Our second patch is now available on Steam so please make sure to update your clients. Playstation and Microsoft players can expect the same patch to arrive next week, delayed slightly by the weekend interrupting the necessary testing and certification protocols.
Be advised, the following notes contain spoilers so browse at your own peril:
Added redundant video files of our cinematics compatible with more Steam Decks. This is the fix responsible for the increase in the game’s file size.
Fixed camera lock that occurred while reaccessing the lab machine on subsequent days after activating it / solving it.
Misc. typo and text format fixes.
Fixed major bug causing rarity and directory data to be read from previously accessed save files. This bug would cause rarity changes to inadvertently carry over between save files. This bug also potentially caused some uncommon and rare rooms to appear less frequently than they should have for some players.
LATE GAME SPOILER
Fixed softlock that occurred while accessing the blueprint menu or systems menu while SPOILER traveling by boat
Fixed hardlock that occurred while attempting to unlock a locked door found outside of the house with a basement key.
Fixed bug that would rarely cause only one item to appear in the TOOLSHED.
In a special room added by the drafting studio, C_s__o , the use of Coin Purse had been prevented. However, due to a bug, one machine was still able to exploit the use of this item. We are sorry to report this has been fixed and Coin Purse no longer works while playing games in this room.

Patch 1.01
Hello drafters,
The first Blue Prince patch has now been submitted across Steam, Xbox and Playstation platforms that fixes some issues that were reported by the community. Be forewarned, this changelog does contain minor spoilers:
Fixed the bug occasionally causing new game files to overwrite previous save files after a force quit.
Temporarily disabled options to Backup, Restore, or Duplicate Save Files while we investigate reported issues.
Fixed system issue causing some players to be unable to unlock a safe in SPOILER: SHELTER
Fixed bug causing BATTERY PACK to spawn less frequently than intended.
Tweaked odds of certain rare OUTER ROOMS being drawn while drafting.
Each platform has varying timescales for patches. We expect players on Steam and Playstation to have access to this patch later today with Xbox/Game Pass players gaining access by, at latest, tomorrow afternoon.
We want to thank you all for continuing to report any issues you experience in the game, helping us to investigate and implement fixes.
The first 24 hours of sharing Blue Prince with you all has been incredible. Thank you for your support of the game. After 8 years in development it’s wonderful to see people walking the halls, exploring the rooms and uncovering the secrets that Mount Holly holds.

You will find this house a very curious place to explore; an architectural canvas of shifting rooms, dead-ends, and cryptic corridors. It is a genre-defying adventure in a labyrinth of ever-changing expectations; and while we cannot hint at the journey ahead, we hope you eventually will come to make your own path.

February has been an exciting month for Blue Prince news with the announcement that the game will be coming to PS5 & PS+ Game Catalog, Xbox Series X|S, Windows & Game Pass. Followed by our huge news that the full game launches on April 10th!
In order to get the manor ready, the Mount Holly House Tour will be officially ending on March 10th.
It has been wonderful to see so many of you begin your explorations and we cordially invite anyone who has not yet visited Mount Holly to try the demo before the doors close on March 10th.

We have been promising more news about a launch date for what feels like forever, but now, we can reveal, at long last, that Blue Prince is coming to Steam, PS5 & PS+ Game Catalogue, Xbox Series X|S, Windows & Game Pass on April 10th 2025!
Counting today, that’s exactly 46 days until the gates of Mount Holly will be unlocked.
We announced the news at today’s ID@Xbox x IGN showcase with our brand new trailer.
We have said this a lot since we announced the game in March 2024 at Future Games Show but we are so grateful for the enthusiasm and support the community have shown for Blue Prince and for your patience as we worked to get everything ready for your adventure.
We really cannot wait for you all to get hands on with Blue Prince when it launches in April.

Blue Prince Release Window Announced

As you may have just seen as part of the PC Gamer Show Most Wanted 2024 showcase Blue Prince now has an official release window of Spring 2025! 🌷🌷
We’ll have more specifics around an exact date to share next year and we have a few exciting things happening between now and then that we can’t wait to tell you more about.👀
For example, make sure you check out the Day of the Devs broadcast on 11 December for some more Blue Prince hype.

We’re excited to share that the Blue Prince demo will be playable this weekend (25-27 October) at EGX in London. You can find us in the Rezzed Zone at the Raw Fury booth. If you’re going to be at EGX stop by the booth to begin your exploration of Mount Holly Estate.
But that’s not all! The Blue Prince Steam Demo is back and will be available between 25 October - 11 November 2024!!!
Please note, there have been no updates to the House Tour since the last steam demo, but If you have not taken the tour yet, now is the perfect chance to get a peek in Mount Holly’s mysterious rooms.
