New Start option allows Bloodlust to run in DirectX11 (fixes flickering shadows or textures)

New Update Allows Shadows To Be Turned Off

Version 1.00291 Allows "Shadows" to be turned off in OPTIONS.

Some players mentioned flickering shadows with their system. Not sure why some video cards cause flickering shadows while others do not. But newest version allows players to turn off shadows in the options now.

New version 1.0029 contains a few fixes...


- ADDED text on map explaining some items can be found below/above
- ADDED hint when Ancient Sword is not set correctly

- FIXED floor plates and secret doors from giving XP
- FIXED tutorial hint from popping up on Fire restance over and over again
- FIXED "Moon Lenses" quest location on map and in journal
- FIXED Scavengers out of ground animation
- FIXED invisible hotspot in Warehouse from blocking Vampire Gaze
- FIXED ShadowSpawn from shooting without seeing player first

New version 1.028 contains a few updates...


- Added 1 Unique Ability per class

Warriors have the ability to find x2, x3 and x4 damage MELEE weapons
Criminals are less likely to be detected if enemy is not facing them
Witches can see though walls for ghostly items when using Secret Sight


- 1000 Strength given if decide to become emperor
- Decreased Scavengers hit points
- Added Shadow Spawn to East Ruins
- "Find Entrance to Mansion" quest gives 200xp
- Trap Damage Scales with players
- Fixed Warehouse Locked Door
- Stash in Hideout more noticable
- Marco drops 9mm and some UV Bullets
- Asylum Enemies are not as strong
- Added additional dialog choice for Nico's Quest


- Fixed various gaps in walls where Vampire Gaze could escape

Bloodlust Leaves Early Access (Version 1.0 Released)

It's been close to 5 Years in Development and Bloodlust is Officially released.


I want to thank everyone who helped find bugs and suggested improvements. Many fixes and improvements were made in EA such as...

- New Breed Added (Including new end-game content)
- More areas added
- More quests added
- New enemies added
- New Skills added
- New items added
- New weapons added
- Improved animations
- Improved AI
- Improved effects
- And many, many bug fixes


Even though its released...I will be making more updates if necessary.

Bloodlust after 5 months in Early Access

New update allows easier hotbar manipulation.

Apologize for all the daily updates. I know this can be frustrating and recommend setting Bloodlust to update only prior to starting game.

Most players probably are not finding any game breaking bugs... however some players are, and because it's extremely difficult to let gamebreaking bugs go weeks without fixing, these bugs need to be fixed immediately and that is the reason for so many updates.

(Once the game is released there will not be as many updates.)

After 4 years in development and 5 months in EA most of the content and enhancments are complete (What you see now is pretty much the completed game)- just looking for any last minute bugs and once satisified Bloodlust will release soon.

Bloodlust is actually 2 years overdue... and was never designed to be as big a project as it ended up being (it never does) ... It was originally designed to be a small 1 random dungeon game with 2 classes and a couple NPC's and somehow ended up being so much bigger. (there were a few things that didnt make it in that I really wanted... such as CO-OP more character customization, etc. - but because of the small scope of this production... it just cant be... perhaps in Bloodlust 2.. LOL!)

New end-game content - 4 Shadowhunter Skills Added

New end-game content has been added to newest version.

If you decide to destroy Ranior you obviously become mortal again and therefore you lose all of your vampire skills - However since you are really a Shadowhunter you naturally gain access to unique Shadowhunter Skills.

Shadowhunter breed specifics -

- Darker Skin with Glowing Blue Eyes
- Naturally resistant to Light, Fire, and Silver
- Very low thirst rate
- Only recieve 3 stat points during levelup (Slower Learners?)
- 4 Unique Shadowhunter skills
- Stronger Skills however unlike Vampires, Shadowhunters can be killed (can only be revived in the Tomb)


If you have an existing character that has already destroyed Ranior - go into the Secret Chamber location to turn into the new breed.

3 Months in Early Access - BloodLust Update 1.6.2.2B

Early Access has been great for finding bugs and adding some new content. Want to thank players for their help with finding bugs and suggestions for new features/content.

- Secret Sight level 3+ allows you to see in dark without flashlight ("Night Sight")

Full green screen effect of Secret sight has been changed to a green border only. It also does not require any particular Rep to level up. (This was done so "night sight" can be turned on and off... since the effect washes out the ambient lighting of all locations and ruins the subtle experience so needs to be more of a temporary effect - Night Sight is always active in dungeon areas without secret sight)

- Fixed unlimted keycards from desk clerk
- Fixed wrong notes showing code at bottom
- Adjusted jump delay timer to be shorter
- Farok cannot be killed
- Sarx no longer randomly teleports as much when fighting
- Paco should no longer be found inside collumn (???)
- Fixed flashlight slot text from reading "Weapon"
- Fixed some areas in Courtyard and North Sewers
- Add 2 girls to couches
