BRING IT DOWN! Launches Today!
Hello from MIRROR QUEEN!
We're excited to get our first VR game out the door and into your hands. We really do hope BRING IT DOWN! makes its way onto your list of favorite VR games to show your family and friends.
Over the next few weeks we'll be directly addressing issues posted on the Steam forums as well as anything we come across on our Discord (which is the quickest way to get in contact with us). We've got little improvements here and there to make and some small graphical tweaks that are in the works, but the next big update is coming in late November or early December.
The Big Update
Lots of things haven't made Version 1.0 like we originally were hoping, but this additional time to polish up a few features is much appreciated and we want everyone to be looking forward to what we've got in store for the future. Let's talk about a few, and we'll save a few for later.
Level Editor & Steam Workshop
As we posted back in June, we've already got the groundwork for a solid level editor. In fact, all of the levels in the game were basically designed in it. We have a working level format and things have progressed nicely in this area since we last talked about it. We want something that will give creators everything they need while making it accessible, and that's kind of tough but we think you'll like what we put together.
And what's a level editor without Steam Workshop? We've worked with the workshop heavily in our past games and have grown to love its features and the wacky things our communities have come up with. We'll have workshop support far beyond any of our past titles and we hope to foster another great creative community.
New Locations
Right now the city backdrop is the only thing you see during a game. Obviously the backdrop isn't integral to the gameplay, but right now you could make an argument that the setting is a bit lacking and we'd agree with you. Each level set will have its own location with a semi-unique theme, so look forward to that!
Steam Achievements
We're putting together a list of achievements that are both fun to get, while not being just painful drag. We want the achievements for this game to mean a bit more to us than the way we've treated achievements in the past, and we'll show you what that looks like in our big update.
Pancake Mode
When we started working on BRING IT DOWN! I couldn't envision any other way to play it other than VR, and to a certain extent I think that VR will remain the recommended way to play moving forward. Making levels and testing them is much easier done in 2D or "pancake" mode and we think that creators will want to utilize the game and its tools in a similar way to how we have. This has the added benefit of letting people who don't have VR headsets give it a try, even if it isn't quite the full experience.
So while this next big update will upgrade our pancake mode from beta to production we still think you should play in VR, but we're big fans of the option when needed.
Thanks for reading! Enjoy BRING IT DOWN! and we'll talk soon!

BRING IT DOWN! 6-28 News
Hello from MIRROR QUEEN!
We're going to try and keep everyone up to date with the happenings of BRING IT DOWN! as we get closer to release with a weekly newsletter of sorts.
First thing's first, if you've been watching the store page you may have seen some changes recently...
BRING IT DOWN! is going to launch with both Steam Workshop support and a level editor! Originally we were going to hold off on this feature until post-launch but it has been highly requested so we made it a priority. Here's one of our first screenshots from inside the editor.
Since this is a work in progress we're not entirely sure of what all the features will be, but we will be building all of the included levels with this editor so expect it to be easy to use and fun to test with.
If you haven't yet, add BRING IT DOWN! to your Steam wishlist. This is how we're able to tell that people are interested in what we're working on and is a humongous help.
