Update Pre-Alpha 1.12 | Major Improvements, Options Menu Redesigned & More!
Hello survivors, in this update we bring major improvements, such as new features, bug fixes, multiplayer advances, and more! Make sure to join our discord for any news. Also, right now Bromeliad is now 60% Off during the Autumn Sale until November 29th !! 🎁
First of all, we have completely redesigned the options menu, as we received a lot of feedback about it. Now the user interface will not move around with different resolutions, and all the changes are now better organized with also improving the save/ load of them.
Next up, we have fixed a lot of multiplayer bugs that we thought could impact the experience. Fixing sometimes the host losing their inventory, and clients not saving their positions correctly. We have also fixed the sleeping system in co-op, now you can sleep altogether to pass the hours into the next day. We have tested and improved some of the other player`s character lagging/ jiggling.
Then, we have been improving performance and memory management. Before when you looked at the more dense areas of the map there was a drop in the framerate. We have now managed to reduce this quite significantly, and the memory usage is not better optimized, meaning it should use less.
We have also implemented the dynamic log-based building system in a few more buildables. Now this system is also implemented in defensive walls. We also have been improving some tiny gameplay elements, such as introducing saving on cooking elements in the campfire, attack animation sometimes blocking, and flying fish. 👀
Update Pre-Alpha 1.11 | Log-Based Building System, Tutorial & More!
Hello survivors! In this update we bring incredible features that we have wanted to implement for a long time, and now they are finally implemented! Make sure to join our discord for any news.
First of all, we have the most important implementation, we have added a log-based placing system to our building system! This will make base construction and resource gathering much more interesting. This will be very handy in co-op with your friends, as with a team you will work faster.
So because of this implementation, we have added a new item, the log. You can obtain logs by chopping a tree down, and you can pick them up and carry up to 2 logs and progressively place them into your construction blueprint. Not every single build part has the log-based system implemented, as for example we didn't think that it would fit very well on chairs, campfires, etc. but we are totally open to any suggestions and feedback on this thought!
Next up we have implemented a new tutorial system. We have added this feature as we have got a lot of feedback from players that don't really know what to do at the start when they are playing for the first time.
With that said we have also fixed some bugs and leveled the gameplay combat experience, by modifying some of the animals and creatures' health, attack range and more. We cant wait until you start building with your friends and keep exploring the mysteries of the island.
Hello guys, we are glad to inform you that the multiplayer update is now available! We are very excited that you guys will finally be able to survive with your friends.
This is the first release of Bromeliad`s multiplayer, so in the following updates, we will continue to improve it along with the single-player experience. In order to play in co-op with your friends, someone will need to host the game, creating a room. Then the others will join that room with its name. Make sure that you are all on the same region, by checking it in the right-upper corner, where you will also be able to change it into the correspondent one.
There are some bugs in the multiplayer that we are aware of and that we will be fixing in the next update, here are they:
The positions of each player are not saved
You can't sleep
Player names above the character will often mix up
In the lobby, after one game without closing the game, the room players list will often not appear
Now there are some features that we will implement later on for the multiplayer, here are they:
Head look-at syncing
Equipped armor syncing
Decrease player flickering
Chest storage syncing
Make that all players will require to be in the boss area in order to fight
We have also improved and fixed lots of features for both the singleplayer experience and the multiplayer experience, here are some:
And that is pretty much it! We will be soon making a new trailer with all the new multiplayer features, showcasing all the new cool stuff. We hope that you will have an incredible experience surviving with your friends on the island, and let's see how many bosses you can defeat! Join our discord server for updates.

60% Off During Survival Fest Sale & Multiplayer Updates
Hello everyone, first of all, Bromeliad has 60% off during the Survival Fest, so if you still haven't got the game go now!! Discord, Twitter.
Let's now talk about the multiplayer development progress, we are now in the phase of testing to make the update go live ASAP. We are just finishing off the multiplayer saving system, we are in the process of making the host of the game save all the other players' progress and then load them back in... It shouldn't take much time as that is the primary thing that we have left for the multiplayer first version.
We also have implemented a chat where players will be able to talk quickly with themselves in-game. We have also made sure that all throwable items are now networked and synced among all clients and the host. We have added regions in the Main Menu so that all our players around the world will be able to play with a stable connection, just make sure that you all connect to the same region as your friend that is hosting the game, however, when you open up the game it will auto-select the best one for you, so it will be easier for you :)
We have also implemented a ton of networking features to make the multiplayer experience even better. So, with all that said, If you haven't got Bromeliad yet go ahead and get it with 60% off!! Join our discord to get future updates.
Hello guys! We know that you are anxious to try out the co-op mode, so today we are sharing how the development is going :).
We have nearly finished the main mechanics to have a smooth gameplay in co-op, however, still we are in need of some more time to finish up these and have the best experience without having any sort of issues. Here there is a clip of some of our tests in which we were chopping and attacking some animals, we are sorry for the low frame rate. Enjoy it!

With all that said we think that we are really advanced in development for multiplayer so let's hope that we can launch the first MP version to Bromeliad soon. Thanks for your patience.
Hello guys! Update on multiplayer development progress!😀 In this test, we were dropping items and picking them up. We are struggling with weapon synchronization however we are nearly there! Here is a short quick video.
Hello everyone! Another multiplayer development progress update! 👀 This is another of our tests, and we made a very short video to show you how we're going. This is a very early development build so there's a lot of things to improve. We are now working on weapon synchronization, so follow us at Twitter @GorkaGames and join our Discord server to keep up to date. See ya all soon! Forgive us for the errors in console #developmentbuild!
