More new Murom Suburbs DLC Screenshots

Screenshots from the new Murom Suburbs map, which is going to be released soon. Here you can see the villages where you'll drive the passengers. After looking at these screenshots, we want it to be summer now, don't we? :)

New portion of Murom Suburbs screenshots

Here are some new screenshots of the new map for Bus Driver Simulator. As you can see, parked cars are not present yet, but this is going to be fixed in a couple of days.

On this week, we started implementing the map into the game, and it will be quite a lot of work.

Level design of Murom Suburbs is finished!

Level design of Murom Suburbs is finished. Now we have to implement the map into the game: place objects like garages, bus stops, gas stations, routes, traffic and pedestrians. It should take approximately one more month of work.
Meanwhile, take a look at the new screenshots of the city. We'll tell you more about this map (its size, routes and points of interest) within the next month.

Bus Driver Simulator is now available on Nintendo Switch!

Bus Driver Simulator has been released on Nintendo Switch today!

As you may know, it isn't the most powerful console to the date. And, of course, it was necessary to make some changes in order for the game to work correctly on Switch. Controls was partly re-done, and many game functions were improved. In doing so, despite serious performance restrictions, a decent graphics level is still maintained.

We're really glad that the game we've been working on for a long time is now present on a platform with the quickest-growing audience. So, Bus Driver Simulator is now available on all modern consoles (it should also be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X thanks to backwards compatibility on these consoles).

For Nintendo Switch owners: hurry, you can purchase the game with a discount! https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Games/Nintendo-Switch-download-software/Bus-Driver-Simulator-1872095.html

Bus Driver Simulator is now available on Xbox One and PS4!

Today Bus Driver Simulator came to Xbox One and PlayStation 4! Also, on November 13, it's coming to Nintendo Switch!

It was a quite complicated and long process (from our dream to the release itself), but anyway, that happened! We're really glad that people who don't have a powerful PC but who have a current-gen game console, would be able to play our game!

We have to mention that versions for different platforms may differ because of technical limitations of game consoles, controls specificities, different language support and publisher policy. Also, porting and publishing for consoles was done by different teams with their own approaches to the project.

As long as we don't have access to console versions of the game, we still have some kind of intrigue on how the game will work on these systems.

4 years since the development started!

In the end of October, 2016, 4 years ago, we started the development of our most ambitious project at the time - Bus Driver Simulator. We developed games before, but they were a lot smaller. We even had doubts that we're able to do that, but the game successfully got to Early Access, eventually to its release and became our most successful product.
But in the very beginning, only one programmer and a freelance modeler were working on the game. Gradually, our team became larger, and now we can do a lot of things much faster. We were quite naive by thinking that we can make some tasks quicker than we really could. But everything works according to the common rules and, if a bigger team with more budget could make a new map in a year, we can't make it quicker. Nowadays, our experience allows us to assess our possibilities more accurately, but we're still setting ourselves ambitious tasks, and this is what gives us possibilities for further growth.
This is how main menu looked in different versions of Bus Driver Simulator.

More Murom Suburbs screenshots

And some more screenshots from Murom Suburbs map. We're not showing the urban part and villages now, but level-designing is almost done. However, we'll need some time to finish our work on traffic and pedestrians, to place bus stops, garages and gas stations and routes.

Update 5.13 - Rebranding and more fixes!

We made a decision to remove "2019" from the name of Bus Driver Simulator. The reason is quite simple: we continue to develop the game, and this number no longer represents relevance of the project.

While the new map is in development, we're continuing to polish the game and prepare it for the big update. So, we're happy to tell you that update 5.13 is out!

What's new:

  • Unity Engine updated to 2020.1.2.
  • Fixed a serious bug when you could call the tow truck from pause menu, sometimes leading to softlock.
  • Fixed a problem causing passengers not to board the bus in the first Cologne scenario.
  • Made a lot of adjustments to English, Russian, German, French, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, Italian and Polish localizations.
  • Added several people to the main menu. They do various things and appear randomly.
  • Fixed a bug with front door of one of the buses.
  • Fixed another bug with the rear door of the same bus.
  • Changed the logo in UI accordingly to the changed name.

  • Replaced billboards in both cities.

  • Corrected icons for input method selection (F1).
  • Slightly adjusted text position on the tablet.
  • Changed FPS counter color.
  • Long names are now hyphenated to the next line instead of being cut in route editor.
  • Other minor fixes.

By the way, we have slightly adjusted our trailer in accordance with these changes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8keXAR9NAY4
