Buzz Aldrin's Space Program Manager

Register your interest in the 'Space Station Designer' playtest version!

As you may know, we've been working for a few years now on a space station construction and management game named 'Space Station Designer'. At the end of 2020 we created a product page on Steam and during the last 6 months we continued working on the implementation of several features (you can read more about them in this new blog post).

We'll be making version 0.3.0 of Space Station Designer publicly available here on Steam so that you can try out and give us feedback. We don't have a set date for this, but you can register your interest by clicking the 'Request Access' button in the game's store page:

Have a great weekend!

Space Station Designer now has a product page on Steam!

tl;dr: Our current game project Space Station Designer has a product page on Steam, and there’s also a playable alpha available for download on itch.io. We have been working on it during our spare time since late 2015. The game is not finished yet, but we’re approaching a point where all the features originally planned -along with some extras we’ve added along the way based on the community’s feedback- are now implemented.

What is Space Station Designer? It’s a construction and management game that puts players in charge of a private company that manages a network or orbital outposts in Earth and Lunar orbit. The Campaign mode will find you performing a wide range of activities such as recruiting and managing astronauts, building and installing modules, providing commercial services, manufacturing commercial goods, acquiring and commercializing industrial R&D technologies, leasing modules, and a lot more. Alternatively, you can play the game in Sandbox mode, where you can chill in a non-pressure environment and try out all sorts of unusual designs.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so here’s a gameplay video featuring hundreds of pictures!

You can also find more background information about Space Station Designer in our latest blog post.

We’re always open to constructive feedback, so if you have any comments or suggestions about the playable build, please drop by the forums and let us know what you think.

Happy New Year!

Space Station Designer

Hello all! Some of you might know this because we've mentioned it in some of our answers to user reviews for 'Buzz Aldrin's Space Program Manager' but, in case you missed it, you will be happy to know that we've been working on a space station construction and management game named 'Space Station Designer'.

We conducted an open alpha in December 2017, got a lot of useful feedback and charted a new development roadmap accordingly. The game is still under heavy development and it will take a while to be completed (we're only two developers working on it part-time), but we've reached a point where most of the basic ingredients are already in place and we'll be able to share periodic updates with the community :)

Today, we're happy to unveil a brand new webpage for 'Space Station Designer'

And we're also starting a mailing list! So if you want to get periodic updates about the development of the game and have access to the closed alpha (which we're planning to start soon), please subscribe using this form.

Thanks for reading!

Best wishes,
