August 26th Demo Version Update


Hi,
We are Leaf Boat Studio. The content for Early Access is almost ready, but there is still a little more we need to add. Please wait a little longer! We plan to include a new tutorial for new features and make improvements for the following update. Then everyone will get to experience Born of Fire Early Access!
Patch notes:

+ Added “Camp” to Tower mode for the heroes to rest, restore their health, and talk with each other. Most of the heroes have exclusive camp events.

+ New creatures: Succubus, Savage Troll, and Elf Ranger

+ New spells: Whirlwind, Change Positions, and Polymorph

+ Adjusted the rarity of every class’s spell cards and their values.
+ Added a Notice page for players to view the most recently updated content.

+ Improved part of the creature AI. Now their battle style will be more obvious.
+ Pub and Camp events will display pictures of the corresponding creatures.
+ Revised the Tower mode, improved the tower map, and potion operations.

+ The price of shop items added random intervals of 10%.
+ Added some of the target estimations for skills. For example, Stun won’t work on Boss again.
+ Added a sorting feature to the Deck page. You can sort by rarity, mana, attack, and health.

+ The color for the name of a spell card will be based on their class. Commander: red, Mage: blue, and common cards: white.
+ Fixed many errors

August 16th Demo Version Patch Notes


Hi,
We are Leaf Boat Studio. This is the third update for Born of Fire. There is a lot of new content that has been added!

Patch notes:
+ New creatures: Scout and Dwarf Rifleman

+ New spells: Amnesia Spell, Armor Slam, Rend, Barbed Arrow, Nether Arrow, and Meditation.
+ Added 3 songs. You can listen to them on the main menu, deck page, and tower mode.
+ You can turn the music/sound on and off in the settings. The ability to adjust the volume will be added on later.

+ New Tower mode Bosses: Shaman, Dragon, and Chimera.

+ Added Shop to Tower mode.
+ Added lots of normal and elite squads.
+ Added more Tower mode events.
+ Added a sign-in system. Remind to sign-in daily.
+ Improved lots of special effects and sound effects.
+ Various minor adjustments and improvements.

August 6th Demo Patch Notes

Hi,

We are Leaf Boat Studio. Today is the second time we are updating the Born of Fire demo version. We have added and fixed a lot of things just like last week! In order to begin early access in early September, we will be making a lot of bigger changes and adding completely new features to the game starting from this week. Unfortunately, this means we won’t update the game next week. We want to apologize to everyone for the delay.

This week’s patch notes:
+ Supports Traditional Chinese
+ Added the epic creature: Ancient Guardian

+ Remade the hero deck interface.
+ The chest button on the main page will display a red dot when there is an unopened chest.
+ Can view the deck, discarded cards, exhausted and counter cards info during battle.
+ Tower mode added the harmless sheep:

+ Added settings button to tower mode battle.
+ Improved the process and presentation of the pray at the beginning of tower mode.
+ Display the changes of a hero after being upgraded.
+ Remade effects presentation of many creatures and spells.
+ Changed the pictures on some cards.
+ Added privilege effects to epic rank or higher creatures.
+ Fixed many errors and problems.

July 30th Demo Version Patch Notes


Hi,
We are Leaf Boat Studio. Today is the first time we will update the Born of Fire demo version. We have localized the game into Simplified Chinese! Also, we have fixed many problems in the game. Thanks to everyone for your support and help!

This week’s patch notes:
+ Supports Simplified Chinese (Traditional Chinese will be coming soon.)
+ Mage class has a new card: Heal
+ Tower mode added: Heal Potion and Rebirth Potion
+ Reduced the tower mode’s difficulty
+ Added an easy mode tower to get even more chests!
+ Adjusted movement order. Now the hero has to move in front of the monster on the first turn.
+ Adjusted the position of the end turn button.
+ The name of the chest now appears when you get it.
+ Added more spell effects.

Fixes:
+ Fixed the not restoring the hero’s health problem at the start of the next stage.
+ Fixed the errors with dodge, combo, and other spell effects.
+ Fixed the soft locking error in certain instances.
+ Optimized and revised some small problems.

Plans for next week’s update (if possible):
+ Add 4 new songs.
+ Smoother battle operations.
+ New creature and spell cards.
+ Fix and optimize bugs.

Although this is just the demo version, we plan to update the game every week. We want everyone to have a chance to play our game and leave your valuable suggestions about the game on our community page. We will work our hardest to make the game better.

Born of Fire Free Trial Version Is Available!

We are Leaf Boat Studio. We are excited to announce that our first game Born of Fire’s free trial version is now available!

Born of Fire fuses the gameplay of Roguelike and deck-building games. In the trial version, you can play a basic version of the tower mode. When you clear a floor, you can choose a card to “take with you” and place it in your deck. Also, you will get chests. When you open the chests, you will get completely new cards.

You can build a deck from the cards you collect and then you can battle other players! You will get chests if you win or lose to get even more cards. When you get multiples of a card, it will transform into experience to upgrade the card’s level and make the card even stronger. Then when you get this card again in tower mode, it will be at its upgraded level. Your journey through the tower will be smoother by continuing to upgrade cards.

You can experience everything described above in the free trial version. In the next few weeks, we plan to add even more content:

Feedback & Progress


Over the past few weeks, we have received player feedback that is incredibly useful. One player made a gameplay walkthrough that provided a fascinating insight as to what they think is good and what needs to be improved. As game developers, we want to encourage more people to take part in the development process. There is always the risk of being too isolated, focusing on certain details and missing out on something that is obvious to you. If you want to help us even more, you can play the alpha test version here.
In addition to making adjustments based feedback, we have been busy adding more gameplay. For the next test version, we plan to add the tower mode, which will bring us closer to realizing our vision. It is taking slightly longer than we would like, but we want to ensure that the next version doesn’t have any bugs instead of just rushing to make an update. Also, we have slowly been expanding our team to help us develop the game.

Goals


Our new studio has been developing our first game Born of Fire since February of this year. We have finally got a working version of the game up for players to test out and hopefully gave us feedback, so we can improve the game. Please forgive us for the game not being too complicated at the moment. At the moment, you can only play battle demo and match modes. There will be more gameplay and characters that we plan to add later on.
We think the concept of the game is quite fascinating. The name Born of Fire comes from an important part of the game’s plot. The heroes enter a divine world to challenge the legendary Tower of Phoenix. When a player is defeated, they will be reborn in the Flames of Phoenix. Players will become stronger every time they lose. Through hard work and practice, a player may eventually be strong enough to beat the Phoenix to reach the top of the tower and become the god of a new generation. We are still working on putting the full concept into the game.
