2.1.6 Update

Changes:

  • Reduced the amount of deaths required for the Masochist achievement to 25.

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed an issue that prevented loses from saving for some players.

2.1.5 Update

Changes:

  • Rebalanced score given by most enemies and some items.
  • Regular enemies no longer give score or items in boss rooms.
  • Started a new high score leaderboard.
  • Reduced the ridiculous score requirement of a few achievements.

Changes:
  • Increased the health the knight gains from pickups again from 33 to 50.

Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed an issue where weapons sometimes stopped dropping during boss fights.
  • Fixed an issue where unpausing the game sometimes caused the wrong music track to play.
  • With page up/down volume no longer goes to 101. (Insert This Is Spinal Tap reference here)

2.1.3 Update

Changes:

Water is considerably less dangerous now.
  • Blue just slows you.
  • Green slows and applies a short poison effect.
  • Red slows and damages you directly, faster than green's poison.

<*>Health pickups have new sprites to help differentiate them more from the mage's fireball spell pickup.
<*>Centered the player's block overlap instead of it being more on the top and none on the bottom. This may be replaced with a better pathing system later.

<*>The mage's heal spell pickup no longer prevents all other spells from dropping during boss fights.

<*>Player movement is now fully analog. You can move in 8 directions on a keyboard or dpad but an analog stick feels better.
<*>Player movement speed has been reduced.
<*>Player hitboxes have been reduced.
<*>Weapon cycling has been replaced by 4 separate weapon buttons and an interface to match.
<*>The game can now be windowed by pressing Alt+Enter.
<*>Increased the game's internal resolution. This should make movement smoother.
<*>The startup logos now only display when you first start the game.
<*>Removed the controls screen since it's not really necessary anymore.
Bug Fixes
<*>Save data wasn't loading properly for some people, instead showing "Undefined" in every field. Local high scores and such have been wiped for this change but not the leaderboard.
<*>Some people were having issues with screenshots only capturing the left half of the screen.
<*>Volume no longer reverts when unpaused if changed with page up/down while paused.

<*>Completely re-wrote the save files using Shotgun Legend's newer method. high scores and such have been reset in game for this one but the leaderboards remain.
Bug Fixes:
<*>Corrected the lock up that occurred in the first shop of the second loop.

Fixed a/d not selecting a character at the title screen. Only left/right was working.

Added the CRT screen effect used in Shotgun Legend.
