The "Spirit Path"

Hey all, let's dive into a recent addition I've been working on.... the "spirit path".

This is essentially a path you can progress down allowing you to use "the bridge" more than simply seeing information about creatures.... culminating in some fairly powerful abilities. I'll be adding more features to this "extra layer" down the road. But this is a pretty good start!

Essentially you can use this additional layer to collect "bridge spirits" and slowly grow more accustomed to the bridge. While at first it staying in the bridge is extremely dangerous, as you grow in this path you will find it begins to heal you... and eventually even allow you to travel within in.

Hey everyone, I've finished the first trailer this weekend! I'll likely be making more down the road (focusing on some of the unique aspects of the game; such as abilities or creature senses / emotions). But this is a good start!

Dark Path and Wishlists - (Game Dev Updates)

Hey everyone! Time for another dev update.

This time talking about some of the "behind the scenes" stuff like wishlists and page views, and also about the "dark path" the player can take as I did some of those abilities this last week or so.

Then, I finally got the enemy robots to really start feeling like their own threatening group. Not even sure a forest golem could take on a group of them.

Anyhow, feel free to give me your thoughts about everything (especially since it's all coming together right now). Back to work I go :)

A look back at the evolution of the UI (User Interface) elements.

Over the years I've done a lot of art for Bloom. From characters to environments....to all of the UI (such as icons and dialogue windows).

But they didn't start off as they are now. It was instead a long process as I kept working to try and improve.

Hey everyone, whew it has been a long journey to get this page up for Bloom.

As I finish up development, I've also been making videos going over current progress (things are moving pretty fast now as I get it all together)....and also some videos taking a look back at what I've gone through to make everything (the "Art of an Indie Game" videos).
