In The Vigilante Diaries, you’ll put yourself in the shoes of a working-class man that returns to his hometown after two tours of duty in the Vietnam War, where he’ll be faced with a city ravaged by crime, corruption and social inequality. In this situation, the only way out for someone like him will be taking justice into his own hands!
Be ready to recap his life as a masked vigilante, and to define not only his appearance, but also his rules, methods and red lines. As you go through his Journal, you will be faced with choices in a raw account of the struggles, hardships and pivotal moments that drove him to become a masked vigilante, and the events that took place after. What kind of crimefighter will you become?
This is the first story of an anthology we’re working on called An Out Of The Blue Story, and each of the stories in it will focus on different characters in very different settings, but with one thing in common: the question “how far would you go to survive?”.

Hey everyone,
Today is the release day and we are super excited to share American Arcadia with all of you!
In Out of the Blue, we always like to develop new experiences, and we're passionate about exploring new stories in every game. That is why people were surprised by how different the game was from our previous title, Call of the Sea.
Two ideas were really captivating us: the “escaping from a dystopia” theme, which is a kind of story that we all love in Out of the Blue Games, and the 70’s setting and aesthetic, which we believed is not that exploited in games and we find really appealing. So we can say that in the end, American Arcadia was born after combining both of these concepts. But American Arcadia is much more than a “escape from a 70’s dystopia” game.
We wanted to tackle a more contemporary dystopia: the society we currently inhabit. One obsessed with appearance, likes, and instant gratification. A society dominated by exhibitionism, where personal life seems to fade away, and every aspect of our private lives is subject to external scrutiny. The message we would like to share with American Arcadia is that you don't need to share your life to be happy, because in the end, you are not living your life, you are living a display life for others. Just because your life is simple, it doesn’t mean it has to be boring.
American Arcadia is also a story about cooperation and friendship. And this game would not have been possible if it wasn't for the passion, craft, and care that each member of the team has put into the development. This game is huge in every sense, compared to Call of the Sea, and teamwork was the key.

Call of the Sea VR is Out Now On Meta Quest 2
We're incredibly excited and proud to announce that Call of the Sea VR is now available on Meta Quest. Our BAFTA-nominated tale of mystery has been rebuilt from Unreal Engine 4 in order to showcase the full capabilities of Meta Quest, bringing the game's beautiful world to life in a whole new way.
Call of the Sea VR brings players to the far reaches of the South Pacific in the 1930s. Take control of Norah (voiced by Cissy Jones: Firewatch, The Walking Dead), a lone woman on the trail of her husband’s missing expedition.
Explore the game’s gorgeous tropical environments in virtual reality for the first time while taking in fantastic sights, lost ruins, and subaquatic landscapes. Search for clues and solve a variety of clever puzzles to piece together what really happened.

Call of the Sea Coming to Virtual Reality
Almost a year ago we celebrated Call of the Sea's first anniversary, and launched two Call of the Sea collector's editions - and now, we are pleased to finally announce that we have been working on Call of the Sea VR! The game will be released next year, featuring full voice-over in English, French, and Spanish.
Carefully redesigned for virtual reality, Call of the Sea VR will immerse you in beautifully crafted environments. Solve clever first-person puzzles while discovering a story-driven adventure full of love, suspense, and surreal surprises.
We are also delighted to let you know that Call of the Sea VR has been nominated for the Best Immersive Game award as part of Raindance's Immersive Selection from the 2022 Raindance Festival, which celebrates all independent XR creators, game designers and virtual world builders. We are huge VR fans ourselves, and this is a great honor for us!

Call of the Sea Creator's New Game Premieres at Summer Game Fest
Now we are proud to present the official trailer reveal that has just been unveiled at Summer Game Fest tonight!
This world premiere gives players the first detailed look at our upcoming 2.5D platformer and first-person puzzler, where players explore the unique stories of two characters – each with their own distinct gameplay – whose lives and fates are intertwined.
"As we did with Call of the Sea, we wanted to move into a world that was evocative for us. We like to create worlds that are striking, visually appealing, and evocative," commented Daniel Nombela, our Art Director at Out of the Blue. "We also like to give them a twist and in this case, we have chosen a bright and colorful vision of the 70's. The characters, the environments, and even the furniture represent this utopian and kitsch version of a city of the 70's."
“Trevor Hills is just an average person, living a mundane life and enjoying his daily routine; it's the little things that make him happy,” says Tatiana Delgado, the co-founder and Creative Director at Out of the Blue. “In the real world that wouldn’t be a problem, but in Arcadia, where citizens are secretly being broadcast live, 24/7, not being popular enough means trouble. So when Trevor realizes that everything is a lie and that the show wants to get rid of him, his life changes completely.”
But Trevor finds help from a mysterious voice promising to guide him through American Arcadia's backstage to his freedom. Is this offer real, or merely a gimmick to raise audience ratings?
"In American Arcadia, nothing is what it seems, and we have tried to convey that idea in the puzzles as well,” declares Álvaro González, our Lead Game Designer. "In most cases, the solution is never what it initially seems. The player will always have to use logic and deduction to figure out how to solve the situations presented to them."
