We're finally here! The end!

It has been a LONG 2 1/2 years of development on this project - which was meant to only take a couple of months!

On August 16th, you can finally play the full game!

We've made a few changes to things since the beginning, and even since the last update, you will probably find a lot of differences.

Here's a list of what the full, complete game will contain when it releases as v1.0 in just a few weeks:

  • 8 Playable Stages, each with it's own biome, enemies, Mid and Major Bosses, and secrets to find!
  • 2 starting characters, Sir Gerveson the Human Knight, and Soosan Willyams, the Elvish Archer
  • 16(!) characters to unlock in various ways!
  • Over 50(!) weapons and items to find, unlock, and equip!
  • Rare, powerful relics!
  • Lots of achievements! Some of them reward you with bonuses like characters and equipment!
  • Tons, and tons of enemies to fight!
  • Memory Fragments to collect to piece together the story!
  • In-game Codex to log all the things you find!


We hope, more than anything, that you enjoy playing our game when it is finally released. Tell your friends!

We will be updating the game with bug fixes and tweaks after the game is released, and we have plans for one additional bonus level that we want to add for players who have done everything else in the game - so keep an eye for those updates as well!

Next year is the 10th Anniversary of Axol Studio, LLC. Keep watch here and on social media for some big announcements related to that real soon as well!

V0.14.20 - Some Balance & Performance Changes

Hello everyone! This update just changes the balance of some characters and levels, maybe shuffles some weapons/items around, and improves performance in a few places.
Sorry for this update taking so long ...
But get excited - we're gearing up for the FINAL release sometime later this year!

v0.14.18 - Fixing Enemy Spawns

This should fix the bug where enemies seem to stop spawning after a few minutes or so.

Just a couple of quick fixes:

Fixing the Achievements Screen
Fixing the level 5 Boss so he doesn't die to being revived and slightly tweaked his damage.

v0.14.16 - Bug Fixes and Improvements Galore!

Based on your feedback, we made LOTS of changes to the game since the last update.
Here are a few of the changes:


  • Lots of changes to Character Mastery, Unlocks, Weapons, Items, etc. Some items that were unlockables are now combination items, some items have changed how they get unlocked, etc. Added new unlockables and rewards.
  • Tweaked enemy spawning logic - should feel better.
  • Changed the Fire Gem Aura ability to be better.
  • Fixed the 2nd Level MidBoss AI.
  • Fixed regen for all characters.
  • Fixed Druid Thorns talent
  • Recategorized some weapons from being Ranged-type to new Thrown-type
  • Fixed issue with enemies getting stuck in Invincible mode after defeating level 5 MidBoss.
  • Fixed Holy Relic weapon
  • Reduced projectile count for the Trident weapon
  • Fixed UI bug where it appeared as if you could toggle talents on/off
  • Fixed defeated bosses not appearing in Codex.
  • Reduced armor for the level 5 boss
  • Tweaked some effects to boost performance
  • Fixed relics that were not working
  • Achievements should be checked at startup better
  • Changed Drones to now have a ranged attack
  • Changed Shell of the Sea to give the Monster a wave attack
  • Changed Bear's Nature Affinity talent to something that actually makes sense
  • Reduced enemy explosion timer


There might be some items in here that got changed/fixed that we didn't mention.

This update focused more on bug fixes or fixing glaring issues with balance or performance. We are planning to have at least one more update before the next main content update that will address some of the suggestions made recently by community members to help tweak the feel of the game to be more fun.

v0.14.8 - More Bug fixes!

Unsurprisingly, v0.14.7 had some bugs. We've fixed some of the major, game-breaking ones. Hopefully you can enjoy the game better now.

v0.14.7 - Bug Fixes, Balance Changes, and Better UI!

We've made several improvements to the game that we wanted to get out to you sooner rather than later!

We've improved the UI/UX in order to work better for non-mouse users, and improved the contrast of buttons a bit.
We've tweaked the balance of some of the gameplay - including the Corruption. It should be less dangerous early on, and more dangerous the harder the level.
Several crashes and bug fixes have been implemented to improved gameplay.

v0.14.6 Coming Soon!

We are planning to release a small update shortly that will contain a lot of UI/UX changes, gameplay balance and improvement fixes, and bug fixes.

This update will not include a new level - that is coming soon - but should improve on some of the things in the game right now - notably the Corruption mechanic.
