The beginning is now easier for new players: for the 6 first levels there is now what is called a "grace period", which works as followed if the requirements are met: - enemies gradually go from 40% to 100% speed - the player gradually goes from 70% to 100% speed - enemy spawnrate is reduced. Using the current spawnrates for the grace period. And the pre-nerf spawnrate when no grace period. (cf previous posts) - it can be deactivated in the customization panel if that's not your thing.
The requirements are that you are not using any "strong upgrade", which are pentashot and full-auto. So upgraded simple shot, double turnspeed, and trishot would activate the grace period. (if not deactivated in the settings)
The starting turn speed has also been increased so that lining up the shots is less frustrating and more natural.
ACHIEVEMENTS
an achievement for each of the upgrades: - Upgrade simple shot. - Double turn speed. - Trishot. - Pentashot. - Full-auto. as well as: - Bouncer. This one is hard. - One tap. - Millionaire. - Minimalist.
The achievements related to unlocking the upgrades are retroactive. The others are not (for example, you need to get 1M points again even if you already did before this update). However, for this to work you need to do the following step:
To keep your previous game save do this:
Backup then copy Settings.sav from C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\BounceYourBullets\Saved\SaveGames (or equivalent) to your steam directory: *\steamapps\common\Bounce your Bullets!\BounceYourBullets\Saved\SaveGames (can be accessed quickly by right click on the game, properties, local files, browse)
This isn't intentional. There is an engine bug that breaks Steam achievements and the solution I've found makes the above happen as a side effect.
There is a small possibility that your system doesn't want the game to write in the game folder. This is why saves are usually in the AppData folder. It has easier access requirements. But we are not gonna talk about that and we are all gonna close our eyes and assume it won't happen.
Various other stuff.
- Dring sound duration in deathscreen is now proportional to the score. - There is now a "reset highscore" button in the option panel. This is mainly done for the few players that were there before 1.2.0 that might have had their score outrageously high and they now can't get past it. - The "rifle"(the yellow blob you pick up to shoot bullets) will now be teleported to its initial position if it isn't on screen when starting. This can happen if you die while being outside of the screen. It was still there but you wouldn't have be able to see it. It does this by checking if it is rendered on screen or not. - added a green notification in deathscreen when you've reached a new highscore. - added a green notification in deathscreen when a new upgrade is available. - tri-shot is now renamed penta-shot if upgraded. - the buttons are working better now. - base acceleration has been increased. You now "move" faster right after playing play.
And thank you to everyone that has left feedback. I really appreciate any contributions, helping me find bugs and issues, reviews, and sharing it with friends. - Quentin Edel
1.2.0
CHANGELOG for 1.2.0
"the weekend update" - added 'level reached' in deathscreen, as this reflects more the achievement of the player than just the score at the moment. - added 'best level' in deathscreen as well. - the score on deathscreen now grows from zero to your actual score. - and there is a driiing sound with it. - same for the 'level reached'. - renamed the 'achievements' button to 'upgrades'. They'll be linked to achievements when I figure out Steam achievements. - removed the quit button from the death screen (because I'm a bad person). Changed the requirements for the following upgrades : - unlock tri-shot : from survive level 20 to beat purple (ie survive level 12) - penta-shot (upgraded tri-shot) : from survive level 24 to survive level 21 (beat red 2) - full-auto : from survive level 30 to survive level 27 (beat purple 2) - note that in the rare situation where you've already reached x level but didn't unlock the related upgrade you'll need to reach it again. Because so far the game wasn't tracking your best level reached. - Toned down the amount of points the last bullet gives (the white one that goes boom). Most bullets give more points based on how many bounces they've got. But because that last one clears the screen, it makes everythings else feel kinda useless. Now it should be giving 50k-100k points depending on how many debris are on screen. (instead of 10 bajillions).
I want to thank everyone that has played the game, shared with friends, left feedback, and so on. If you enjoy the game please leave a review as it helps Steam recommend the game to more people. Happy weekend everyone :)

Update 1.1.0
CHANGELOG for 1.1.0
This update focuses on "not having the game impossible at the beginning". Which mostly occurs for new players before they've unlocked any upgrade. (And totally not because I've playtested the game with everything unlocked).
Level balance - the 3rd level is now half as hard. (from spawning an enemy every second to only every two seconds) - Reduced difficulty for level 5 and 6 (red levels). Red enemies spawn delays are now 7 and 5 seconds instead of 5 and 3 seconds, respectively (yellow enemies unchanged).
Upgrade/Unlocks balance I've changed the two/three first upgrades so that now you have : - beat red (survive level 6, instead of level 9) = unlock 'upgrade simple shot' (instead of trishot). - beat green (survive level 9, instead of 15) = unlock 'Double your turn speed' (instead of upgraded simple shot). - the third upgrade is now tri-shot instead of 'double your turn speed'. - If you had already unlocked tri-shot before the patch, then it should swap it for faster turning speed instead.
With that you should be able to "less impossibly" unlock the 2 first upgrade. The faster turning speed is particularly important because it helps you not smash into enemies when trying to shoot at them :).
And thank you to everyone that has left feedback. I really appreciate any contributions, reviews, sharing it with friends, and helping me find bugs and issues. - Quentin Edel
Bounce your Bullets! is Now Available!
Your bullets get stronger and stronger after they bounce enough times. 'Bounce your Bullets!' is a casual yet increasingly difficult colorful shmup. It is now available on Steam for PC.
A lot of things are still new to me development-wise, so please let me know in the forums if you encounter any problems or have any suggestions and I'll make sure to fix / handle anything.
Thank you to everyone that has followed and/or left comments or suggestions. I always enjoy reading about them.

Hello everyone,
quick update : - the trailer is now released (well, since last week actually). - the release date will be August 24. - 1.0.1 update (cf below).
As for mini-prelaunch update : - the score now stops counting after you die (sorry ¯\_(ツ)_/¯). - swapped some soundtracks. Now you get "Robobozo" for the first green level, instead of previously "Getting it Done". Both by Kevin MacLeod.
