Making great progress!

Hello! We wanted to give a quick update on the great progress we made over the last two weeks. The release date is getting closer and closer. We are already so excited!

8 maps are fully ready now (except a little bit polishing).
There are a lot of special mechanics like moving lily pads with a damage buff to place your plants on. Or weed you can grow on parts of the path to block enemies.



We developed a full system with achievements and unlockable stuff. You are able to unlock all plants while progressing through the maps. Every map has main achievements (which aren't easy). These achievements will be part of the Steam achievements which you will be able to unlock on your Steam profile.





A lot of statistics viewable ingame.
You will be able to track a lot of statistics about your game performance. A lot of these statistics will be used for Steam Achievements.




Next steps:




  • Create models for snails and use them as enemies (Will replace the round eyes we currently have as enemies
  • Create better textures for the ground on maps
  • Steam Achievements
  • Steam Leaderboard
  • Improve the UI
  • Improve some of the sounds

On every map there is a certain amount of plants you can choose to play with. These are the 12 plants that are already playable. All very different in their mechanic for some exciting combinations!

Map selection





This is the map selection where you choose which level you want to play. All come with 3 different game modes currently. Highscores included.

The last 3 maps are prototypes and need to be designed to be finished.



New maps and mechanics

I wanted to give a small update on what happened and on what I'm working since I created the Steam store page.

My main priority is creating many new maps. As many prototypes as possible. The best and most fun maps will be finished with full designs. Here are prototypes I created so far:













New mechanics



There are two new mechanics which can be seen on map 4 and 5.

Teleporters

The white fields are teleporter which warps enemies to another point on the map.

Obstacles

On certain fields there is small weed on the path. Spend some currency and grow them big to block the path for enemies. This could give you a tactical advantage.



More updates



There is still a lot to do until the full release and it's working great so far. I'm able to develope a lot of stuff really fast. A lot of foundation stone is already set.

Ideas for buildings

Currently there are 7 different buildings. There will be at least 15 for the release. One building is buffing all buildings next to it. Another building will be dublicating itself over time to free fields around itself. That's just two examples.
