Brew announcement - coming FALL 2025

Demo Patch April 2025
In February, we released the Brew Demo.
The demo will be updated periodically and it will stay up until the release of the game.

In the demo, we showcased the first day of arriving at the Alchemy Academy, along with a peek at the Mechanology floor and the duel against Professor Akilah. We also had a bunch of friendship events for you to unlock in the Academy Grounds!


Features



  • Introduced a new break room to the tower, the Shop!
  • Added explanation cards with video to the tutorial.

Balance changes



  • Added direct impact damage to the water grenade launcher
  • Increased Shield Guy's jump attack damage (5 - 12)

Sound Effects



  • Added firing sounds to the air sniper when you're not at the sweet spot.
  • Made a new sound for the sniper
  • Removed the clap sound when reaching the sweet spot
  • Added a charge sound
  • Updated the Water Grenade gun sounds
  • Updated the Shotgun sounds
  • Added new chest sounds
  • Fixed a bug with the sound location of the shield guy laser, often making it inaudible.
  • Updated the Crab locomotion sounds
  • Updated double jump sounds
  • Updated the sounds of destructables


Bug Fixes and Misc Changes



  • Made corks spawn in a more satisfying way
  • Shield guy

    • Set a minimum laser distance
    • Fixed bug where Shield Guy Rocket indicators were invisible
    • Replaced Shield Guy Rocket VFX and indicator VFX

  • Removed some rough WIP features hidden in the Hub
  • Disabled potion upgrade with unintended behavior (fire shotgun)
  • Changed collision on enemies to work with water dash
  • Fixed the fire dash upgrade
  • Possibly fixed an obscure crash happening to about 1% of our players :(
  • Changed the visuals of hovered buttons from darkening the button to a background glow, to make it more clear what is hovered or not.
  • Fixed a possible infinite loop with a specific badge combination
  • Fixed water splash spawning multiple times on the water grenade
  • Removed badges from the tutorial
  • Updated the basic attack VFX




Did you know that there are friendship events for each character in the demo?
You must become friends with them to unlock them, but event Newt and Aster have extra events!
