It’s almost time to take a sip! Brewmaster release date announcement
Brewmaster: Beer Brewing Simulator will be ready to serve on 29th September 2022 🍺
We’re super excited to announce that Brewmaster: Beer Brewing Simulator will be pouring onto PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch on September 29th 2022! We at Auroch Digital, alongside our publisher Fireshine Games, have been working so hard on this game and we are so stoked to announce a release date so we can share it with you!
Brewmaster: Beer Brewing Simulator is the first realistic brewing simulator, with authentic, chemistry-driven brewing techniques, to bottling and labelling your very own beers. You’ll be able to become the ultimate Brewmaster from September 29th 2022 on all platforms.
You may have seen IGN reveal our release date as part of their Awesome Indies Showcase over Gamescom 👀 How cool is that?!
Cosy up by the fire and wait only a little while longer until you can get your hands on the game for yourself (there’s no way to speed up time IRL like you can in game, unfortunately!)
As you're reading this on Steam, make sure you’ve wishlisted the game, and follow it too for updates. Following gives you immediate notifications of cool things that we're getting up to; like betas, player surveys, when we're on sale, and other awesome updates, and it also helps us see just how many of you are super engaged with what we're putting out ahead of the Brewmaster launch!
If you’re new here, or just want a tasty reminder of what’s to come, check out our trailer below:

🍻 Brewmaster at Gamescom, and meet the in-game Team! 🍻
👋🏻 Hi Brewers Club!
Welcome to the August issue of the Brewers club with your latest update on Brewmaster🍻
⏰ Way back in mid-June of 2019 we started working on the pitch document and pitch demo for what would go on to become Brewmaster. As we get closer towards launch (we’ll tell you when that is soon, promise!) we’re starting to look back on where we’ve come with the project. The team has grown from just a handful initially, all the way up to well over twenty, comprising talented designers, artists, coders, testers, marketers, producers, and business folks.
🧾 Compare the pitch demo that we based the first trailer on, with the current version of the game seen in the Next Fest trailer, and you can see just how much progress has been made in the last three years.
📝 As we write this, every single one of those team members I mentioned is hard at work. They’re cramming in small extra features you’re yet to see, little changes from the demo you might not notice, shining little things to as high a polish as possible, or one of the myriad other things that go to making an average game good, a good game great, or a great game a classic.
💜 First up you'll meet Jeff - if you've played our demo, you'll have met Jeff, but did you know that his favourite beer is an American IPA?
💚 Next up, meet Rosa! She's always striving to make sure everyone feels included, and her favourite beer is a Belgian Pale Ale.
💛 Then we move on to our rule breaker, Pat! They're always looking for new and experimental ways to craft beer. Their fave beer is a Contemporary Gose. Yes I also read it as "Contemporary Goose" 🦢 (I know that's a swan, there's no goose emoji).
🧡 Up next is Mei, who's a nature-loving ocean of calm when things start getting a bit tough. Her favourite beer is Sahti!
Brewmaster is at the Indie Arena Booth at Gamescom, with our publishers, Fireshine Games! You'll be able to chat to the team, play the demo of Brewmaster (if you've not played it yet, now's your chance!), and grab some of Fireshine's merch. Oooh, love to play games and get free goodies 😍
If you happened to miss some of our social posts this month, here's a little catch-up with some cute bonuses! Check out our mascot Coco looking super cute in her Brewmaster apron, next to a can of Auroch Digitale! Don't worry, she didn't drink the beer - because human beer isn't made for animals!
Also we got a huge delivery of Auroch Digitale and our wonderful in-office team made this super cute love heart with our beers for #BeerDay! 🍺💕 Super cute.
🍻 Our IRL beer has launched, and Auroch's furry friends 🍻
👋🏻 Hi Brewers Club!
Welcome to the July issue of the Brewers club with your latest update on Brewmaster🍻
🍻 We're really hoppy to share our latest update! 🍻
Hello Brewers! It’s been an exciting month here at Auroch Digital! We are officially content locked, loaded, and ready as we get closer to launch.
🎮 But before that, you lovely folks had the opportunity to get hands on with the Brewmaster demo throughout Next Fest and beyond, and we hope you enjoyed every moment of it. We received a lot of really valuable feedback from our community, and have been putting our heads down working on improving the game.
📝 Our design team have written up a full tutorial and a whole host of contextual hints/tips to fully introduce future Brewmasters to the intricacies of brewing the perfect beer. We’ve also gone back to the drawing board on a few objects we’ve received some feedback on; namely the sink and the electric brew kettle. Your feedback has really helped us redesign these to be intuitive to players, not just us folks making the game. And has really highlighted to the team that we don’t always know best!
🔢 Some of our code team have been hard at work with our final big feature. We can’t say too much, but you should definitely look forward to it. Meanwhile, other members of our code team have been hard at work overhauling pouring and brew visuals to improve performance across the board. You probably won't notice these, as we’ve worked extra hard to make these changes as seamless as possible.
🖼 The Art team have been adding even more goodies into the game for you all to unlock and customise your brew spaces with. No spoilers! But they look really cool!
💻On the UI/UX side of things, our team have been working to put those final tweaks on the UI to give you the best visual experience possible.
👀 With all that said, we hope you’re all looking forward to Brewmaster when it launches!
You may remember us talking about our partnership with them earlier this year, and we're so excited that we've got a real-life beer you can taste whilst brewing your own in-game version!
But just how did this come about?
🤔 Well, the idea of having an IRL beer come out to celebrate our game, was first a throwaway thought at the very beginning of our project. It seemed like it was one of those "would be cool, probably wouldn't happen" things.
🎨 And then it was down to our wonderful Art Team, where Elysia came up with the initial ideas for the can, and the team (Joe, Chris, and Dan) set to work to make it the best it could be. When they were happy, they passed it over to Moor Beer's designer, Ich Bin Ben, to finish it off.
💗 Thus, at the risk of sounding like The Powerpuff Girls' intro, Auroch Digitale was born! Using its ultra hoppy powers, Auroch Digitale has dedicated its life to giving you a refreshing, real-life taste of one of our in-game recipes in Brewmaster, and what a fantastic collab it is! 😍
We're definitely a little bit (ok, a lottle bit) biased here when we say that Auroch Digital have the cutest pets in the industry. I mean, just look at this wall full of amazing characters. From rabbits, to dogs, and hedgehogs to cats, we mean it when we say we have the cutest companion animals around.
And that's lucky for you too, really. Because it means you'll be able to decorate your brewing space with these gorgeous creatures. You'll be able to find out who they are and a little bit about them when you choose which pictures to put up, so we're excited for you to learn a little bit of Auroch lore!
❓ You asked for help, we answered with our tutorial ❗
We heard you, the demo needed a little bit of explaining to do. So we got straight to work on making a really user-friendly tutorial for you to follow in the game when it's been released.
It's got tips, arrows, and exclamation points for you to really understand what you need to be doing. Not sure what hops are used for? No worries - the tutorial will explain this for you. Can't find where something might be kept, the cupboard or the fridge? Follow that exclamation mark and arrow! Easy.
You'll be able to learn all of the tricks of the trade early on and get to grips with the art of brewing with a wonderfully written guide. If you'd rather just play about and have a go and fail as often as you like, you can skip the tutorial too!
😲 Last chance to play the demo! 😲
I know, at this point it feels like a staple in your Steam library to see the Brewmaster Demo just sitting there, chilling out. But this weekend is your last chance to play the demo. We're closing it at the end of July! Get those beers in this weekend 🍻
💻🍺 What do you get when you cross beer with tech? 🍺💻
Hi Brewers Club!
Welcome to the June issue of the Brewers club with your latest update on Brewmaster🍻
June has been pretty full-on for the team, starting with us creating a special version of the game for you to play for Next Fest. Whenever we create a “build” (the game you download and play), the development team here spends a bunch of time making sure it’s shipshape: squashing as many bugs as we can get to, squeezing in improvements we want you to see and, of course, making sure you get to hear that it’s available to play in the first place.
But it’s been so so so worth that time. It sounds like you folks enjoyed the game, based on all the lovely messages we’ve had from you, and we’re grateful to read your feedback on what you like, what can be improved, and so on. You’ve also found a few bugs we didn’t know about, which means we can polish those off ahead of launch too.
Anything else? Oh yes indeed.
🦠 We’ve been adding in the Contamination System, in which brews have the potential to become contaminated, just like they would in the real world.
🏆 Achievements are now almost all in and we’re pretty proud of these, as they’re going to add another layer of challenge for those that want to demonstrate complete mastery of brewing.
💡 There’s been a lot of work on tutorialisation too, both in terms of a more guided experience from Jeff that supports you as you take your first steps into homebrewing, as well as contextual hints that will help guide you on more complicated challenges.
📝 Writing and translations are about 90% done (see the full list of currently confirmed languages on our store page), more cosmetic items than ever are in and waiting for you to decorate your brewing space, and the furniture system itself has also had some major improvements.
Alright, what else have we got for you...
🥺 Follow us on Steam! (Pretty please?) 🥺
We've noticed sooo many of you have wishlisted Brewmaster, and even more of you have since Next Fest (more on that below), and we're so grateful to those who have followed us. Thank you!
But we're here to ask you to also follow us on Steam. There's a big difference between the two, so let me explain.
Following not only gives you immediate notifications of cool things that we're getting up to; like betas, player surveys, when we're on sale, and other awesome updates, but it also helps us see just how many of you are super engaged with what we're putting out ahead of the Brewmaster launch!
Wishlisting will tell you when the game is released, or when the game is on sale. But that's it. Do you see the difference?
⭐ Catch up with what happened at Next Fest ⭐
Not only did we have a playable demo (that's still live btw), we also had two amazing streams go live over the week at Next Fest!
Ladell and Isobel from the Brewmaster team were joined by Kenny Gould, founder of Hop Culture to talk about all things brewing and technology. Find out how we are featuring Untappd, Hop Culture, and Beer Advocate in the game. Learn more about decorating your brewing space, how you’ll take on and complete jobs, find out about competitions, and hear about the UK and US craft beer scenes. Plus, pick up some great brewing tips for your own Brewmaster journey.
Andres and Jack from the Brewmaster team will be joined by Justin Hawke, Head Brewer and owner of Moor Beer Company and Kenny Gould, founder of Hop Culture, to talk about beer, brewing and technology, how they work together. The team and their guests discuss the current state of the beer culture and how the social media has affected it. You’ll also hear about the technological advancements to brewing beer and selling beer, as well as what our guests think the future of beer and tech holds.
Long answer: Yes! We had such a good reception over Next Fest with our demo being live that we decided to extend how long the demo would be up for until June 27th at 10am BST, meaning you have a good few days (and a full weekend!) to play the demo if you've not had a chance to yet.
📣 And also a little PSA to those streaming it live on Twitch: Tag us on Twitter/Instagram/Tiktok (all @AurochDigital) if you decide to play our game and remember to set your Twitch category to “Brewmaster” and not “Games + Demos”
We’ve seen a bunch of awesome creators have their content lost to the vast abyss that is the “Games + Demos” category on Twitch and now we can’t add them to our lists of content creators to work with. 😭 (We are looking for people to send keys and exciting packages near launch) 👀
This month we announced Brewmaster's newest partnership with Next Glass. Next Glass is the leading global provider of software, eCommerce solutions, content, and experiences in the beverage alcohol industry.
Part of Next Glass are 3 brands that we are working with and including in Brewmaster.
Founded in 1996, BeerAdvocate is the go-to beer resource for millions of consumers each month. The benchmark for beer reviews, one of the largest and oldest online beer communities, and host of world-class beer fests.
Hop Culture was started to provide independent craft beer journalism and help shine a spotlight on local craftsmen. Born as an online magazine, it has since grown to include festivals, brewery collaborations, and regular merch drops.
Untappd is an app for beer enthusiasts to discover, share, rate, and explore nearby bars, breweries, and beers. Untappd also hosts festivals, promotions, and giveaways to help brands promote their beers.
To find out how these brands fit into our game, check out this Steam post with more details on the partnership!
🍻 Bristol Craft Beer Festival 🍻
Some of the Brewmaster team headed down to Bristol Craft Beer festival last week and tried lots of tasty craft beers from all over world. All of the stalls had so much knowledge and love poured into every glass - it was so hard to choose a favourite! My favourite beer from the festival was Clwb Tropica from Tiny Rebel, Andres' was North x Thicc Sauce - Chocolate + Chilli Stout from North Brewing Co. and Peter's was Hymn for the Weekend by Twisted Wheel Brew Co.
We also witnessed Pete beat Andres at shuffle board - which was a definite highlight.
Our partners Moor Beer were there too! They are going to be featured as the sponsor of a special in-game challenge, where players who successfully brew a winning beer will be rewarded with an unlockable cosmetic to show off their accomplishment. Moor Beer glasses will also appear in-game which players can use to serve up their creations. Read more about the partnership here!
🍺Beer, Technology, and brewing: The Brewmaster devs chat to Hop Culture Founder

A massive thank you for all of the feedback, it really helps us understand how you play. We will be continually updating this post as we hear more from you. So keep checking back if you need help! 🍻
Getting started in Brewmaster: Beer Brewing Simulator
Start off by opening the “Brewer’s Quarterly” magazine near the front door
Choose one of the jobs in the Brewer’s Quarterly, and then a recipe that will meet the requirements of the job
Recipes can be pinned to the HUD via the recipes section in the Brewer’s Quarterly or in your journal
Use your watch (T on keyboard / LT on controller) to accelerate time
To skip larger amounts of time, use the calendar in the workshop
To see the temperature of a liquid, activate X-ray mode when looking at the container
To transfer liquids to Conditioning Containers, you’ll have to use a tube
When using tubes, make sure the target container is lower than the first, so gravity can do its work
If your final brew isn’t large enough to qualify as a small batch, try adding more water to get it closer to 20L
If things go wrong with your brew, don’t worry - just return to the start of the recipe. Brewing is a learning experience!
Contamination in Brewmaster
There are various times in the brewing process where contamination can creep into your brew, such as leaving off the lid during the fermentation stage, or leaving it ON during the boil. This can be seen by the amount of "off" flavours in your beer. The lower the Contamination, the higher the quality of the beer. Contamination can be reduced by good brewing practices, such as leaving the lid off when boiling wort so that unwanted chemicals can escape.
Our new Brewmaster: Beer Brewing Simulator demo is available to play for free right now over on Steam. We’ve released a new demo which is much bigger than anything players have got to try before. Here’s all the things you’ll be able to do:
🏃♀️ Explore the kitchen and tasting room, try decorating with a few items in build mode
🧾 Follow 2 recipes, try making some beers
🍻 Try to complete 2 jobs and level up
👩🍳 Try out a story stage with Jeff
🎨 Design your own label in our label maker
🍳 Test out a range of equipment and experiment with a selection of ingridients
🍺 Use the tasting sequence to see what kind of beer you have made
📔 Our Recipe System, which makes following the recipe easier than ever! Use your journal, pin recipes, and view the recipe overlay
🍻 Brewmaster is taking part in NextFest 🍻

🤝🏾 Brewmaster and Next Glass partnership 🤝🏻
We are very excited to announce a new partnership with Next Glass for our upcoming game Brewmaster: Beer Brewing Simulator. Next Glass is the leading global provider of software, eCommerce solutions, content, and experiences in the beverage alcohol industry.
"Because Auroch Digital knocked Mars Horizon out of the park, we knew Brewmaster was going to be something special. Our work with them over the last year and a half proved the case -- the game is as close to the brewhouse that you can get without getting spent grain on your boots." - Kenny Gould
Part of Next Glass are 3 brands that we are working with and including in Brewmaster!
BeerAdvocate
Founded in 1996, BeerAdvocate is the go-to beer resource for millions of consumers each month. The benchmark for beer reviews, one of the largest and oldest online beer communities, and host of world-class beer fests.

Hop Culture
Hop Culture was started to provide independent craft beer journalism and help shine a spotlight on local craftsmen. Born as an online magazine, it has since grown to include festivals, brewery collaborations, and regular merch drops.
In Brewmaster, Hop Culture will also sponsor a competition and provide a job. You’ll be able to unlock Hop Culture glasses, using the logo and artwork, as well as framed posters (based on real life posters) to decorate your brewing space.
Untappd
Untappd is an app for beer enthusiasts to discover, share, rate, and explore nearby bars, breweries, and beers. Untappd also hosts festivals, promotions, and giveaways to help brands promote their beers.
What we are especially excited about in working with Untappd is that in the game it will provide you with ratings for you brewed “guest beers” with local breweries featured in the game. You’ll also be able to unlock an Untappd glass for your brewing space too!

🍻 What have we been brewing up in development this month? 🍻
Greetings Brewsters! I'm Lucy and I am an Associate Producer on Brewmaster 🍺 Time has absolutely flown by since our last update and I just want to share an amazing experience our team shared this month. As you may know, we have the choice to work remotely at Auroch Digital. Once or twice in a project we have the opportunity to get together at the studio in Bristol, and that’s exactly what our team did on Friday the 13th this month!
After we got over how tall some people are in real life, we began the day taking a look at the console versions of Brewmaster. They look amazing!
The real fun began in the evening when we headed down to our partner’s local brewery in Bristol, Moor Beer. Moor Beer were kind enough to give us a thorough tour of their facilities and tell us all about brewing on a commercial level. Whilst it isn’t what Brewmaster will be about, it gave us a great picture of how scalable brewing beer is! As it happened though, Moor Beer has a small homebrewing setup for testing new recipes. The art team were positively giddy seeing the real life assets they had modeled in Brewmaster. After that we settled into the tap room for a tasting of a huge variety of beers, from light lagers to chocolatey stouts.
Back in our home/office we got hard to work refining a bunch of metagame systems, finalising our recipes, and starting work on some really interesting systems that will add to the realism we are aiming for. We have a lot more to come next month that I can’t talk about right now...
✨Cap it off✨
While we have been working hard this month in the background, we gave you a teaser of some of the wall decorations you can have in your brewing space.
Everyone loves to collect rare bottle caps, so we decided to immortalise some of our favourites for you to see. What bottle caps would you put up?
📼 On repeat 📼
The past couple of months there has been a lot of digital coverage of Brewmaster and now we have all the links for you to watch back at your pleasure. 🤩
Firstly, there was Simfest, which was a joint Steam & Auroch Digital event where we celebrated simulation games.
Brewmaster was featured in the following Simfest panels and streams.
In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Week, we took a deep dive into how games can have a positive impact on our mental health and wellbeing.
Junior Business Development Associate here at Auroch Digital (and neuroscientist), Jess Rutland, is passionate about discussing real-world issues in relation to games – from climate change to mental health.
In this blog post, Jess talks about how Brewmaster can take us on a journey of relaxation and how gaming can help wellbeing, boost serotonin and improve our overall mental health.
