I am excited to announce and release The Return of the Humans DLC! This free update adds a huge amount of additional content and mechanics to Buggos. Both the Buggos and the Humans have become far more deadly and are ready to take back what is theirs.
Evolution rework
The evolution chamber has been given new set of paint and the tree has been reworked. This update brings 31 new evolutions including 3 new Buggos. With these new additions there are over 120 unique upgrades you can make for your swarm!
New Human Mechanics
The Humans have also received a few new toys to battle with! They will use dropships to attack your flanks, they will send enormous mechs to tear apart your swarm, they can create and repair buildings to hold back your assault. Each new area you conquer and take back from the humans will make them stronger and more resilient. Be prepared for the human’s new technology and tactics!
Full Patch Notes
There is also a whole host of new achievements, balance updates, and general bug fixes! The full update list is down below!
General:
Updated Game Icon to match art style.
Framerate Capped to 60FPS.
Reworked the evolution tree.
Redesigned the evolution chamber
All units will now attack back any unit that attacks it first.
Added Debris into maps to add some more details.
Delete key now deletes all things – be afraid.
Added the ability to playtest maps in the level editor.
All buildings now have a progress bar when they are being built.
Dropships in level editor now spawn units every 45 seconds. These spawns get bigger and bigger over time.
New win con available in the editor: survive 10 minutes
Balance:
Fire from Flamers will no longer overlap their damage. Previously if multiple instances of fire on the ground were under a Buggo or building, each fire would burn for 1 damage every .25 seconds. Now each Buggo will have a fire burn cooldown of .25 seconds. If they would take any damage from fire, the cooldown goes into effect and they will be safe from fire until the timer runs out. The damage for the flamer is being increased to slightly make up for this. In general, this change means big bugs with lots of health are MUCH MUCH better against the Flamers and your buildings will be more resilient.
Fire radius increased from .3 -> .5 units
Flamer damage per tick 1->2
Fire time on ground 3 -> 4 seconds
Flamer health 12 -> 10
Flamer armor 2 -> 4
Selective breeding penalty reduced from 25% increased cost per bug removed, down to 15% increased cost per bug removed.
Hive based spawn capacity raised from 15 nutrients of bugs up to 20. ( you will spawn more bug early game if you have the nutrients available)
The spawn rate of command centers has been nerfed by 40% overall and now has a minimum of 1 spawn per 7 seconds at the lowest possible spawn rate.

Fixed a bug where two damage FX would spawn on humans per hit instead of one. This should minorly increase performance during large battles.

Fixed perspective on Large human houses.

Added ‘Titan’ Buggo – This enormous bug has a HUGE hp pool that it uses for walking up to its enemies and smashing them with its head.
Buggos now have a visual indication when they are affected by defensive and offensive goo tactics. This can be turned off in the menu.
There is a new Powerup ‘swarm speed’ (requires unlocking) which increases the speed of all Buggos by +1.
Carnivorous floor trap hotkey changed from t -> c
Added ‘Titan Egg’ to the building menu.
Human:
Added ‘Mech’ Human – a very large human robot capable of dealing devastation to Buggos at medium and short range.

Steam Workshop Integration!!
Update 1.6 – Beta Branch
We now have the ability to create maps within the level editor and upload them to the steam workshop. You can then subscribe to others maps, or your own, and play them from the 'Custom Levels' section of the main menu.
This version will stay in the beta branch for a few days just to make sure there are no game breaking bugs.
New – Added workshop integration! You can now upload your maps to the workshop and download and play maps from others by subscribing to them in the workshop.
Update – Made it so you can’t double place any units within the editor. This will stop people from messing up a save file. I will make it easier to sandbox later down the road.
Update – Removed the ability to run the AI in the level editor by pressing ‘j’. Trying to streamline the level editing and workshop uploading process. (Will make this a button later that will save the map and reset)
Fixed – A bug where swarm mothers could spawn swarmers over the population cap.
Fixed - More grammar cleanup in both tutorial and intro sequence.
Fixed – A very rare bug that causes the evolution chamber to not work.
Fixed - A bug where you could destroy all the human buildings in some maps and cause the win condition to activate without killing all humans.
