March Update - Devlog

Hey Everyone,

This month we have been busy working away on our UI more specifically the Main Menu and the process of creating a room / joining and some minor tweaks here and there as we keep polishing the game as we go.

As a little sneak peak into the process here is our working main menu with a video at the bottom to show the flow we have been working on it should be noted that we are designing the game around full controller support personally we prefer the gamepad when playing and it just feels more natural and fun with others when playing on a gamepad you will however still be able to use a keyboard for the hardcore PC fans out there, all the images shown are using an Xbox Controller

When you launch the game you are welcomed by a giant sign with which you can use to get to either Local or Online play in this short slideshow we are going to go through the process of making a online game.

The world then spins around literally till you get to the sign post and in this case we chose to create a game here you can simply select how many slots / players you want open, it should be noted that regardless of how many slots you have open you are still able to launch the level with less players for example if you wanted to have 8 players but only 4 joined you could still start the game without having to go through the process again.

Once you have created your room we go to the character select screen this is where you choose your skin and the your colour which will be seen on the skin itself in game and in the portrait, after this screen you can see it beneath you are able to choose the level and start the game.

Our local menu is mostly the same but players are choosing their skins and colours at the same time and really only the first panel changes which you will notice is in a different place but also has 4 slots of people to join, much like online play this isnt a strict number of players you can start the game with 2 no problem.

For a small clip of it in action you can see it all here:

Aswell as all of this we have some new skins to show next month!
If you made it this far thankyou for bearing with us we hope you are just as excited to play it as we are to show it to everyone and play with everyone!

Its Blast Off!

Hello Everyone on Steam,

It is truly amazing that a game me and my partner have been working on for the past few years has finally got to the stage of having its own dedicated page on Steam and a huge thankyou to everyone who has already wish-listed, each one is a massive motivational boost and reminds us that there are people out there just as crazy as us who want to play this ːsteamhappyː

To show where its come from have a look at the progress so far

As this is our first post here on Steam it might be nice to explain Bombardier in more detail and the plans going forward of what you can expect to see announcement wise over the next couple of months.

Bombardier is a small arena based light-hearted action bombing game where the objective will be to either be the last one standing or some other specific gameplay mechanic like highest score after 1 min for example. Players use bombs that they place and kick at their opponents while avoiding other players at the same time, when it comes to weapons your imagination is the limit we have the infamous homing SharkZooka

to the dastardly deadly ClusterTruck 9000

and many more to come!

In the following weeks and months leading up to a kickstarter campaign we will be showing off bi-weekly updates on the game this could range from UI updates to levels basically we are always busy playing and testing our own game wanting to get the very best experience we can provide, and we want to show this to everyone and hopefully you will love seeing these changes too.
