Just a minor update - some names have been added to the shed on Gamecat Island. If you would like to see your name on there too, just get in touch. The best way to contact us is on our Discord server: https://discord.gg/tawwzKDB2z
The Gamecat Update
Not only does Boxed In now offer continuous-movement and smooth-turning, it now has a tropical island that includes a pineapple riding a unicorn, a great white shark, a castle, and a jetpack!
The jetpack can be taken back into the main game where you can use it in all game modes, or you can stay on the island and enter a mini-game in the style of Sega's "Nights into Dreams".
How do you access this magical place? We'll leave that to you to figure out! (Or, you can just Google it.)
Another update is on its way
We are currently working on another update for the game. This will add the following features:
Continuous Movement (in VR)
Smooth Turning (in VR)
Advanced Options: (in VR)
Snap Turn Angle
Smooth Turn Speed
Move relative to head or controller
Next Colour Indicator
Improved controller input when playing "flat" (i.e. non VR)
Fixed a bad Spanish translation
If there is anything you would like to see added/improved in the game then give us a shout!

Boxed In: The long-overdue update!
Ahead of the launch of Boxed In on PlayStation, we have updated the game with the following additions and improvements:
Achievements
There are now 51 Steam Achievements for you to unlock.
Localisation
You can play in English, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, German, French, Japanese or Italian.
Support for more VR headsets
The game detects Oculus Quest (1 and 2), Oculus Rift, Valve Index, HTC Vive and HTC Cosmos
Controller Vibration
Whether you're playing in VR or not, if your controller supports vibration...we rumble it!
VR Seated Play Improvements
You can now turn in the virtual world without turning in the real world.
VR Comfort Options
We added a "Blank screen when falling" option which is turned on by default.
VR Depth Perception Improvements
To make it easier to determine if blocks are aligned, we added a white border to the cubes.
Audio Re-design
When music was turned off, the game was eerily quiet. We have fixed that by adding suitable ambient sounds. In Survival mode, when music is on, we modify the music to add to the tension (it's subtle but it does the trick)!
Optimised
The game will run much faster on all machines.
Bug Fixes
If you were really, REALLY good at the game, it was possible to have the blocks moving so fast in Survival that the game crashed. Not any more!
Some TLC (Tender Loving Care)
We have polished the game into a much more enjoyable experience.

Boxed In 2021! :)
Internal testing of latest build. This contains all the improvements from the PS4 version.
Update v1.01
Greetings!
We have just released v1.01 of Boxed In. This includes the following changes:
Solitaire has a new soundtrack - more fitting of the game mode
Added 'Game Over' and 'Game Complete' sound effects
If try and change a cube's colour to the same colour - now play an error sound
If try and add a block when not pointing at an existing block - play an error sound
BUG FIX: Leaderboard now uses all available space to display scores
BUG FIX: When playing "old school" (not in VR) made the player's collider thinner so can move between blocks
BUG FIX: Fixed floor reflection not lining-up correctly (making blocks and the teleport ring look like they were floating)
BUG FIX: In Solitaire mode - only score points for blocks that were NOT added by the player
BUG FIX: 'Number of shots' no longer counts invalid shots (e.g. trying to fire red at red, etc.)
BUG FIX: Teleporting is no longer blocked by the player's collision box
If you discover any problems or you have any suggestions for future updates then head to the Discussions page and get in touch.
Happy gaming.

'Boxed In' is out!
We are very excited to tell you that 'Boxed In' is now available to buy.
We have recently added a tutorial mode that explains the three main actions in the game: changing a cube's colour, adding a new cube, and pushing cubes. Let us know if anything in the tutorial doesn't make sense.
Similarly, if you find any bugs in the game then let us know and we will fix them as quickly as we can. We have done our very best to make the game as solid as possible but with the trillions of players that are about to start enjoying the game, there's a chance you might find something we missed! ːsteamhappyː
Happy Holidays!

Oculus Home Artwork
If you're anything like us then you don't want to see this:
In your Oculus library, because this:
looks much nicer!
We have put together a collection of images for you that will replace the default ones created by Oculus Home. Here's a link to download them:
In that folder there will be an entry for Boxed In. Find the folder and then extract the files to it. After you restart the Oculus software, everything should look much better!
Of course, you can create your own images instead. Feel free to share your creations with us! ːsteamhappyː

Quick update
Seasons greetings!
Thanks for all the help from our beta testers. As a result of the feedback, we have just released an update with the following changes:
<*> Fixed the FRIENDS leaderboard - it was still showing the GLOBAL leaderboard
<*> Improved the teleporter - when on top of blocks, the teleporter ignores the gaps between cubes making it more reliable to teleport especially when under pressure!
We are currently working on a TUTORIAL mode and hope to have it finished in time for release tomorrow! ːsteamhappyː
