setting, we're taking inspiration from Waterworld (1995) and Master & Commander (2003) — sea, ships, sometimes very weird ones, naval battles in the fog. Also, we were greatly influenced by Snowpiercer (2013), with its idea of a state locked inside the train.
Feral Blue is a typical case of a game we'd like to play ourselves. But we hope it will be of interest not only to us, but you as well! For now, you can wishlist the game on Steam. See you there!
Zombies for Christmas!
Hi everyone,
We've been quiet for a while, we admit. But today we have some news about Blood & Gold.
First
We tried to improve the game's optimization. There are some positive results which will be included with today's update.
Second
The new update itself. It's fixing a number of smaller bugs (maybe you noticed them, maybe not). Besides, the update includes a new little story campaign!
Third
Invasion of the dead. We have a history with zombies in the Caribbean: we released Blood & Gold & Zombies update back in October and The Zombiest Adventures DLC. So we think going with zombies for third time will do just fine. After this — who knows? Maybe it's time we explore Japanese pirate ninjas.
We hope this update will help everyone ease into the upcoming pre-Christmas turmoil. We've distanced ourselves from this questionable and unnerving tradition a long time ago — of course, we're talking about thinking of new presents. What's there to think about? You need to gift either good videogames or socks with silly rabbits or some expensive candy. All of this your friend or relative will find useful, or useful for their kids, nephews and so on. Certainly better than that Bluetooth steamer you wanted to gift your aunt Natasha.
Speaking of present, Blood & Gold will be at 80% discount on Steam for the next few days as well. Don't miss out and happy holidays!
Spanish localization
Hi everyone,
Since today you have the option to immerse yourself deeper into the world of Blood & Gold and play the game in another beautiful language — Spanish!
Courtesy of Boalmo, one of our community members, the localization is now up and running in the main branch of the game.
Let us know if you find any problems!
The Zombiest Adventures live again! (feat. Summer Sale)
Hi everyone,
Since taking The Zombiest Adventures down from Steam, we received numerous e-mails from people asking us if they could still purchase it somehow. Obviously, the project wasn't everyone's cup of tea, but we thought to ourselves — why deny any possibility to try it out for those who really want it?
So like a proper zombie, the game just refused to die. As of today, The Zombiest Adventures will be available for purchase as a DLC for Blood & Gold — at a much lower price of $6,99, with a 10% (re)launch discount lasting for the next week!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdbGFVUWhko
Speaking of which, it's also time for the Steam Summer Sale! Blood and Gold will be discounted at 70% throughout the whole event. Buy lots of games, have fun and survive in the craziest zombie apocalypse, if that is indeed your thing.
