Hello, dear players across the whole world, no matter where you live!!!
Maybe you have registered my Tweet on X about requesting localizations through negative reviews here on Steam.
I continuously update the game and its localizations to support all players, even though the game is still not profitable. Sadly, I have not yet been lucky enough to find the ideal Chinese translator - the Chinese localization process is challenging, and I want to deliver perfect work to you. I don't want to use a cheap AI/Google translation.
That's why I expressed my feelings on X about leaving negative reviews asking for new localization. These reviews can make the whole process even more challenging for me - from a financial perspective.
Together with that, I made some comments which could offend you. It was not intentional, and I am genuinely sorry about that!!!!!
I will still try to update the game and add new localizations, including Simplified Chinese, but as a solo developer, I am pretty slow. So please, excuse me for that.
Give me another chance, and be patient with me.
My personal goal is to spread fun through my games, not conflicts.
Yours sincerely,
Karel aka KO.DLL
PS: I understand that I made a few extremely foolish jokes (at least, I thought these jokes were just naive and unharming), and I did not realize I was brutally offending somebody. I am not skilled in political situations, and my social skills and English are limited - which is not an excuse!!! But I am realizing my mistakes now. So, I am genuinely sorry. I honestly did not want to offend somebody. Maybe I am naive and stupid, but I am not racist.

The most important feature of this update is that the game has been fully localized into Japanese. Thank you, Kohei Takara!!!
Also, the Japan version of BZZZT received a very cool subtitle: バズボット!- Bazubotto! (BuzzBot).
That makes this localization the eleventh one!

"Very Easy" mode is live!
Hello everyone!
I am happy to announce the new content update for my BZZZT game, which is mostly dedicated to the VERY EASY mode.
This game mode was carefully designed for kids, their parents, and anyone wanting to enjoy the BZZZT game without intense challenges.
You can now train your platformer skills at newly redesigned levels with fewer traps, enemies, and other hazards while still being able to collect trophies.
Together with that, I have implemented the following changes:
Tweaked difficulty in a few of the most challenging levels.
The game is now more optimized (code, physics, graphics assets), and it should run better at higher framerates (+160Hz)
Minor fixes.
Added the SAVEGAME backup system. The game now stores the BzzztSave.bak file in the AppData folder.
Have a great day, and please let me know your thoughts on this update.
Thank you!
Karel, aka KO.DLL
Note:
Please do not experiment with modifying SAVEGAME files. It serves only for backing-up purposes (cloud error, migrating the game to another computer with disabled Steam Cloud, etc.)
Windows, Mac, and Linux have the following locations of SAVEGAME backup files (BzzztSave.bak):
Linux: $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/unity3d or $HOME/.config/unity3d.
Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Kodll/Bzzzt
The original SAVEGAME (BzzztSave.sav) location for the Steam version is still the same (in the install directory under the "Bzzzt_Data" subfolder.

Scoring system fixes.
Milliseconds rounding is improved. Flawless and silver trophy runs are now correctly registered when the displayed stage time is precisely on the trophy time limit (0.009 is rounded down now).
The best personal score is stored correctly after finishing the stage for the first time.
A lower score can't rewrite the Silver trophy anymore.
1.007 Update - Small Fix
"Quick Restart" and "Quick Next Level" (when pressed together) are fixed now.
1.006 Update is live!
Hello! The most complex change I had to make was to optimize the game and FPS drops reported by players. It took some time, but I hope it is way better now - together with testers, we did not observe any performance drops.
Here is the complete list of all improvements and tweaks:
System improvements:
The "Camera Shake" toggle is added to the settings now.
Players can press the confirm/jump button while the teleporting animation is played to skip the reward screen animation and quickly enter the next stage.
Improved preloading system to eliminate FPS drops during the gameplay.
There are optimized shaders and particles for a smoother experience on weaker computers - it should grant at least two times better performance in all stages.
The music track is not interrupted when changed during the cutscene after the stage restart.
Improved firing turrets system. The projectiles detect collisions with enemies more precisely.
Difficulty tweaks:
The section with the double dash over the laser field in the "Dashing Machine" stage (no. 16) is now less challenging.
The laser beam in the "Why Is That Laser Chasing Me?" stage (no. 23) is slower on easy difficulty now.
The "System Overheat" stage (no. 9) has simplified the last area before teleport. Circular saws are moved off a bit.
Rockets flying towards the player in "Flight To The Island" Level (no. 26) are slower now.
Together with that, I would love to thank you for your fantastic support. The Bzzzt game has reached 37k wishlists and still has a breathtaking 99% positive reviews here on Steam.
