So for the past couple of weeks we have had a large shake up on the project and we have ported over to the latest game engine and have been updating some art assets and rebaking some environments.
our performance has already increased massively and things are looking much prettier, we have started working heavily on making the levels feel grounded, with lots of particle effects such as sand, interactive spider webs that get stuck in your hands. Also our first major pass of sound effects has been coming along rather nicely; the levels are starting to get a real nice atmospheric vibe whilst exploring.
Player Mechanics
Player mechanics have gone into Breachpoint's 3rd stage of refinement, it's got to a point where we are really comfortable with how we move around our worlds in VR.
We can run, jump and scale walls, also descending tomb chambers via ladders. Ride level specific things such as mine carts and role and pulley. All of these things really help sell the adventurer role players are stepping into.
New Level Announcement
Mayan Jaguar Temple
As one of our first released maps, we have began work on our latest level which will be set in Mexico during the first discovery of an ancient civilizations Mayan temple. Players will fight it out or explore the large temple complex both in the jungle, up high and underground in the spooky tombs.
Next week we will be continuing with the construction of Mexico whilst looking into networking optimizations and testing out some possible destructive scenery.

Hiya Folks,
So just another quick update on Breach Point, we have been fairly quiet over the past year, working full time and creating content for both Breach Point and our sister game ZomB - both games of which are going through a major makeover.
We are aware we look like we are making progress but not releasing anything; with the struggles of working from home and Covid, we are trying our best to manage our lives and keep up on our production.
We are a tiny team of 2 here at Black Dragon Productions, one a Coder and the other an Artist. We both manage both work and games design at the same time. We have gained lots of knowledge over the production of both of our games, and we have been adjusting our core mechanics during the rapid progression in the VR industry; so when you get to dive in and start launching buckets of bullets at one another, you will have the best experience we want you to have.
We have parked our full single player experience at the moment, as this story is very much ready to be created, but we want to assure the quality of the production is going to be there on its release, therefore the single player/co-op campaign mode will mature over the course of the games entire production.
We have included the roadmap above for you to see what we have planned for our first public release, including our first release date of Q3 2021.

So to start us off officially, Breach Point has been thrown at the wall and kicked with a size 10 work boot; We have been really hard at work developing new ideas and throwing around new and exciting ideas. There's lots to tell so lets start with:
Arenas
Arenas will be a PVP multiplayer VR game in which players battle it out for dominance or work together in co-op to complete tasks, planting bombs/ taking gold or just fighting for kills and more...
We have been working on a series of arena levels spanning across the games various time periods. We visit such areas as Colombia in and around a village, fighting in among the trees and in houses; also Egypt during the 1950's exploring and fighting both above ground and underground in hidden chambers, also travelling back in time to visit Aztec Temples and into the years of the American Civil war where we find ourselves in a derelict house overlooked by the dark force of a witch.
Arenas will consist of a various selection of game types from:
Team Deathmatch
Deathmatch
King of the Hill
Capture the Gold
Protect the VIP
Last Man Standing
and more...
Each game type will be playable on a selection of maps taken from within the Breach Point story arc, we will continue to add more maps as we progress development. Each game type and map will have a selection of weapons that belong to both its game type and theatre , and will also host a 'customize weapons' mode.
Features in Development
Players will have a full body customizable avatar which they can choose from a selection of skins and update facial features and body types. As well as this players will be able to play as key characters from the world of Breach Point, you will be able to play as human characters from the story or also choose to play as one of our many mythical creatures within the game, take Anubis as one example.
Players can grab a variety of objects in the world to use as a weapon or to create a blockade. use switches and leavers to activate in world objects, such as releasing the brakes on a mine cart or opening a large mechanical door.
